Yesterday, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah shared his views and expressed his thoughts on the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 (CAA).
During an interview with The Wire, he openly slammed the Government for implementing CAA, and apart from that he also lauded Deepika Padukone for her courage for visiting JNU and showing solidarity with the students. He brutally slammed Anupam Kher calling him a clown and a sycophant and mentioned that he does not need to be taken seriously.
Now, Anupam Kher has posted a video reacting to the jibe.
Kher took to his social media handle and conveyed his message to Shah through a video. He mentioned that Naseeruddin Shah’s judgement is clouded because of the ‘substances’ has consumed for years. He also added a list of celebrities Shah has criticized which includes - Amitabh Bachchan, Virat Kohli, Shah Rukh Khan and more, so he believes he is in ‘good company’.
The video featured Anupam Kher saying, “If you could criticise Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Shah Rukh Khan and Virat Kohli, then I'm sure I'm in great company. And none of them has taken your comments seriously. Because we all know this is not you speaking. The substances you have been consuming for years have taken away your sense of judging what is right and wrong."
We wonder what Shah has to say about all the allegations Kher has spoken of.
For the unversed, Naseeruddin Shah in his interview with The Wire, said, that “I am not on Twitter. These people, the Twitterati, and I really wish they would make up their minds in what they believe in. Someone like Anupam Kher has been very vocal. I don't think he needs to be taken seriously, he is a clown, any number of his contemporaries from NSD, NFTII can test to his psychopathic nature, it is in his blood, he can't help it.”
India has seen a major political revolution and which will eventually change the face of politics in a democratic country. While the youth have taken it to the street as they stand united against the violence inflicted on students of Jamia Millia University and JNU, even the Bollywood celebrities have joined into the young forces.
