Sridevi, the timeless icon of Indian cinema, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of her admirers and loved ones, even after her sudden departure. Today, on August 13, which would have marked her 60th birthday, her daughter Janhvi Kapoor chose to honor her memory through heartfelt messages shared on social media.
Janhvi posted a cherished throwback photo, depicting Sridevi seated on her mother's lap during a film shoot.
Janhvi emotionally conveyed,
"Happy birthday Mumma. I am aware that being on a film set with your own mother was one of your cherished experiences. Today, as I find myself on a set on your birthday, I wish more than ever that you were here with me, so we could playfully convince everyone that it was your 35th birthday, not your 60th. You could guide me on whether I am pushing my boundaries enough and your eyes could reveal if I was making you proud. I am certain that you would be content observing us strive, all in your honor. Each day, my love for you grows. You remain the most extraordinary woman in the world to me. I am certain that you are still by our side. You are the driving force that propels us forward; I hope you are enjoying heavenly treats like payasam, ice creams, and caramel custards today."
For the unversed, Sridevi left for heavenly abode on February 24, 2018, due to accidental drowning in her hotel bathtub after losing consciousness, her absence has been deeply felt ever since.
On her professional front, Janhvi was recently seen in Baawal opposite varun Dhawan, the film was well received by the audience. And if reports are to be believed, the actress will soon be seen in the film Mrs. Aur Mr. Mahi, which is a sports drama film.ALSO READ: Janhvi Kapoor wraps up 'Devara'; celebrates with a bowl of tres leches
