Yaariyaan

It’s been more than a month since Taani had left and Rey had become extremely focused on launching D3 professionally. Adi had very tactfully created a bridge between the gang and Rey. But even after his many attempts, their friendship was strong. Adi knew he had to do something extreme to separate Rey from the gang. And at the right moment, Sharon re-joined the college. She was made the lead female opposite Rey and Aashi was selected to be Swayam’s partner after Neha’s departure. Slowly, the gang was drifting away from Rey. After the poster release, Sharon and Swayam ended up fighting as Swayam became uncomfortable with the amount of wrong attention Rey and Sharon were receiving. For the first time, Swayam felt jealous of their bond. Moreover, he was irritated that Rey couldn’t see through Adi’s manipulation. To deceive Adi, Swayam had made an offer to sign a separate contract with him, which Adi very slyly used against Swayam to instigate Rey against him. Having just finished a conversation with Sharon, where she was broken and crying bitterly over Swayam and Aashi’s closeness, Rey ended up misunderstanding him. 

Rey had started trusting Adi. Rey believed Adi was right and the gang wasn’t serious about the launch and were jealous of his success. And the last straw of it was getting to know Swayam's demand for a separate contract. Swayam and Sharon resolve their issues by going on a date and ticking off one more wish from Swayam’s date wish list. It was night time. Rey and Sharon were in the rehearsal hall. Adi had instructed them to rehearse and left. Sharon was warming up when Rey decided to strike a conversation. 

“Sharon, you okay?” Rey enquired, noticing her lost in her thoughts. 

“Haan”

“Lag nahi raha hai.”

“Nahi. I am fine. Vo ye routine itna all of a sudden?”

“Sharon, main tumhara best friend hoon na?” Sharon nodded when Rey asked another question.

“To fir kyun nahi?”

“Kya, kyun nahi?” Sharon asked, confused.

“Mujhe kyun nahi bataya tumhare aur Swayam ke fight ke baare mein?”

“Kyunki ye meri aur Swayam ki baat hai. Tumhe usmein kyun drag karu?” 

“Kyun nahi? Aakhir jhagda to meri wajah se ho raha hai na. Swayam suddenly itna insecure ho gaya hai ki..” 

“Guys!” Adi interrupted Rey and entered with two people.

“Ye hai hamare team Rayzors ke leads, Rey and Sharon. Aur ye hai hamare director, Shahid and cameraman, Kamal.” Adi made the introductions.

“Maine kaha tha na hamare leads tumhare hosh uda denge.” Adi complimented. 

“Adi, inmein aura to hai. Par dekhna yeh hai ki ye dance mein kya kamaal dikhate hai.” Shahid said.

“Especially you, my boy. Tum pe kaafi nazrein hai. Bahut expectations” Shadid further stated pointing at Rey.

“I know this sir. Aur main kisiko let down nahi karunga.”

“So guys ek kaam karte hai ki uh why don’t you show them your newly set routine? Uske accordingly ye bhi apna video design kar lenge.” Adi suggested.

“Cool. Cool. Sure, Yeah!” Rey said and Sharon agreed with him. 

“So can I have the music?” Adi asked.

“Sir sir, music pe abhi ready nahi kiya hai. Counting pe kiya hai. So abhi hum counting pe dikha de?” Rey asked.

 “Yeah sure! Let’s go on.” Adi agreed.

“Yeah? Great. Let’s do it?” Rey asked Sharon.

“Yeah!” Sharon replied.

“Chalo, come on!” 

Rey and Sharon took their positions, while the other three were scattered around them. Rey started counting and Sharon and Rey started doing the steps on the counts. Adi, Shahid and Kamal were observing them keenly. 

“What do you think, Shahid?” Adi asked after they completed their dance.

“Adi, tumhe nahi lagta ye routine bahut dance dance hai?” Shahid asked, quoting dance dance.

“And jaha tak mera khayal hai, tumne mujhe kaha tha ki clients aur producer dono ek sensual item present karna chahte hai. To sensuality to dur dur tak nahi hai.” Shahid further stated. 

