Anushka Sen Joins Hina Khan in Rahat Kazmi’s Indo-Hollywood film ‘Country of Blind’

Actress Anushka Sen who is known for roles in Television shows like Baal Veer, Internet Wala Love and Jhansi Ki Rani, recently bagged her first movie. As we earlier reported, she played the protagonist in acclaimed filmmaker Rahat Kazmi’s Lihaf, which garnered a lot of appreciation when it was announced during the Cannes Festival this year. Now, the actress has once again joined hands with the filmmaker for his upcoming Indo-Hollywood film titled Country of Blind.

Anushka took to her Instagram to share the news. “Hey, Guys! Here’s the look of my next Indo-Hollywood Movie “Country of Blind”, Directed by my fav @rahatkazmi, Sir. Based on H.G.Wells novel, a story set in the 1800s about the inhabitants who have no vision. I am really excited and happy to part of this movie,” she wrote.

As we reported earlier, the project will also feature popular actress Hina Khan, who slayed with her portrayal of Komolika in Star Plus’ Kasauti Zindagii Kay 2. She is the main female protagonist in the film, actor Shoib Nikash Shah has been cast opposite her while Inaamul Haq, Airlift and Filmistaan fame, will be seen as the main antagonist. She will be seen playing the role of a visually challenged girl in the film.

The project has been shot in the Himalayas and is a story set in the 1800s about the inhabitants of the valley who have no vision and yet are living a fulfilled and secluded life without any attachments to the outside world. Hollywood producer Cory Tucek has come on board ensuring that the film will have the US release before it is released globally. The film is being shot both in Hindi as well as in English simultaneously.
