Akshay Kumar on Prithviraj: My mom would have been really proud

The trailer of Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar's Prithviraj was released today, and an event took place in Mumbai for the same. At the media interaction, the actor got talking about not just the movie and how it is an educational movie, but he also got emotional and mentioned about his late mother, Aruna Bhatia.

He went on to say how his mom would have been proud of him if she was around to see him in the titular role and play Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan.

He also spoke about the movie and while talking about the same, he said,

"Prithviraj is an educational film. It is something everyone should learn and know about. I am very proud to be associated with the film and I wish my mother would be around to see me playing this. She would be so proud." 

When asked if he had to unlearn anything, he mentioned how he simply went to the sets and did as the director asked.

Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the movie narrates the story of Prithviraj Raso. Besides Akshay, the movie features Manushi Chhillar as the female lead along with Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, among others.