“I think he is right. Rey choreographer bhi hai. I don’t think it would be a problem. Rey, kya hum isko thoda change kar sakte hai?” 

“Yeah, yeah!”

“But Rey..” Sharon interrupted.

“Sharon, we can do that later, right?” Adi intervened. 

Shahid started instructing a step where Rey holds Sharon and modifying it a bit. Shahid guides him on how to bring sensuality into a basic step. Rey started following his instructions and moving accordingly, while Sharon started getting uncomfortable by the proximity. He kept following instructions monotonously and failed to notice Sharon’s discomfort. When Rey held Sharon by her waist and stood behind her, pressed his cheek to hers and started sliding his hand from her arm to her shoulder, Sharon intervened.

“But, I don’t feel comfortable.” Sharon stated her discomfort.

“Sharon, it's me. Relax.” Rey tried to assure her. 

“Okay. Just give us a minute.” Understanding her discomfort and hesitance, Rey excused them. Rey and Sharon walked out of the rehearsal hall and came out in the atrium. 

“Bolo Sharon, Kya problem hai?” Rey asked, miffed.

“Rey as a professional dancer, mujhe dance step se problem nahi hai. But I know ki sensuality daalkar hum dono to uncomfortable to honge hi aur hamare saath saath Swayam bhi. Because I know ki Aashi aur Swayam ko paas paas, saath dekhkar kaisa feel hua tha.” Sharon puts forward her point of view. 

“Sharon, hum dono best friends hai. Aashi and Swayam nahi. Aur tum acchese jaanti ho ki Aashi Swayam ke liye kya feel karti hai. To hamara unn dono ke saath comparison is wrong. And I am shocked ki Swayam hamare baare mein aisa soch bhi kaise sakta hai.” Rey said, irritated. 

“Rey, ye logic ki nahi emotion ki baat hai.” Sharon tried to make Rey understand.

“Main bhi emotion ki hi baat kar raha hoon Sharon. Swayam ka hum dono ke pairing se problem, kisi bhi reason ko justify nahi karta hai.”

“But Rey..”

“Guys, are you both ready?” Adi intervened again. 

“Yeah!” Rey mutters. 

“Fine. Let’s go. Rehearsal shuru karte hai?” Sharon said in a dismissive tone.

“Sure!” Rey replied back with the same attitude.

Rey and Sharon again start their rehearsal from where they had left off when Swayam reached there and noticed their position. Swayam noticed Adi smiling looking at the duo.

“Ye step to routine mein hai hi nahi!” Swayam said in confusion. Rey and Sharon turned back to notice him standing at the entrance.

“Haan. But ab hai.” Rey replied, with an attitude.

“Par change kab hua?”

“Excuse me? Tum interfere karne wale hote kaun ho?” Shahid questioned.

“Choreographer!” Swayam replied.

“Tum choreographer ho, Rey nahi?” Shahid asked in confusion. Swayam looked at Adi in confusion while Adi motions him to stay quiet.

“Rey, ye kab hua?” Swayam questioned Rey.

“Jab tu apni emotional insecurities ki wajah se kuch aur choreograph karne mein busy tha.” Rey taunted.

“Jo bolna hai directly bol. Mujhe samajh mein nahi aa raha hai tu kya bol raha hai.” 

“Par meri samajh mein sab kuch aagaya hai.”

“To samjha na mujhe.”

“Stop it guys. Sabke saamne aise immaturely ladh rahe ho. Aap teeno bahar jaiye aur tab tak mat aaiye jab tak main na bulau.” Adi said sternly. Rey started moving out.

“What? Apna ye force Rey pe chala sakte hai, Sharon ya mujhpe nahi. Humne aapke letters sign nahi kiye hai.” Swayam replied back. Adi laughed mockingly, while Sharon turned her back to Swayam. 

“Really. You think so?” Adi questioned, still smiling slyly. 

