Huye Anjaane Kyun?
Taani had just come home from college. She had come to Mumbai hoping to surprise Swayam, only to be surprised herself when she learned he had gone to college on the holiday. She had headed to the college to meet him when she noticed a person with wide square specks leaving college premises with a smirk on his face. She had then entered the college and heard yelling and screaming till the atrium and followed the commotion. She stopped at the entrance of the rehearsal hall noticing the heated argument going on between Rey, Swayam and Sharon. Sharon tried to talk but Rey kept interrupting her and accusing Swayam. She had thought of going and calming the situation but when she noticed everyone had lost their cool and the kind of accusations being hurled at each other, she decided to keep quiet. But two things happened which rooted her to her spot. Swayam lost his cool and Rey slapped Swayam. She had gone behind Swayam, but he refused to acknowledge her presence. She then returned to the rehearsal hall to confront Rey where she noticed Sharon accusing Rey. She wanted to help Sharon and start anew with her but Sharon had pushed her aside, refusing to take her help. She wanted to leave then but Rey’s broken voice had stopped her. She had tried a lot to forget him and move on in the past month but was unsuccessful in her many attempts. She tried listening to Rey but her disappointment in him increased and anger like never before surged in her. This was not the Rey she had loved. Taani wanted to wait for Swayam but she knew he needed space so she went in her room and decided to set it.
...
Sharon was at her place, trying to contact Swayam. Despite Sharon's numerous calls and messages, Swayam continued to ignore them. Sharon had called Swayam’s place multiple times where Kaka mentioned Swayam still hadn’t returned. She decided to visit his house but then she remembered that Taani had returned and she was the last person Sharon wanted to face right now. Sharon was embarrassed to face Taani as she now knew everything. Sharon was a very private person and when the whole debacle happened in front of Taani, she felt uncomfortable. Moreover, she didn’t know how Taani would behave after witnessing such an ugly fight and added to it, their weird equation before Taani left. Sharon sighed, tired of everything and worried because of Swayam’s absence.
...
Rey was in his room, thinking about the shocking turn of events. He regretted slapping Swayam but still held Swayam responsible for all the mess that was created.
“Ye kya hua mujhse? Main Swayam ko aise kaise slap kar sakta hoon. Par vo bhi kuch bhi kaise bol sakta hai. How can he be glad that Taani was not with me. And vo Sharon wali baat. Itna galat kaise soch liya mere baare mein usne.” Rey pulled on his hair harshly.
But what shocked Rey more was Taani’s return. He wasn’t sure if she had returned for good or she had planned a visit. But he felt the same ticklish feeling while thinking about Taani. Now that Taani had returned, a hope surged in him. A hope of being understood. A hope of not being lonely. A hope of getting back with her.
…
Taani had been continuously calling Swayam but he didn’t answer her call. She dropped him tons of messages and fell asleep on the couch waiting for him. The sound of the doorbell startled her awake. She looked around and realized she had fallen asleep on the couch. She rushed to the door hoping it to be Swayam and was relieved to find him standing at the door with complete desolation. Without glancing at Taani, Swayam brushed past her to move to his room.
“Bhai..” Taani’s voice stopped him but he didn’t turn around.
“Kaha the aap? Main aapka puri raat intejaar karti rahi par na aap aaye naa hi aapne mere calls aur messages ka reply kiya.”
“Leave it Taani. Not now.” Swayam replied sternly.
“Kyun? Kyun leave it? Kal bhi aap meri baat sune bina hi chale gaye, na calls ka reply, na messages ka. I was worried.” Taani replied in frustration.
“Worried! Huh.” Swayam laughed mirthlessly.
“Ismein hasne ki kya baat hai? Main worried thi aur aapko uss baat pe hasna hai. Especially after what happened yesterday.”
“Enough Taani. Just because I am not saying anything doesn’t mean you have the right to say whatever you want to. Please leave me alone.” Swayam waved her off and started going towards his room because of which Taani lost her temper.
“You can’t ignore me like that. Aur kabse aap itne insensitive bann gaye? Aap shayad bhool rahe ho ki I always cared for you and I would always do. Maine hamesha aapko ek level headed, reasonable and understanding friend samjha but after what you did yesterday..”
“Bass Taani!” Swayam shouted, losing all his calm.
