In an exciting development for Bollywood fans, versatile actor Akshaye Khanna is all set to join Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna in the highly-anticipated historical drama "Chhaava." Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film explores the compelling narrative of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Vicky Kaushal, who has been making waves in the industry with his remarkable performances, will essay the pivotal role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna will grace the screen as Yesubai Bhonsale, a character of great historical significance. The film also boasts a powerful antagonist in the form of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, a role that will be portrayed by none other than Akshaye Khanna, mentions latest reports. 

The film's intriguing narrative delves into a pivotal era of Indian history, featuring the epic battle of wills between Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Aurangzeb. 

Filming for "Chhaava" is set to kick off in Mumbai in October, commencing with an initial one-week schedule. The project has already garnered significant attention and anticipation due to its compelling historical backdrop and a stellar ensemble cast.

Interestingly, both 'Sam Bahadur' and 'Animal' are scheduled to hit the silver screens on December 1, 2023, setting the stage for an epic box-office clash.