“One second. Aap bahar chaliye, main aapko bahar milta hoon.” Adi informed Shahid and Kamal. 

“Haan. To tum kya keh rahe the, Sharon ne letter sign nahi kiya hai right?” Adi questioned Swayam once Shahid and Kamal left.

“Yeah, right!” Swayam answered with confidence.

“Hold on. Sharon, tum bataogi, ya main batau?” Adi moved forward and stood beside Sharon. Sharon gave him a side glance.

“Agar Sharon ne contract sign nahi kiya hai to vo yaha chutti ke din kya kar rahi hai?” Adi questioned again. Sharon still had her back to Swayam, not able to face him.

“Ask her. Come on Swayam, Ask her. Looks like tumhe apna jawab mil gaya hai ki Sharon ne apna letter of consent sign kar diya hai. Sirf tumne sign nahi kiya hai aur sabne sign kar diya hai. Lagta hai ki sabne tumhe akela chod diya hai. Ab tum apne saare questions ko leke ladhte raho till then, I’ll be back.” Adi instigated further. 

“Rey, mujhe routine sensual chahiye.” He added more.

“Yes sir.” Rey replied while Swayam kept looking at Sharon in disbelief. Adi left knowing he had hit the bull’s eye. 

“Main vo letter ke baare mein batane wali thi par..” Sharon started but Swayam cut her off. 

“Par, bataya to nahi na. Mujhe laga ki humne.. humne vo letter sign nahi kiya hai.” Swayam smiled sadly while Sharon felt guilty.

“Hum? I am thinking, ki main ye word use kar sakta hoon ya nahi kyunki hum to exist hi nahi karta, sirf tum karta hai. Tum jo socho, jaisa socho wahi sahi. Aur main ek dumb idiot hoon jo jo sirf tumhare tumhare baat ko blindly follow karta hoon.” Swayam continued, getting hurt with the fact that Sharon hid such an important thing from him. 

“Swayam, aisa kuch nahi hai.” Sharon replied softly, holding onto Swayam’s arm.

“Please! Jhoot bolke college aayi, mujhe nahi bataya, choreography change ho rahi hai mujhe nahi bataya, contract letter sign kar rahi ho, mujhe nahi bataya.” Swayam vented out his hurt through his anger. Rey was watching it from a distance with folded hands.

“Main batane hi wali thi..” Sharon was about to explain but was interrupted.

“Kab? Routine ke baad?” Swayam accused.

“Swayam..” Rey intervened and walked towards the duo. 

“Sharon se theek se baat kar.” Rey pointed his finger at Swayam. His anger was visible from his body language and tone.

“Apni girlfriend se baat kar raha hoon main.” Swayam told Rey sharply.

“Meri best friend se baat kar raha hai.” Rey replied back with equal attitude.  

“Both of you please calm down.” Sharon tried to diffuse the tension between them. She then turned towards Swayam to calm him down.

“Swayam tum meri baat suno..” Sharon began softly.

“Nahi Sharon. Tumhe koi explanation dene ki jaroorat nahi hai.” Rey interrupted again.

“Please Rey, let me handle.” Sharon replied, irritated with Rey’s interference. 

“Ek minute.” Swayam stopped Sharon and turned towards Rey to confront him.

“Kya keh raha tha tu?” 

“Main ye bol raha hoon ki teri insecurities ne tujhe itna selfish bana diya hai ki tujhe right or wrong dikhai nahi deta hai.” Rey accused.

“Selfish? Main?”

“Haan. Tu selfish hai. Tujhe kya lagta hai mujhe nahi pata tere aur Sharon ke fight ke baare mein?” Swayam looked at Sharon with disbelief.

“Rey tum ye kya bol rahe ho?” Sharon muttered, upset with Rey.

Sharon please, tum kyun saari situation apne aap handle karna chahti ho? Just because he is your boyfriend does not mean ki ye galat nahi ho sakta. He is wrong and you know that.” Rey accused further. Swayam kept looking at Rey in shock.