Swayam and Taani had reached their breaking points. All the misunderstandings, pent up feelings, frustrations were pouring out in the worst way possible.
“Mujhe insensitive bula rahi ho? Khud kya ho? Tumne meri care ki hoti to you would have listened to half the things I tried telling you but no. Tumhe apne zidd ke aage kuch dikhta kaha hai? And tum mujhe ya kal ki situation ko jaanti hi kitna ho jo itne comments pass kiye jaa rahi ho? I don’t think I need to learn from you on how to treat my friends. The way you had behaved and reacted in the past when you were the GS says a lot about you.”
“Friends huh? GS! Really bhai? That's all you have to say? Yahi to baat hai na. Aapne kabhi mujhe samjha hi nahi. Aapke liye hamesha aapke friends, Sharon, Rey, aapka dance yahi sab important raha hai. Aur baat kare friends ki. Let’s face it now. They really weren’t my friends. Unke liye hamesha main aapki behen ya Rey ki girlfriend thi. To aap apna ye lecture apne pass rakhiye.”
“Friends nahi the? Wow. Tabhi to puri gang ne tumhe itna samjha, tumhare aur Rey ke relationship ko mend karne ki koshish ki, everyone tried to be calm because you were our friend but nahi, tumhe to apni zidd, apni position aur apne thoughts ke aage kuch dikhta kaha hai. You were blinded by your position then and you are blinded by your assumptions now.”
“Mujhe samajhne ki koshish ki? I really don’t think so. Agar mere position ko samajhte to mere itna rude behavior hota hi nahi. Do you even know what was being said about me, my relation with Rey and you guys? Aapko pata kaha se hoga? You all were in your lala land of NDC and establishing your D3 team. Team ne bhi mujhe respect tabhi diya when I stood up for you guys infront of the NDC officials. And rahi Rey se relation mend karne ki baat. Mujhe ye kabhi chahiye hi nahi tha ki hamare baare mein kisi ko pata chale. Aapko bhi. Because somewhere I knew, jab sabko pata chalega to hamara rishta hamara nahi hoga. Aur dekho wahi hua.”
“To tumhe lagta hai ki tumhari koi galti hi nahi thi?”
“Thi na. Bilkul thi. Sabse badi galti Rey aur aapko mera samajhne ki. Aapke friends ko mere friends samajhne ki. Khud ko chodke aap dono ko priority banane ki. Rey ke liye mere career tak ko importance na dene ki. Kyunki aap dono ki life mein main priority pe nahi thi. Maine ye to maan liya tha ki aap dono ki priority dance hai. Aapki to Sharon bhi hai. Par even for Rey, I wasn't his priority. And I am not okay with that anymore. Being blinded by his love.”
“Are you even hearing yourself? You have changed so much. Mujhe kabhi nahi laga tha ki main tumse ye kahunga par tum selfish ho gayi ho. You are not thinking about anyone but yourself. Aur main iss Taani ko to nahi jaanta. Meri behen cute thi, weird harkate karti thi, mistakes karti thi par she knew how to value people and relationships. Par mere saamne abhi jo khadi hai, vo ek selfish ladki hai jise khud ke baare mein chodke kisi ke emotions, space ya feelings ki value nahi hai.”
“Jab koi aur nahi karta na tab khud ko hi khud ki value karni padti hai, bhai. Mere liye kabhi koi nahi tha. To prioritize me, to care for me, to stand up for me.”
“Papa ki to laadli hai tu. He can’t stay away without talking to you even for a day.” Taani laughed, humourlessly.
“Tauji ki main tab tak laadli thi jab tak unki baatein sunti thi. Mumbai aane ki permission tak mujhe aapki wajah se mili. Taaki aapki care karne ke liye koi hoga, taaki mujhpe koi watch rakh sake. Aapne dekha hoga Mumbai aane ke baad ki tauji mujhe roz call karte hai, but he always enquired about you bhai. It was for you he used to call, kyunki mujhse baat karke unhe ye samajh aata tha ki how you are doing.”
“To tu kehna kya chahti hai? Ghar pe maa, daadi, bua, hamare cousins kisine aaj tak tujhse pyaar nahi kiya? No one cared about you? Chachu aur chachi ki death ke baad sabne tujhe itne laad pyaar se rakha, teri choti se choti wish tak ko pura kiya gaya hai Taani. Aur tu keh rahi hai tujhe kisine prioritize nahi kiya, teri care nahi ki.”
