Amitabh Bachchan hospitalised in Kokilaben hospital; undergoes angioplasty - REPORTS

Breaking news from the heart of Bollywood sends shockwaves as reports emerge of megastar Amitabh Bachchan being admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital. According to the latest updates, the iconic actor underwent an angioplasty procedure in the early hours of Friday, March 15. Allegedly, Bachchan sought medical attention after experiencing breathlessness, leading to his hospitalization and subsequent heart operation.

Initial reports suggest that Amitabh, who had been attending events, started feeling unwell, prompting his visit to the hospital for a routine checkup. However, doctors advised immediate intervention, resulting in the angioplasty procedure. Thankfully, the veteran actor is said to be recovering. 

In a recent social media post on Friday, Amitabh Bachchan expressed his gratitude with a cryptic message, stating, "T 4950 - in gratitude ever..." Additionally, he shared a promotional video for his Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) team. While there's been no official statement from Bachchan or his family regarding his health condition, fans have flooded social media platforms with messages of concern and wishes for his speedy recovery.

This recent health scare is not the first time Amitabh Bachchan has faced medical challenges. Earlier this year, the actor underwent surgery for a wrist injury, which he disclosed through pictures shared on his blog. In March last year, while shooting for 'Kalki 2898 AD' in Hyderabad, Bachchan sustained injuries to his back due to harness strain, necessitating a period of bed rest. 

Despite health setbacks, Amitabh Bachchan continues to maintain a busy professional schedule. His upcoming project, 'Kalki 2989 AD', directed by Nag Ashin, has garnered significant anticipation among fans. As the legendary actor recuperates from his recent medical procedure, the industry and his legion of admirers eagerly await his return to health and the silver screen.