“No Rey, he is not wrong.” Sharon defended Swayam.

“So, hamari fights ki discussion tumne Rey ke saath ki?” Swayam asked calmly. Sharon tried to talk but Rey interrupted again.

“Haan karli to kya karega tu? Tujhe ab hamare discussion se bhi problem hai? Har cheez se problem hai. Poster leak hone se, lead ke pairing se.” Sharon tried calming Rey down knowing he was getting hyper and the situation was going out of control. Rey gently moved her aside. 

“Okay, I see. Sab discussion ho chuki hai.” Swayam asked Sharon.

“Haan ho chuki hai. Aur kyun na ho? Vo meri best friend hai. Tujhse bahut pehle se jaanta hoon main usse.” Sharon again tried stopping Rey but her voice fell on deaf ears. He pushed her aside and kept accusing Swayam.

 Saari duniya jo bhi kahe tu to jaanta hai na meri aur uski dosti kaisi hai. Maine tum dono ko milane ke liye kya kuch nahi kiya aur tune kya kiya? Hamari dosti ka rang badal diya. Hamari dosti ke relation pe question uthaya.”

“Rey. Stop it Rey!” Sharon shouted.

“Nahi Sharon. Ab stop karke koi fayda nahi hai. Bahut pehle stop kar dena chahiye tha.” Swayam stopped Sharon. Sharon looked at him in worry while Rey in anger.

“But nahi. Meri feelings public banake bahut maza aaya tumhe Sharon. Abhi thodi der pehle promise kiya tha humne, kuch ghante nahi nibha paayi tum? Really?” Swayam shouted.

“Nahi. Tum mujhe galat samajh rahe ho. You are getting it all wrong.” 

“What wrong? Sabhi to wrong ho raha hai.” Rey came and stood between Swayam and Sharon.

“Ek galat insaan ko sab galat hi dikhai deta hai. Kya galat hai hum saath mein dance kare to? Kya galat hai hamari pairing mein?” Sharon held her head in despair and sat on the dice and started weeping feeling helpless. 

“Arre ek hi baat ki ratt lagaye baitha hai tu. Mujhe teri aur Sharon ki pairing se problem kyun hone lagi?” Swayam asked, frustrated with Rey’s behavior. 

“Main jo tujhe Aditya sir ke baare mein keh raha tha vo tujhe samajh mein nahi aaya. Unka sach dikhane ki koshish kar raha tha, vo samajh nahi aaya. Bhool gaya vo?” Swayam tried to make Rey understand about Aditya’s manipulation. 

Both Swayam and Rey had lost their calm and had a ton of misunderstandings to try and sort their shit out. All the built up hurt, frustration and anger was pouring out at a wrong time with wrong temperaments. 

“Adi ka sach? Ek insecure aur irresponsible aadmi kisi aur ka sach sikhayega?” 

“Haan sikhaunga. Kyunki, you have lost it, Rey. You have completely lost it. Media, glamour ye sab ke chaka-chaund mein tu apne aap ko kho chuka hai.” Syawam said, fed up with Rey’s blind trust on Adi. 

“Glamour ki chaka-chaund? Media huh? Arre mera aur Sharon ka poster to by default leak hua tha par tune kya kiya? Video bana diya. Tere aur Aashi ke video ko leak karke kya prove karna chahta hai? Mere aur Sharon ke relation ko bigaad ke kya prove karna chahta hai? Sharon ko emotionally hurt karke, usse rulake tujhe kya milega?” Swayam looked at Rey in incredulity while Sharon stood up from her position. Swayam walked towards Sharon and stood in front of her. 

“To rulate hoon main tumhe?” Swayam asked, hurt by the accusation. Sharon shook her head. 

“Wow! Aur bhi kuch hai to please abhi bol do. Rey se bolne se pehle mujhe bol do.”

“Nahi Swayam, tum aisa..” Sharon tried holding Swayam’s arms but he jerked her hands off. 

