Salman Khan firing case: Sixth suspect arrested, alleged gang connection revealed

Salman Khan's Bandra residence was rattled last month by gunshots, garnering widespread attention. With five suspects already in custody, the Mumbai crime branch has now apprehended another individual linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in connection with the incident.

Identified as Harpal Singh from Fatehabad, Haryana, the suspect allegedly played a role in organizing a reconnaissance of the actor's residence. This arrest marks the sixth in the ongoing investigation.

Harpal Singh, a 37-year-old native of Fatehbad, Haryana, is accused of providing financial support to Mohammad Rafiq Chaudhary, another suspect previously apprehended. Additionally, Singh is alleged to have instructed the surveillance of Salman Khan's home.

Scheduled to appear before the special MCOCA court today, the accused's arrest follows the April 14 shooting outside Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Bandra. Amidst ongoing investigations, Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi have been implicated in the case, with Lawrence currently incarcerated in Gujarat.

In a surprising turn, Anuj Thapan, suspected of supplying weapons to the shooters, reportedly took his own life in police custody on May 1. Amidst these developments, reports suggest that the Bishnoi community may consider forgiving Salman Khan for his involvement in the blackbuck case if he issues a personal apology.
