He saw them enter hand in hand inside the beautifully decorated hall where Mr Mathur was celebrating his 25th Marriage Anniversary... People were getting to spend 25 years with the love of their lives whereas he... he couldn't even spend 25 months with his Prerna... his soul mate... So it burned his vision slightly when he saw her entering the party... wearing a deep purple strapless gown with a slit... what the hell. She did not look like his Prerna... She looked like a polished version of her former self..still beautiful but somehow more aware, more confident more poised, more graceful. As if she... as if SHE had the whole world wrapped around her ring finger. "Eelyn Tang" Nivi di whispered.... "Eelyn Tang"... Tapur whispered shrieked... "It has to be fake... there's no way that gold digger is getting her dresses designed by the renowned Singaporean Designer... And she designs only bridal wears... so of course it is fake" Mohini ranted... but Anurag could sense the lie in his mother's voice... as if she was consoling herself and her daughters... he dragged his eyes away from Prerna's face to her hand... entwined with the devil's incarnate... Mr Rishabh fu*king Bajaj.... dressed in a tuxedo looking as Demonic as Satan himself. They were being welcomed by the entire Mathur clan. Anurag waited... He waited for Prerna to feel the weight of his gaze on her.. he waited for her to scan across the hall and land her eyes upon his waiting ones..... but no... the moment did not come, Instead as soon as they were left alone.. Prerna began searching for something inside her purse... took out a napkin sorts of... maybe a face wipe.. and with a stern glare handed it to Mr Bajaj.. Who chuckled.. rolled his eyes and wiped away the lipstick mark That Mr Mathur's daughter, Ramona... whom his mother was trying to set him up with, had left on his cheek. He leaned towards her and whispered something in her ear and she blushed...A DEEP RED BLUSH that covered her cheeks and neck. Prerna murmured something under her breath and the devil threw his head back and howled with laughter and HIS Prerna looked at him as if he had hung the moon and the stars above.He announced to his family that he needed a drink.Later he saw them dancing to the classic song and with each note his heart bled a little.
