BB13| Devoleena's Mother: I Think Asim Was More Eligible Than Paras

Devoleena Bhattacharjee, known for her portrayal of Gopi Bahu in a popular TV show, Saath Nibhana Saathiya has entered the thirteenth season of Bigg Boss. However, she was eliminated along with fellow housemate, Rashami Desai recently. Later, it was revealed that the two were never evicted but sent to the secret room. Now, the girls have re-entered the house, which has made some happy while some are disappointed.

Recently, we reached out to Devoleena’s mother to know her opinions about the game and the contestants.

 How does it feel to watch Devoleena on the show?

It feels really good. I like to watch her on Television. It is not just about Bigg Boss, I love to watch my daughter on TV since her previous shows.

 How much do you miss her?

I miss her a lot. I even feel like crying when I miss her and that’s the reason why I try to keep myself busy with other work. I try to be happy and keep myself busy with Angel, my daughter’s favorite. Whenever I see her crying in the show, I can’t control myself and I cry along with her. I even tell her from here that don’t cry my child, I’m with you.

There have been a lot of fights happening inside the house over kitchen duties. What do you have to say about this?

Whenever she felt like cooking, she used to come in the kitchen and ask me to move aside that I want to cook today. She loved cooking biryani, chicken and mutton. It was easy to cook here for four people but there she has to cook for 12-13 people, which is tough. Here, she did it as a sport and fun. It is true that she used to complain about being in the kitchen all the time but then if she is in the kitchen all day long then how would she play the real game. Therefore, a certain time should be fixed for kitchen duties so that everyone gets an equal amount of time to spend with each other.

How is Devoleena’s anger?

She doesn’t really have anger issues but yes, she sometimes gets angry at me. She is not a short-tempered person. Actually, when we used to stay together, we have a lot of fun as a family but there in Bigg Boss house, it doesn’t happen. You are locked inside a place, not for one but three months. All the contestants are also new, they don't know anything about each other. So, their actions will have reactions.

How did you feel about Devoleena’s sudden eviction? Did you get to talk to her during that time?

No, I didn’t get to talk to her. Next morning, her friends called me to know if she’s home. I myself had zero ideas regarding her whereabouts, her friends consoled me and asked me not to worry that I might get a call from her soon or they have kept her in some safe place.

Do you feel it was a lesson from Bigg Boss for Devoleena and Rashami teaching them to play their own game rather than supporting Paras and Mahira?

Yes, I agree with this. Bigg Boss played a good game with both of them. It can be called a good as well as a bad decision. Wrong decision because there were other housemates, who are better than Paras. Now, what happened is gone, we can’t alter it. I just want to tell Devoleena that she should play her games with her own mind. I think Asim was more eligible than Paras and they should have voted for him instead.
