BB Marathi 2- Surekha Punekar: I don’t know why was Kishori Shahane jealous of me?

Colors Marathi’s popular reality show, Bigg Boss hosted by ace actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar is high on drama with various twists and turns coming up every day. The show recently witnessed the comeback of ex-contestants Sai Lokur, Pushkar Jog, Sharmistha Raut and Smita Gondkar for a task. In yesterday’s episode, Lavani Queen Surekha Punekar got evicted from the house after a successful stint of one and a half months. We got in touch with her to know about her journey, she said, “It was a wonderful experience. Everyone gave me a lot of respect and love as if I was their mother and it feels really good. I have learnt so much from the show and have come out as a different Surekha.”

There was a tiff between Surekha and veteran actress Kishori Shahane Vig, in fact, Surekha often allegedly said that Kishori pinpoints her age factor. Talking about the same, she expressed, “Kishori always kept talking about my age, but actually she is elder to me. So why is this age coming in between? Everyone used to give me respect and had given me the position of a mother, she had a problem with it. I still don’t understand why was Kishori jealous of me?”

Surekha comes from the Lavani (popular Marathi dance form) background and has trained many girls under her. With constant hard-work, will and determination, she has carved a niche for the art of Lavani dance by marking her presence in the audience’s heart as well as represented India at America. After Bigg Boss, she aims at fighting for the Vidhan Sabha election and do good for the country.