“Haan. Maine ye kabhi nahi kaha ki kisine mujhe pyaar nahi kiya. I always led a sheltered life in Jodhpur. Sabse choti hoon aur jaisa aap bol rahe ho sabki laadli bhi hoon, but uss wajah se mujhe aaj tak ghar pe kisine seriously liya hi nahi. Aaj tak mujhe koi samajh hi nahi paaya, ek taiji ko chodke. Mujhe bahut laad pyaar mila hai, par main kabhi kisi ke liye priority nahi thi and I was okay with it but when I prioritized myself to bhi aap sabko problem hai.” Taani muttered, tired of the argument.
“Kisiko tumhe khudko prioritize karne mein problem nahi hai Taani. Just look at yourself. Kitna change ho gayi ho. You know, tumhari care, tumhara pyaar, tumhari befikri, tumhari understanding, tum jo itne jaldi logon ko forgive kar deti ho, ek second chance mein believe karti ho, that's what makes you Taani. I understand college website pe bahut galat likha hoga par even you know ki log bolte hai, aur hum unke bolne pe rok nahi laga sakte. Mujhe ye samajh nahi aa raha tumne logon ki baaton ko itna dil pe kyun liya? Itna ki tumhara relationship, tumhari friendships, sabne suffer kiya, including yourself. Maine tumhe ek baat kahi thi when I found out you and Shivam were dating. Yaad hai?”
“Aapne..” Taani tried to recollect but was not able to.
“Just remember, main tumhare saath hoon. But do take care of yourself. Hurt mat karna and most importantly, kisi aur ko hurt mat karne dena, khudko.” Taani’s eyes welled up with tears.
“Taani, pehle bhi kaha tha, ab bhi keh raha hoon. Aisi koi baat nahi hoti jo baat karke solve naa ki jaa sake. Itna sab kuch agar tumhare mann mein tha to kabhi share kyun nahi kiya?”
“Kyunki meri aadat hi nahi hai kisise jaake apne problems share karne ki. Aaj tak kabhi kiya hi nahi. I am used to solving all my problems by myself.”
“I understand Taani and we are very much alike in that department. Par agar maine koi baat over the time realize ki hai toh hamari chuppi hi hamari sabse badi problem bann sakti hai. And kisi ke saath problem share karne se, ya kisi ki help lene se hum chote nahi hote. Saamne wala shayad aisa perspective hame present kare jo hame apne problems face karne mein help kare.”
“Par bahut baar yahi help kisi aur ke hurt ki wajah bhi bann sakti hai.”
“I know tum Sharon aur Rey ki baat kar rahi ho. All the fake breakup fiasco.”
“The thing is I do understand ki unka intention was right but mujhe nahi accha laga ki unhone ek third person ko hamare relation ke beech aane diya.”
“Taani, vo third person, Sharon thi. Rey ki best friend. Dono impulsive hai and apne impulse mein aake unhone ye decision liya.”
“To fir, kal aapko kis baat ka bura laga bhai? Sharon ne to Rey se hi baat ki thi. In fact Rey aap dono ke best friend hai.” Taani prodded, wanting to know the reason behind the fight.
“Taani, cheezin bahut badal gayi hai. Vo baat personal thi aur ye professional hai.”
“Professional matlab?”
“Vo.. Actually..”
“Let’s not do this again bhai.”
“Kya?”
“Yahi, cat and mouse ka game. We both clearly like to keep our lives private but vo possible nahi hoga kyunki we both go to the same college and we also run in the same circles. Main chahe jitna bhi try kar loon, dance team se hamesha contact rahega hi. Fir chahe as aapke friends ho ya as a dance team. So jo hai let it out. Maybe hum milke kuch kar paaye.”
“Actually, Rey bahut change ho gaya hai Taani. Jabse tum gayi ho, he started staying aloof. Hum sab kitna kehte the usko to spend time with us but he wasn’t interested. Tumhare jaane ke baad se hi uska poora focus dance pe hai. D3 ko professionally launch karne mein. Aditya Khurana, ek artist manager hai, jabse usne Rey mein interest dikhaya hai, Rey badalne laga hai. Kal to tumne dekha hi kya hogaya tha. But even uske pehle, he just couldn’t see ki uska behavior completely change hua hai. Aditya Khurana ka puppet bann gaya hai vo.” Swayam narrated everything that happened during the time Taani was gone.
