Alankrita Shrivastava to Helm Netflix India's New Series!

Netflix is one of the top players in creating digital content. The popular OTT platform has brought several shows and movies online and has been at the forefront in the creation of original digital content for various markets. The streaming giant entered the Indian market with Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Sacred Games, India’s first web series and went on to produce a number of original series and movies for the Indian audience. 

Now, the latest buzz is that the platform is bringing another web series in collaboration with Lipstick Under My Burkha fame Alankrita Shrivastava.

The series will be titled Bombay Begums and as the name suggests, the story will be based on the life of five women across generations from the financial capital. It will depict their struggles and experiences with their desire, ethics and personal problems while being part of the male-dominated society. The series is written and directed by Alankrita and Executive Producer for the series is Chernin Entertainment and Endemol Shine India.

Recently, Netflix India launched the second season of its much-awaited series Sacred Games, which has become a trending topic on social media.
