Arbaaz Khan opens up on their family dynamics: "My father never imposed Helen aunty on us"

Actor Arbaaz Khan opened up about the unique and heartwarming relationship he shares with Helen, the second wife of his father, veteran writer Salim Khan in a recent interview. Arbaaz shed light on the dynamics of his family, expressing deep admiration and respect for both his mother, Salma Khan, and stepmother, Helen.

Salim Khan's decision to marry Helen, while still being married to Salma, could have created complexities and tensions within the family. However, Arbaaz revealed that his father handled the situation with utmost sensitivity and understanding. Salim never imposed Helen on his children, recognizing the importance of their bond with their biological mother. Arbaaz shared while talking to Bollywood Bubble, "My father never imposed Helen aunty on us. He knew that for these kids, their mother was important."

The actor spoke warmly of Helen and acknowledged the unique space she holds in their lives. Despite being a part of the family, Helen never attempted to replace Salma or disrupt the family's dynamics. Instead, she embraced her role as an integral figure in their lives and supported the family's unity. Arbaaz recalled, "She was just happy that there was someone in her life who is just going to be there for her, and she knew he had his own family, a wife, and kids, and she won't disrupt that."

Over time, the bond between the family members has only grown stronger. Arbaaz acknowledged that their journey was not without its challenges, but they faced them together, emerging as an inseparable unit. "It's difficult for my mom at the time, but she dealt with it. Whatever their reasons were to keep things going... They've had their own struggles that we have seen as kids, but they've gone through that. And today, all of them are inseparable," Arbaaz said.

The Khan family, including Salim, Salma, Helen, Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, and daughter Alvira Agnihotri, along with Salim's adopted daughter Arpita with Helen, regularly come together to celebrate birthdays and festivals. Their gatherings are marked by love, camaraderie, and mutual respect.