“Enough Sharon, enough. Har baat ka minute by minute update deti ho aur mujhe keh rahi ho ki main galat samajh raha hoon. Really?” Sharon didn’t know how to clear his misunderstanding.

“Tu isse kya blame kar raha hai? Tu khud trust karne ke laayak hai? Abhi ek minute pehle mujhe kaha ki tujhe mere aur Sharon ke saath hone se problem nahi hai.” 

“Please..” Sharon pleaded but Rey pushed her and continued with his rant.

“Par abhi tune ye prove kar diya ki tujhe hamare baat karne se bhi problem hai.”

“Calm down Rey!” Sharon held Rey’s shoulder in a firm grip.

“Haan. Haan, hain mujhe problem. Yahi sunna chahta hai na ki mujhe tere aur Sharon ko leke problem hai? Haan mujhe problem hai. Tere usse touch karne se, intimate dance se, poses se, har cheez se problem hai. Tu usse chuta hai, mujhe usse problem hai, poster se, intimate scenes se har cheez.. cheez se problem hai mujhe.” Swayam blasted at Rey, losing all his cool. Sharon fell on her knees, crying bitterly. 

“Yahi sunna chahta hai na tu? Tu tere aur Sharon ke pairing se cool ho sakta hai. Main nahi. Tu Aditya sir ki har baat maan sakta hai. Main nahi. And you know why? You know why? Kyunki main emotions samajhta hoon. Abhi bhi unki qadar karta hoon. Teri tarah nahi, apne ambition mein apne doston ko bhool gaya. Unka dil tootna, unke dreams tootna kuch dikhai nahi deta na tujhe?” Swayam continued venting out.

“Tu mujhe bol raha hai? Abbey teri dosti ke liye main Taani aur apne pyaar ko chodne ke liye ready ho gaya tha.”

“Oh please! Please, please please. Meri behen ko beech mein mat laana. Accha hua ki vo aaj tere saath nahi hai. You know why? Ki usse bhi dukh hota ke Aditya sir ka puppet bante hue dekhke. Tu apne aap ko kho chuka hai Rey. Mera friend kho chuka hai. Tu sirf Aditya sir ke isharon pe nachta hai. Rishte tere liye clauses bann chuke hai. Tu itna itna andha, itna heartless ho chuka hai ki agar kal ko Aditya Khurana publicity ke naam pe Sharon ke saath MMS karne bole to tu vo bhi kar lega.” Swayam had lost himself in his anger due to Sharon’s lack of trust, Rey’s changed behaviour and when Rey brought Taani into this it was a last straw for him. And for Rey, he was already angry with Swayam because of Adi’s manipulation, and it fuelled because of today’s fight. And when Swayam talked about Taani’s absence, the nail hit the coffin but before he could react to it, Swayam had already dropped another bomb in the form of MMS. 

“Swayam!” Rey bellowed, losing all his cool and slapped Swayam. 

The noise echoed in the now silent rehearsal hall. Swayam held his cheek, with his eyes tilted downward in shock, while Sharon looked up at the duo and stood up in bewilderment. Swayam slowly looked up at Rey while Rey kept looking at him in anger. 

“That’s it Rey. Ye sochta hai na tu mere baare mein. You know what? Thappad marna mujhe bhi aata hai. Lekin main tujhse gussa nahi, tujhpe taras aa raha hai mujhe. I pity you. Tu itna andha ho gaya hai ki tujhe poori duniya sirf apne point of view se dikhti hain rather tu dekh raha hai.” Swayam said with a heavy voice. Rey looked at his hand and closed his eyes in guilt for slapping Swayam. 

“Tumne Sharon, promise tod diya.” Sharon tried to hold his hand but Swayam backed off. 

“Please Swayam.” Sharon pleaded, for what she didn’t know. To listen to her, to forgive her, to let her be there for him or to just hug him tightly.

“Please Sharon. Relationship mein problems hoti hai par tumne public banake ye prove kar diya tumhare aur mere beech trust naam ki koi cheez hi nahi hai.” Swayam said, dejected.

