Aditya Deshmukh, who is currently seen in the TV show Suhaagan, says being healthy should be a lifestyle and not the demand of a particular profession. He said, “I think it's important to lead a healthy lifestyle, regardless of the industry you belong to. It is not necessary that I'm an actor, and I should lead a healthy life, I should not only be following it. For me, a healthy and wealthy life is equally important. That's what matters to me.”

Calling himself old-school, he shared that he wouldn’t trade his dal-chawal, roti, and sabzi for anything in this world. He said, “Home-cooked food is irreplaceable. The taste of food cooked by a mother's hands, you won't get any other food like it. I'm an actor; I endorse brands, and do ads, but that is work, giving information about a product and promoting only those products that benefit people and not those that are harmful to them. But still, I'm a little old school when it comes to food.”

“I always believe that, at the end of the day, home-cooked food is the best. You can't replace that. At least once a day, everyone should have a meal that includes roti, sabzi, dal, and rice. Every actor on sets gets their full home-cooked food, no matter how big of a star you are. That's the staple food of our nation, and it is very important,” he added.

But he is particular about reading the ingredients of store-bought food items. “I do read about carbohydrates, cholesterol before buying any product because that is very important. So, like I remember, to lead a healthy life, you need to control your taste buds. It's an 8:2 ratio, 80% is your diet and 20% is your workout. And if you focus on your diet, about what you're eating, quantity, and how you eat it— Usually, I see about carbs, calories, and sugar intake. These things really matter to me and for my body to be fit,” he said.

Aditya also believes that people should read about products and their ingredients before buying them. He feels that if one is not aware of it, they should seek help from their consultant, or trainer. He added, “According to me, until and unless you don't have knowledge about any product, do not buy it, because half knowledge is always dangerous, and what I always do is call my friends, trainer, or someone who has knowledge about that particular product. I think a dietician can guide you after giving them all the details about it. So they will explain to you which things are harmful to you or which are good for you.”

He recommended the same advice for workouts as well and said, “It's good to have guidance from someone when we do not have knowledge. It's good to know that it is from the influencers, and I respect them.”

He also revealed that he follows fitness consultant Rujuta Diwekar and said, “I believe in what she believes, like whatever grows in our country, we should eat that. There is a saying that mangoes have many calories, but it is a seasonal fruit, and it is very important to have seasonal fruit. Everything happens or grows for a reason, be it fruit, or anything else, if it is seasonal, you all should have it. Mangoes are helpful to clear all toxins from your body. I really follow that.”

“So I really admire the way she is practical, blunt about her viewpoints, and I really like that about her and respect her,” Aditya ended.