“Medium height, dusky skin tone, huge square glasses. Am I right?” Taani’s question shocked Swayam.
“Tum jaanti ho usse?”
“Nahi. Par kal jab main college aayi he was leaving. He seems trouble. Shayad wahi Rey ko aap sab se door karna chahte hai.”
“Even I am aware of the fact.”
“Jab aapko pata hai, toh why this huge fight? Why such accusations on Rey and Sharon? Out of everyone it should have been you who trusted them the most.”
“Taani mere aur Sharon ke baare mein tum kuch nahi jaanti.” Swayam replied sharply.
“Haan. Nahi jaanti kyunki aapne kabhi share karna jaroori hi nahi samjha. Par ek baat main bahut acche se jaan gayi hoon. That you both love each other and dono kal ki wajah se bahut zyada hurt ho.”
“Leave it Taani. Tumhe jo janana tha vo maine bata diya. I don't want to talk about Sharon right now. I am done with both of them. Sharon aur Rey ka chapter mere liye close ho gaya hai and I would suggest ki tum bhi iss sab se door raho.” Swayam replied and went to his room. Taani sat on the couch and held her head in frustration.
Sharon was upset as she had to face Taani. She wasn’t ready for all the questions Taani would have and if she was being honest to herself she would love to ignore Taani. Moreover, she was pissed at Rey for blurting things out in front of Swayam which might cost her, her relationship.
“Swayam se baat karu ya nahi? Kitna weak ho gayi hoon main iss pyaar ki wajah se, Swayam ki wajah se. Par, Swayam kya itna bura sochta hai mere baare mein. Aur Rey, usko kya jaroorat thi Swayam se jhagadne ki. And moreover, why did I share things with Rey, knowing it would upset Swayam. I should have talked to Swayam directly about him and Aashi. Oh God! Even Taani ko ab sab pata hai. How would she react? Before she left our equation wasn’t great and now after yesterday’s fight, things are about to get bad.” Sharon spiraled from one thought to another, her fears and insecurities getting the best of her.
“I think I should just avoid everyone and be on my own.” She further thought before leaving for college.
…
Rey was thinking about the fight and Taani’s sudden entry. He was feeling mixed emotions because of the prior day’s events.
“Swayam ko kaise face karunga main? Jab tak Swayam ko uss thappad ke liye sorry nahi bolunga, I won’t be at rest. Aur Sharon bhi bahut gussa hai mujhse. Par maine kuch galat to kaha nahi tha. Swayam and Sharon ne aaj tak mujhse har baat discuss ki hai, to iss baar Swayam ko itna kyun pinch kiya? Oh God! Sab kuch itna complicate ho gaya hai. I just need to focus on Adi and launching us. Ek baar launch ho jaaye, cheezein automatically sort ho jayengi. And how can I forget Taani! Aaj kuch bhi karke Taani se baat karni hi padegi. I don’t even know ki kitne dino ke liye vo yaha hai. I hope she has returned for good. And if she has, does that mean there’s a chance for us?” Rey left his house determined.
…
Swayam was in no hurry to leave for college. Yesterday’s fight, accusations and the whole Adi debacle had tired him out. The thing they were fighting for, Dance, seemed like such a distant dream when their friendship and relationship was on stake. He didn’t want to engage in any conversations, nor did he want to talk to anyone. He just wanted to go back to being a nobody. Because it meant that he would be left alone. He would get his own space. He had only one agenda today. To ignore everyone at college including Rey, Sharon and the gang and just be by himself.
“Bhai!” Taani’s voice stopped him. He closed his eyes in anger. He had completely forgotten about her return.
“Main bhi college hi aa rahi hoon. Should we go together?” Taani asked, nervous.
“Not today Taani. Please leave me alone.” Saying so he left, banging the door loudly. Taani huffed, irritated with Swayam’s aloofness.
Taani herself was nervous to attend the college. She remembered everything that had happened when she last joined the college. Rey, dance team, Shivam, mean comments, judgemental people, and whatnot. With every pleasant memory a bitter memory surfaced. Feeling miffed by her own negative thoughts, she kicked the couch.
