BB13| Mahira Sharma: I Have Rejected Some Offers to Participate in The Show

Television’s most controversial yet entertaining reality show Bigg Boss is back with season 13. Superstar Salman Khan who recently launched the show in Mumbai’s Metro yard will introduce his house guests on Sunday i.e. 29th September. While there are speculations and rumors about the participants in the thirteenth season, promos featuring a few confirmed contestants have been revealed recently. 

Actress Mahira Sharma who was recently seen in Colors show Bepanah Pyaar has been locked as one of the contestants of the show. 

In a candid conversation with India Forums, Mahira shared her excitement of participating in the show and the quality that she thinks might help her win the show. 

There are a lot of reality shows out there, why did you choose Bigg Boss? 

I chose Bigg Boss because I love the show and Bigg Boss gives you a platform to showcase your real personality in front of the audience. My fans will get to know me better through Bigg Boss. 

Bigg Boss has proven to be a platform where a lot of actors have participated and the fame from the show has gifted them some really good work opportunities. So is participating in the show a career move for you?

You are absolutely true, people do get a lot of good opportunities after Bigg Boss, but right now I’m doing music videos and I was really busy and I have even left some of my work and rejected some offers to participate in the show. I personally like this show and of course the show gives you fame, so I really wanted to participate in it.   

Do you have any strategy or game-plan for the show?

I don’t have any plans as of now. When I will enter the house and get to meet people, whatever will happen it will be spontaneous and real. I believe that the format of the show is such that you can’t be fake, so yeah I’ll be as real as I am. I’ll act according to the situation.

This time it is going to be an all celebrity season. Do you think it’s a good thing?

I think it’s a good thing because when commoners enter the house, they come with the intention of gaining fame and attention, whereas celebs already have an image to maintain. Sometimes, commoners, in order to gain attention do some indecent antics and it becomes ugly. 

In the past few seasons, we have seen that some contestants have got romantically involved with each other. If you find someone in the house, would you like to go ahead with it?

I don’t think you will get to see that in the show. I’m the kind of girl who doesn’t fall in love easily. I’m single in real life, even though I have enough options. The truth now is that I’m in a relationship with Bigg Boss and I’ll concentrate on that. 

Which quality of yours do you think can help you win the show?

I think I’m a perfect candidate for Bigg Boss because I think I’m very entertaining, I can perform tasks, I can cook, I’m stylish and I have opinions and I can take a stand for what I believe in. I think people will love watching me in the show.
