TellyBuzz decided to speak to Arshima to know how her journey has been with Bade Achhe... so far.
Talking about being a noted actor's daughter, Arshima says, "Well not many of them know that I am Dr Ved Thapar's daughter. My father has done many shows and he played Raja in the famous show Raja Aur Rancho. He was also seen in Lagi Tujse Lagaan, but it was not his popularity that got me roles. I remember when I was an Assistant Director for Laagi Tujse Lgaan for almost two months they didn't know I am Dr Ved's daughter. I didn't like telling everyone about it and I got Bade... only after giving an audition and not because I am Dr Ved's daughter. Life has been quite usual and acting has been my passion. Since childhood I wanted to get into acting and my dad is my biggest inspiration for me."
About her role in Bade Acche... she said, "I am very happy with my role in Bade Achhe... as it has so many shades that I have to portray and I am also shown as a possessive, romantic girl which every girl is so it's not a very over the top kind of role at all. She is a very sweet and loving girl who falls in love and this is what attracted me to take up the show."
What about the leap, we ask her. "Well, I must say I really don't mind playing older characters. The thing is I have grown up watching Ekta Kapoor's shows and I would love to age if I am a lead. As an actor, I wouldn't mind playing the role of an aged person since I feel as an actor one should be ready to portray all types of characters.
Here's wishing Arshima all the best for your future endeavours.

That's the right attitude, Arshima! Frankly, it disappoints me when I hear of how some TV actor/actress didn't want to age for the sake of preserving their glamorous appearance on screen. The profession is all about moulding yourself according to the script and constantly challenging yourself by creating and presenting a viable persona to the audiences. All the best for your future.