“Oww! Oww oww oww!” Taani muttered, dancing around holding her one foot.
“Chalo, kuch to same hai. Bhale hi sab badal gaya hai, par main aur mera clumsiness kahi aur nahi jaa raha.” Taani said to herself before leaving.
Taani reached St.Louis. She could feel the buzzing environment of the college. A year and half ago, when she first stepped foot in St.Louis, she was filled with excitement, hope and happiness with no idea of what was about to come, how her life was going to change for better or for worse. St.Louis had left a huge impact on Taani’s life. It had taught Taani what her sheltered upbringing in Jodhpur could never do. It made her independent. It made her strong. It taught her that she could achieve anything she put her mind to. But it also broke her heart, pulled her down and showed how cruel the world could be. It gave her the first real taste of life. But despite all the mixed emotions, there was one emotion which she had felt a year ago and which she felt even now. Hope! Hope of changing her life, hope of making friends, hope of not repeating her mistakes, hope of learning new things, and hope of finally moving on. Taking a deep breath, she climbed the stairs and moved towards the atrium. She could see the students in groups, unaware of the surroundings, lost in themselves. She was about to move ahead but someone tapped on her shoulder. She turned around and was surprised to find Aashi, Simmi and Rinni.
“Mujhe laga hi tha ki tum ho.” Rinni commented.
“Hi!” Taani greeted, forcing a smile, not knowing how to react, their past equation making her conscious.
“Hi Taani! Sabne aapko bahut miss types kiya.” Aashi grinned and hugged her tight.
“Maine bhi aap sabko bahut miss kiya.” Taani hugged her back. After Taani pulled away, Rinni hugged her.
“Tum change ho gayi ho, Taani. Not much but you have.” Rinni commented, breaking the hug.
“Change is important, Rinni. I have learnt it the hard way.” Taani commented. Simmi and Taani looked at eachother. Both remembered when they had clashed during NDC. Taani felt awkward but forced a smile again. She avoided Simmi’s gaze biting her lips.
“Let’s start afresh?” Simmi asked, to Taani’s surprise. Taani nodded and forwarded her hand to shake. Simmi pushed her hand away and pulled her in for a hug.
“Itna formal hone ki bhi jaroorat nahi hai Taani. We've both made mistakes in the past, but now we have the chance to make things right.” Simmi said, feeling light after letting it out.
“Yeah! I agree.” Taani smiled, this time genuinely.
Taani interacted with Simmi, Rinni and Aashi and left for VP’s office.
…
“Kya? Taani is back?” Vicky exclaimed, shocked. The girls had informed the boys about Taani’s arrival.
“Vo wapas aagayi?” Nil pondered out loud.
“Pata nahi. Aisa kuch bola to nahi.” Aashi replied.
“Matlab?” Amar enquired.
“Yeah! She didn’t mention if she has returned or is merely visiting. Itna rokne ke baad bhi vo ruki nahi thi. Even during her farewell party she was lost. Usne decide kar liya tha ki vo nahi rukna chahti. And the way she had left mujhe nahi laga tha vo wapas aayegi but now that she has.. I have no clue.” Simmi answered.
“Abbe. Firse locha!” Bharat exclaimed.
“Don’t know guys. But she seemed different. We couldn’t pinpoint what it was but..” Rinni said, confused.
“Rinni, confusion mat badha.” Vicky said.
“No Vicky! Rinni is right. Taani seems to have changed but she is still the old Taani.”
“Ye kya bol lahe ho tum log?” Amar asked.
“Aapko aise nahi samajh aayega. Uske liye aapko unse milna types padega.” Aashi answered.
Vicky grew silent as the conversation proceeded.
“Vicky, kya soch raha hai itna dude?” Nil asked him, while others were engaged in a conversation about Taani.
“Main bas ye soch raha tha, abhi ke weird equation mein Taani kaha fit hogi?”
“You mean Rey..”
“I don’t want to talk about him, Nil.”
“Kab tak ignore karega? Usse and most importantly, apni feelings ko?”
“Nil please. Stay out of it. But you are right. Jab Rey, Swayam, Sharon and hum sab mein itne differences aagaye hai, I don't even know where and how she would fit.”
“Are you worried about Taani? That’s a first.”
“It’s not about that and even you know it. I just hope ki Taani ke waapas aane se problems badh naa jaaye.”
