Aryan Khan and his family would definitely feel relieved by the recent developments in the drugs-on-cruise case as NCB gave the star child a clean chit in this case. However, now it appears that Sameer Wankhede, the former zonal director, is in hot water.
According to the most recent ANI report, NCB DG SN Pradhan informed CNN-News 18 that the first probe discovered several errors in Wankhede's handling of the issue. Pradhan further stated that the final report on the Wankhede Vigilance Enquiry will be released soon.
ANI tweeted, "It is reported that Govt has requested Competent Authority to take necessary punishment against ex-NCB employee Sameer Wankhede for his faulty probe into Aryan Khan narcotics haul case". According to reports the government has already taken action in the issue of Sameer Wankhede's fraudulent caste certificate.
The vigilance team is also looking into the corruption angle, and the findings will be included in the report soon, he said. Wankhede has declined to comment on the news.
For the uninitiated, NCB withdrew Mumbai zonal unit Sameer Wankhede from the inquiry and transferred it to its operations section in Delhi. Wankhede was subjected to a departmental vigilance investigation after an independent witness in the case stated that those involved attempted to extort him.
Meanwhile, Aryan Khan is developing multiple ideas, of which a web series and a feature film created by him for Red Chillies Entertainment are at the forefront. Aryan has been working on these concepts for quite some time and has already started the series.