“Swayam, meri baat suno..”

“Nahi. No point Sharon. No point. Thak gaya hoon main. Thak gaya hoon. Agar tum.. Actually tum ab kuch bhi kahogi na to ab koi farak nahi padega.”

“Swayam, maine Rey ko abhi nahi bataya. Bahut pehle baat hui thi.” Sharon finally kept forward her point.

“Hui thi na. Baat hui thi na? You know Sharon, itne dino se main bhi pareshan tha par maine kisiko kuch nahi kaha. Aur tumne ek hi raat mein sab kuch keh diya.”

“It’s not that.”

“And mere best friend ne itne easily, mujhe judge kar diya.”

“Sorry Rey. Tu vo Rey raha hi nahi jisse main jaanta hoon.” Swayam said, tired.

“Aur tu?” Rey asked in anger but before he could continue, Swayam showed him a hand to stop.

“Bas Rey. Aur nahi. No more. Bahut samjhane ki koshish ki maine but I lost.” Swayam sighed and turned to leave when he noticed a person standing at the entrance of the rehearsal hall with shocked face and teary eyes, rooted at the place.

“Taani!” He muttered. Rey and Sharon turned towards the door sharply. Swayam started leaving nonetheless.

“Kaha jaa raha hai Swayam? Poori baat finish karke jaa. Jo bolna hai direct bol.” Taani gave him a disappointed look and followed Swayam calling out for him. 

“Stop it Rey. Stop it. Swayam ko kabhi hum dono se problem nahi thi. Usse problem hai sirf Adi sir se. Usse lagta hai ki vo hum sabko manipulate kar rahe hai. Vo tumhe apne selfish motive ke liye use kar rahe hai.” Sharon said sharply.

“This is wrong. Galat hai ye.” Rey was adamant.

“Tumne jo kiya that was wrong. It was wrong.” Sharon screamed at Rey and started leaving when she slipped and fell down. Taani had returned after Swayam left, not stopping even after listening to her voice. She walked up to Sharon and gave a hand to help her. Sharon, who was already angry and frustrated, pushed her hand, got up and left. Taani got disbalanced but before she fell, she felt a familiar pair of arms wrapping around her. She looked up and noticed Rey’s bloodshot eyes. He made her stand straight and kept looking at her.

“Taani. Tum yaha?” Rey muttered softly, still not believing Taani was standing in front of him. 

“Thankyou.” Taani replied curtly. 

“Taani vo main..” Taani started leaving when Rey’s voice stopped her.

“At least tum to mujhe akela chodke mat jao.” Rey said in a hoarse voice.

“Aapko dekhke lagta nahi hai ki aapko abhi kisi aur ki jaroorat hai.” Taani’s sharp reply shocked Rey. 

“Aisa to mat kaho na Taani. I am sorry.”

“Aapko ye sorry kisi aur ko kehne ki zyada jaroorat hai.” 

“Maanta hoon Swayam pe haat uthake galti ki maine par usne kya kiya? Sharon ko humiliate kiya, kaha ki it is better ki tum mere saath nahi ho, and then he talked about that MMS. Itna galat sochta hai vo mere baare mein. Itna insecure bann gaya hai vo, itna selfish. Sharon ne bhi mujhe samajhne ki koshish nahi ki. Even she felt I was wrong.”

“Bass kijiye.”

“Taani, tum samajh nahi rahi ho. Listen to me.” 

“I have seen and heard enough for today.”

Taani was about to leave when Rey held her wrist.

“Please Taani..” Rey pleaded. 

“Not now, Rey. Leave me.” The finality in Taani’s voice forced Rey to leave her. 

Marz bhi hai deti

As mentioned, this fight that escalates between Rey, Swayam and Sharon, I have picked it up from the episode 503 (26th Aug).

So, Taani has returned at a very sensitive moment and has witnessed everything. Clearly, Sharon isn't comfortable and Taani is not interested in talking with Rey while Swayam has shut everyone out. What do you guys think would happen next?
