This place where I am stuck feels like paradise.
It is like I am floating on the clouds
Geet stood silently questioning herself, why it should matter? Why he should matter? When he mentioned that "without Dadima there is nothing." it felt like he was reciprocating and recalling the words that were stuck in her just emergent memory.
She did not know why it mattered so much. But one glimpse of him was all she wanted to make her feel alive again. It was like those moments when she thought she would never see him ever again or see his face ever again were like a sentence in Hell.
The moment she saw him made her heart open out like a sunflower opens out to the sunshine. His one glance filled her heart with overpowering enchantment.
She was totally bewitched and entranced.
She felt like her world was in that instance when she felt his presence.
Where he was felt like paradise, where she basked in his presence felt like paradise. Everything around her filled with light and laughter.
Had she not seen him now, in all probability, her whole world would have collapsed. But one glimpse of him and it was like the sands of time stood still and that heaven opened its door and that the Gods beckoned.
- GEET
I come running to the end of Your street,
Tears are washing and washing my cheek..
Union with You -- what else can I seek?
My soul I surrender as Your name I repeat
- translation of Hazrat Nizamuddin Awlia's quatrain so aptly
fits Geet's running towards Maan
I search for him all the streets like a woman gone crazy
Wouldn't have mattered if people stoned me or pelted me
O jo sakoon mujhe chahiye
Unki ek nazar mei meiney paaliya
Galat they woh har raastey
jahan tu manzil na ho
Kar liya me nay phaisla
Agar jeeyen ya maren
tujh mein hi bas jayen
har jagah andhakar hain
jahan kahan tumey na paye
ab meri har gham
khushi mein badal gayi
lekin ek baat kehani thi
in saanson ko bhi tumhari hi zaroorat hai
nahi toh woh ruk ruk kar choot jayenge
tumharey vaastey
