Pact with the Devil

Love,to some is ''a BIG misunderstanding between two IDIOTS!!!''

And some prefer to describe it as a ''feeling,which can only be felt by the one's who are lucky enough''

Love is indeed an ''an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired''

But for some unfortunates,it just remains a mere word in the dictionary...

...Or a feeling for which one can only crave for!

She fell in love with him,the day she left him...and that's what SPELLED HER DOOM!!!

Character sketch:-

Name-Maan Singh Khurana

Age-26

Occupation-MD of Khurana Constructions

The eldest son to Inderjeet and Vasundhara Khurana,Maan is a

man of principles and discipline.He is a strict follower of the rules

he had made for himself and makes sure they are followed by his

younger siblings as well.He doesn't believe in love or anything clos-

ely related to the word,but that doesn't mean he disrespects the

ones who believe in it.Relationships-other than blood ties-are just

business deals for him as he only believes in creating ''relations''

where he sees profit.He doesn't flinch from destroying people whom

he consider as threat or punish deceivers-a characteristic which makes

him feared rather than respected.

Name-Geet Singhania

Age-18

Occupation-Student

Born to a Rajput father and a Punjabi mother,

geet is the youngest child in her family.All her

life,she has been instiled with morals and ethics

thanks to her highly-traditional background.She

loves everyone in her family to death and and bel-

ieves in love and the institution of marriage more

than anything else.

Name-Dev Singh Khurana

Age-24

Occupation-CEO of Khurana Constructions

Somewhat a modified version of his elder brother,

Dev too likes to follow certain things in his life as

well.Although he's serious about the things he does

in his life,that does not make him like his brother as he

is the more preferred Khurana amongst the two.

Name-Vikrant Singh Khurana (vicky)

Age-21

Occupation-Student

Vikrant is the most adorable amongst the three

brothers.Even though he loves his elder brothers

a lot,but sometimes-just sometimes-doesn't feel

comfortable with their ways and ethics at business.

A harmless flirt by nature,he knows and uses every

trick in the book to impress the opposite sex.

Name-Arjun Singhania

Age-24

Occupation-MD,Singhania Industries

The elder child in the Singhania family,Arjun is an example of

a perfect family member-a dutiful son,a responsible businessperson

and a loving brother.He completely dotes on his little sister and come

what may,he stands for her every right-even if it means going against

his parents or any other member of the family.

Name-Anwesha Singh Khurana (Annie)

Age-18

Occupation-Student

Annie is the youngest Khurana off-

spring,loved and adored by one and

all.Her slightly bratty nature makes

her the ruling authority amongst the

Khurana children and unlike her brother(s)

is a hopeless romantic.

Prologue:-

She sat there like a a statue,occasionally closing her eyes for a while and then re-opening them.She hugged her knees as she looked outside the window.It was twilight and the now soft rays of the sun touched her face ever so gently.

She didn't knew since how long she was sitting at the broad edge of the window thinking about the events that had literally rocked her life as well as her very existence in the last three-and-a-half-months.She couldn't believe what a mess her life has become in this period.

She is here,hiding herself from everyone,being detached from everyone whom she once called her own-and all of this because of that one mistake.

Arohi has repeatedly tried to make her understand that it was not her fault-it's her fate which was to be blamed,but she never agreed or complied.May be because of the fact that right from her childhood,she has always been at the receiving end of the blame game.

She felt a tap on her shoulder which brought her back from the reverie,she turned her head slowly and saw Arohi holding a glass of milk with a smile.

''Before you object to my offering let me state you very clearly that in order to stay alive in this world,a human being must eat properly...which means you HAVE to drink this'' she didn't let her friend utter a word and placed it in front of her mouth.

She smiled at her friends ways and held the glass.

But as soon as the smell of the contents inside the glass reached her nostrils,she felt sick.She held her mouth and rushed to the loo leaving behind a baffled Arohi.

''I don't pay you to sit back at home and enjoy some goddamn program do you understand?'' He yelled.

''I don't care...either you guys find her within the next 48 hours,or else I'm gonna make sure that you all pay a heavy price for neglecting Maan Singh Khurana's order'' His voice scared the hell out of the poor caller on the other side.

''That's better...now move your asses and ge back to work ASAP'' he cut the call and gave an evil smile and said to himself ''now lets see how long can you hide from me''.

Chapter-1

On her 18th Birthday celebration

The day had finally come-it was her eighteenth birthday today!

She didn't know whether to be happy or not.For the first time in these eighteen years since her birth that her birthday was being celebrated with such a big party-she couldn't have asked for more.But at the same time she was getting nervous with every passing minute.She started getting nervous attacks as she heard the faint noises of the guests,now pouring in.

From the time she has gained her senses properly and started to understand the language her parents spoke,she has been hearing the same thing ''girls are supposed to be someone else's property,they are supposed to learn household chores properly as it is needed to serve their future in-laws'' etc etc.

Her mother Aarti,hailing from a royal Punjabi family of Chandigarh,was married when she was eighteen into an equally royal family-The Singhania's of Bikaner,Rajasthan.

She had two children-Arjun and Geet.

While Arjun was the elder,responsible son of the family,she was the younger beautiful daughter.

Geet has always loved and respected her family and kept their wishes beyond everything in her life...if only she have ever got even the quarter of the love back from her parents.

All her life she have read in a girl's convent school.But the only friend she had was Arohi,who was also her classmate.

Geet was never comfortable in some boy's company as she had only been comfortable with three men all her life-her grandfather,her father and her brother.

Her brother was someone whom she looked up to.And her friend chose to drool over.

Arohi exactly why this drama of a birthday celebration was being held...but she dare say her friend-it would only be like trying to push Mt Everest-she would never believe her.

Geet was fidgeting with the end of her saree-pallu out of nervousness and just then Arohi entered with a bang and then stood like a statue in the same position with her hands suspended mid-air.

Geet got up quickly and in the process knocked down the tool on which she was sitting.

''Not bad not bad...I'm sure someone will surely loose his heart to my friend tonight'' Arohi teased.

''Gosh...you scared me...is this a way to barge in someone's room?'' Geet said faking a frown.

''What...this is my room too'' Arohi announced ''at least I deserve a thank you...after all I wasted my precious words on a jhalli like you.''

''Thank you sweetie'' geet said in a baby voice pulling Arohi's cheeks.

''All right all right'' she said prying Geet's hands off ''your'e welcome''.

And then they both giggled and hugged each other.

''Happy birthday once again sweetie'' Arohi whispered.

''Thank you'' geet whispered back.

Just then a maidservant came and knocked at her door to which both the girls broke out of the hug.

''Babyji...Baresaahab is calling you downstairs''.

Precap-''Hi geet'' he gave a cute smile and extended his hand to which geet did a polite namaste,folding her hands.

Sooo...that was the first part...hope you all like it😊

Well more than being a compensation 4 ''Psyche'',this was a concept which was going on in my mind 4 quite some time...just hope you guys like my effort.