“Nahi hoga dude. Chill. And it’s Taani. You remember she is the sweetest amongst us all?”
“But shayad tu bhool raha hai ki jab Sharon v/s Taani chal raha tha NDC ke wakt to kya kya hua tha.”
…
Rey was pacing in the rehearsal hall waiting for Taani. He knew Taani would have reached college and she would try to avoid him but he had to try. Try till he succeeds. He heard footsteps outside the rehearsal hall and turned around, smiling widely in excitement. But his smile dimmed looking at the person.
“Kisi aur ko expect kar rahe the?” Aditya Khurana questioned, while entering.
“Adi! Vo actually..” Rey tried to find words.
“You know you can share anything with me.” Adi persuaded Rey to share. Rey was about to speak but Swayam’s words about Adi using him rang in his ears.
“Nahi Adi. Actually I was waiting for you. I want to launch Reyzors as soon as possible.”
“Woah! It’s a surprise. Okay. I’ll talk to the producers and we’ll launch it soon. Would you want to inform your team or should I?”
“It’s alright. I would. Accha hoga agar vo sab mujhse sune rather than you.”
“Cool. Works. I’ll get started on the preps. Did you and Sharon practice yesterday? Ab launch karna hai to you should be prepared.”
“Nahi Adi. Main solo perform karunga aur uske baad puri team ke saath ek performance.” Adi smirked, noticing his plan working.
“Okay. As you say Rey. You are the boss. I don’t need to remind you again as you are competent but naya routine aaj hi set karlo.” Rey nodded, Adi shook hands with Rey and left.
“Ek problem solve hogayi. Ab Taani se baat karni hai.”
…
Swayam was sitting on the terrace, trying to stay away from everyone. He was trying to forget and tune out the world but he was not able to. Sharon entered in search of Swayam and noticed Swayam sitting with his head in his hands and his back resting on the wall. She was about to walk away but decided to talk to him.
“Swayam..” Swayam looked up. Sharon noticed he looked tired. Without saying a word to her, he got up to leave but before he could Sharon held his wrist and pulled him back. Swayam was shocked. But instead of saying something he just stared blankly at Sharon. His silence was irritating Sharon. She was prepared to fight, to cajole him but his silence unnerved her.
“Kaha the tum puri raat?” Sharon whispered with teary eyes. Swayam remained silent which irked Sharon and all the pent up hurt and frustration poured out in anger.
“How dare you!" Sharon shouted.
"Huh?"
"Tum ab tak zinda ho?" Sharon asked, irritated with Swayam's ignorance.
"Ye kis type ka question hai?"
"Na mare, naa tumhara koi accident hua.” Sharon’s abrupt questions irked him.
“Dekho Sharon, theek se baat karni hai to baat karo warna mat karo.” Swayam's reply only agitated Sharon.
"Khud theek se hokar dusro ko stress kaise de sakte ho?"
"Chillao mat!"
"So? Iss tarah gayab hone ka kya excuse hai tumhara? Do you know, kitni tensed thi main? Puri raat tumhe call kar rahi thi, itne messages send kiye, tumhare ghar pe baar baar call karke puch rahi thi about you. Par tum.. Kitna dhunda maine tumhe. Par tum apne aap mein itna kho gaye the ki sab kuch bhool gaye." Sharon screamed at Swayam.
"Shayad tum bhool gayi ho ki kuch cheezein hai jo main khud akele handle karna chahta hoon." Swayam replied calmly. Swayam's calm attitude and his nonchalance angered Sharon more.
"To akele hi rehna tha. Mujhe commitment kyun di? Itne selfish kaise ho gaye ho Swayam?" Sharon gritted her teeth in anger. Both had lost themselves in anger.
"Selfish? Selfish main hoon ya Rey? Aagayi mujhe baat sunane. Usko kuch bola?" Swayam questioned.
"Rey ko beech mein mat lao."
"Ohhh! Kyun? Gussa kyun aagaya? Kisliye? Kyunki maine Rey ke against kuch kaha isliye? I am sorry. I am sorry Madam. I completely apologize." Swayam mocked.
"Next time kuch nahi bolunga. Jo vo kahega aankh band karke follow kardunga. Aaj iss gaal pe thappad maara hai next time ye bhi offer kardunga. Will that be fine?"
"Mujhe suna rahe ho?"
