India Forums was the first one to break the news about generation leap in Colors’ show ‘Balika Vadhu 2’.
The show will soon take a leap and actors Shivangi Joshi, Randeep Rai and Samriddh Bawa have been finalized to play pivotal roles of Anandi, Anand and Jigar respectively.
The promo of the same recently came out where apart from introducing the new cast, we come to know how troublesome Anandi's relationship is with Jigar and coming in as a breath of fresh air and hope is a smiling and innocent-looking man, Anand.
Recently, there were reports about actress Shiju Kataria who played the role of Sejal in the show quitting the same because of the leap as she didn’t want to play a mother to grown up actors. She had said, “Well, it was my conscious decision on quitting the show as the leap will have older generation coming in and I was not comfortable playing a mother to co-stars who are nearly my age. Even when I picked the character of Sejal initially we were told that the leap is a far long plan. Anandi and Jigar would stay Sherya and Vansh for good 2-3years, but the leap was quite sudden and new characters with a completely different track were introduced. I decided that I wouldn't continue playing Sejal post the leap”.
Now, the latest buzz is that actor Anshul Trivedi who essayed the role of Anandi’s father in the show has also decided to walk out of the show. Confirming the same to IWMBuzz.com, Anshul said, “Balika Vadhu 2 has been a fulfilling experience. I am glad to have been one of the faces of the show till now. My best wishes to the new team. I am certain that the new cast will also be loved by the audience. I am thankful that our producers Mr Sunjoy Waddhwa, Mrs Comall Sunjoy Waddhwa and the channel chose me for the portrayal of the key part in the second season of this iconic show. I will not be continuing playing Khimji in the show as the story is taking a generation leap. I wish our paths cross once again in good times in future.”
The makers are currently in a look out for actors who can essay the roles of Sejal and Khimji.
