The pain at letting him go..the fear that crept into her heart was too much to bear..she knew he hated her tears..but she couldn't stop them from flowing down in streams anyway..
The phone rang
Maan-Geet.. I forgot something..do me a favour?
Geet- ji boliye
Maan- go to my drawer, open it..what do you see?
Geet- hankeys
Maan smiled..waiting for her
Geet- maan..aap bhi na...
MAan- aansun ponch lo..your beautiful face isn't made for tears
Geet- And you of course are all dry-eyed..
Maan busied his hands..looking into his briefcase for something...a pause
Geet- Maan..?
Maan- hmmm
Geet- I love you
Maan- aah..she speaks..I love you too miss Hoshiyaarpur
Geet- apna khayal rakhiyega
Maan- tum ho na
Geet- hmph...main toh yahan hoon
Maan- aur wahin rehna chahti thi na? I offered ..we could have had a mini- vacation...
Geet's heart raced..No...not now..just a bit more wait...she needed to know...
Maan- bolo na Geet..
Geet- aap aayiye..shayad aapko aapka jawaab mil jaaye..tab tak ke liye..main chup rahoongi..
MAan- tumhari favourite hobby...to trouble me..isn't it?
Geet- of course..I LIVE for it..
MAan- Geet😡tumhari himmat toh day by day badhti jaa rahi hai...Main..
Geet- Maan Singh Khurana hoon..jaanti hoon..ab jaayiye..meeting attend kijiye..and get back to me..
MAan- why are you sending me away? itni jaldi kyun?
Geet-....kyunki...aap jitni jaldi jaayenge...utni hi jaldi aa bhi jayenge na..
Maan- hmmm....toh my bachha...i'm coming..before you know it...😉
Geet smiled and said bye
Maan- I expect a better welcome back than your bye..samjhi..
Geet blushed...knowing what he alluded to..
Rajji walked upto Geet..
Rajji- Didi..are you ok?
Geet- your jiju never lets me stay sad for long.
Rajji smiled a tearful smile..Geet of course noticed it
Geet- kya hua?Rajji?
Rajji just hugged her and burst out crying
Geet could only make out the words confused, friendship, Vicky, idiot, happy, sad, confused again and she just held as her kid sister cried her eyes out with the pangs of first love
An hour later, finally she was calm enough to talk
Geet- Rajji kya hua?
Rajji- didi..i don't know..i really don't..I think Im more possessive than I thought I was...because in such a short while, I have become attached to everyone here..I think I should control this..Its not good.
Vicky is happy and busy with Misha..why should I complain?
Anyway I'm busy with my studies..obviously..there's no time he can spend with me..I barely talk to anyone these days..but still I just cried..because of the feelings that crowded me..none of which I can fully recognize
Geet put a hand upto her cheek
Geet- give it time..waqt thik kar deta hai..you will understand :)
Rajji smiled sadly and decided to just wait it out and stay away from Vicky..
Vicky was confused..
He wanted..what?
What was it that he wanted?
Rajji didn't care..well..then..neither would he..but she looked so vulnerable..so alone..like him..no one she could go to..who would listen?
Misha..he liked Misha..really cared about her too..and so did she about him. But..there was a connection with Rajji that he couldn't deny or affirm..and that he didn't know how to deal with..
I'll let it pass..will follow her lead. LEt's see how long she takes to deny it..friendship is all I want..and I'll wait for her to come with that offer.
Rajji met him strolling outside the mansion..he looked at her, but was startled to see her eyes were swollen and red- that was all he could make out in the quick second she looked into his..but then she walked past him without a word..and he felt like enfolding her in his arms..whatever the reason..
shaking such feelings off his mind, he went back inside.
Maan was in the meeting..trying to concentrate..
maan- I really need to stop thinking of her..and concentrate on what I came here for..
HE was shuffling his papers and found Geet's note in a file
Utterly confused..but decided to resolutely ignore it for some time..
He signed where he was supposed to..and gave the orders for the project to commence.
and then he sat alone in the conference room and went through the file..
It was the design of a beach house..and a very beautiful one at that.
Maan sat imagining and his phone rang
he smiled
Maan- not bad my Hoshiyaarpur...
Geet-😡maan! sachhi mein tell me...what did you think?
Maan- geet...I think its good but a little unfeasible...to be honest..but its a great attempt
Geet smiled..
Geet- come back..and we'll make improvements okay? I wanted you to comment on it..show you that I am capable of making a design by myself
MAan- Geet..of course you are..I definitely saw that😃isliye itna wait karwaya..?
Geet- toh ab aajayie..who's stopped you?
MAan- ek aur meeting hai kal..and then I'll be back by tomorrow night..okay?
did you eat?
Geet- nope. I will now :) Rajji was upset..I was consoling her.
Maan- IS she okay now? Want me to talk to her?
Geet- it's okay I think :) she'll figure it out herself
bye now..I'll go eat..I'm suddenly famished
MAan- bye..Geet..I love you
Geet- I know bachha 😉
Maan sat thinking with a pensive expression on his face..
That's it..sorry for stopping short..my hands got cramped...😕 but hey..start thinking on some the things I brought out..tell me what you think of Vicky-Rajji? how will that proceed?
