Bhumi Pednekar's three-month journey from dengue bed to fitness glory unveiled

Bhumi Pednekar recently shared an inspiring workout video on her Instagram handle. The post, featuring the track "Rimon from Downtown," showcases Bhumi engaging in various workout sessions. In the accompanying caption, the actress opened up about the challenges she faced post-dengue and multiple injuries. 

Bhumi shared the workout video, revealing that she struggled to walk even a kilometre after battling dengue. 

The actress also faced rib and knee injuries, coupled with significant muscle loss, turning her health into a challenging situation. She expressed that it took her three months to regain her strength, emphasizing the importance of a slow and steady recovery. She wrote, "Post dengue I couldn’t even walk a Km. Add to this a rib and knee injury along with massive muscle loss. I was a Mess!!! It’s taken me 3 months to actually get back. Slow and steady."

For the unvetsed, in November of the previous year, Bhumi had shared pictures on Instagram, lying on the bed with a channel embedded in her wrist, disclosing her battle with dengue. Despite the visible struggles, she urged people to be cautious of mosquitoes and use repellents.

Bhumi's latest appearance was alongside Arjun Kapoor in "The Lady Killer," directed by Ajay Bahl, which unfortunately did not fare well critically or commercially.

However, the actress is gearing up for her next project, the crime thriller film "Bhakshak," produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. In this film, Bhumi portrays the character Vaishali Singh, a journalist striving to uncover the truth behind a crime. Co-starring Sanjay Mishra, Sai Tamhankar, and Aditya Srivastava, "Bhakshak" is based on true events and is set to premiere on Netflix on February 9, 2024.

Additionally, Bhumi is working on "Meri Patni Ka Remake" with Arjun Kapoor.