"Main kaun hota hoon sunane wala? Tum to sirf apne best friend ki sunogi. Main kaun hota hoon?" Swayam walked a few steps away from Sharon.
"Yeah right. Koi nahi ho tum kisike liye. Isiliye iss tarah se gayab hogaye bina kisiko kuch bataye." Sharon yelled walking towards Swayam.
"Chillao mat. Gussa sirf tumhe aur tumhare best friend ko nahi aata."
"Tumhe gussa hone ka haq nahi hai!"
"Woah! Kyun? Copyright sirf tumhare aur Rey ke paas hai? Waise tumne Rey ko bataya hai na ki tum abhi mere saath ho?"
"You know what? Rey was right. Tum trust karne ke laayak nahi ho. Galti ki maine tumpe trust karke. Jo naa kisiki baat sunna chahta hai naa samajhna chahta hai. Oh God! Kaise trust kar liya maine tumhe?"
"Exactly! Oh God! Kaise trust kar liya tumne? Jiske paas Reyansh Singhania jaisa best friend ho, jo relationship guidance dene mein maahir ho, usne ek weakling pe trust karke itni badi galti kaise kardi. How?"
"Taunt maarna band karo. Humne aapas mein baat karke things sort out karne ka promise kiya tha."
"Promise?" Swayam laughed, humourlessly.
"Promise yaad bhi hai tumhe? Agar promise yaad hai to tumne Rey ko hamare relationship ki problems ke baare mein kyun bataya? Public tamasha banake rakh diya meri feelings ka. Jaha bolna chahiye waha to bolti nahi ho. Waha chup rehti ho aur jaha chup rehna chahiye waha sab kuch bol deti ho. Ek stranger ne tumhe ek gaane pe tumhe sensuous routine karne ko kaha sirf isliye ki vo video zyada bikega to zyada fayda hoga and tumne chup chaap se maan liya. Na usse kuch kaha aur naa ek baar ye socha ki Swayam se baat kar loon. No."
"Main contract mein hoon goddammit!"
"Oh! Oh! Really? Contract, Sharon? Sharon Raiprakash, the diva, ek contract se, ek maamuli kaagaz se darr gayi?"
"Main confused thi. Aur mera partner koi stranger nahi tha. Rey tha. My best friend."
"You know Sharon, confuse to main hoon. Tumhari life mein meri aur meri feelings ki kya importance hai? Main tumhari life mein kuch hoon bhi ya nahi?" Sharon stared at Swayam, speechless.
"Kahi aisa to nahi na ki tumhe apne kud ke entertainment ke liye ek khilona or should I say ek toy boy chahiye tha to mujhse accha tumhare isharon pe kaun naachta? Kaun entertain karta tumhe? So please, please Ms.Raipraksh aap bata dijiye ki aapka mujhse mann bhar gaya hai ya fir kuch aur time tak entertain karna padega mujhe aapko? Please."
"You are sick!" Sharon left feeling hurt, humiliated and angry.
Kabhi hua yeh bhi, khali raahon pe bhi
Tu tha mere saath
Kabhi tujhe milke lauta mere dil yeh
Khali khali haath
Yeh bhi hua kabhi, jaise hua abhi
Tujhko sabhi mein pa liya
Tera mujhe kar jaati hai dooriyan
Satati hai dooriyan
Tarsati hai dooriyan
Fanna ho sabhi dooriyan
Kyun koi paas hai, door hai kyun koi
Jaane na, koi yahan pe
Aa raha paas ya door main jaa raha
Jaanu na main hoon kahan pe

Woah..... god damn. What a blast from the past haahha... ok I love Taani and Swayam fighting that was very much needed, we all have the habit of victimizing Taani but she was equally at fault at everything that happened with her. SHe could have spoken to someone and asked for help when needed instead of isolating herself and of course Swayam as a brother failed somewhere down the lane but they both needed to have it out in the open so they can grow stronger further in the story. Sharon's dilemma is absolutely on point because she has grown up with Rey and he has always been her confidante and changing her go-to nature for Swayam isn't and easy task so she is kinda stuck in quicksand. I love the girls interacting and I really wish they have a better relationship moving ahead. Rey kinda needs to get his head out of his ass and stop thinking about the launch and focus on everything that is going around him. So basically really hyped up for the next chapter keem em coming
