This ff is very special to me and my heart. I have imagined their karva chauth like this.
It was around 10 pm when Tara stood in the balcony of her room, earnestly peering at her mehendi ridden hands. The moonlight falling on her palms made her mehendi appear divine. She kept staring at her palms with tint of shyness advent on her cheeks & her heart full of happiness.
She was happy because why not ? Tomorrow was her first karwa chauth & she was going to fast for her husband, Dhruv. She was engrossed in her thoughts when suddenly she heard a familiar voice.
Tara..........Dhruv called her out.
She turned her head as she saw him smile at her as he approached towards her.
Yahan kya kar rahi ho ?
Hum bas apni mehendi ko nihaar rahe hai Dr. Dhruv. Dekhiye kitna komal Swaroop hai. Humein toh bahut adbhut laga. Aap dekh kar bataaiye na aapko kaisa laga ? She urged him as she forwarded her hands towards him.
Dhruv took her palms in his hands and as he peered at them, he found his name proudly written on both her palms.
Sundar hai lekin tumse sundar nahi...... Dhruv retorted.
Tara blushed as her husband complimented her.
Kal karwa chauth hai Dr. Dhruv. Hamara pehla karwa chauth. Humein maa ne karwa chauth ke peeche ki kahani sunaayi thi. Kal, aaj aur hamesha hum ishwar se yahi prarthna karenge ki wo aapko dhirg aayu dey.....Tara opined as he embraced her in a back hug. This hug was long. They both kept looking at the moon until Dhruv backed away.
Mere saath aao......Dhruv told Tara holding her hand as they both advanced towards their room.
Tara saw a gift carefully wrapped in a glittering packing paper, placed on their bed.
Ye kya hai Dhruv ? Tara asked as she picked the gift up from their bed.
Kal karwa chauth hai naa. Humari shaadi ke baad ka pehla karwa chauth hai aur mein chahta hun ki ye bahut khaas aur yaadgaar bana. Isilie ye ek chota sa uphaar hai meri taraf se tumhaare liye........ - Dhruv
Iss ki kya avashyakta thi Dhruv ? Aapka saath aur prem hi hamare jeevan ka sabse bada uphaar hai.... - Tara
Dhruv smiled at her innocence. He asked her to open the gift.
They both sat on their bed as she started unwrapping the gift. Tara opened the box to find a beguiling red saree with beddable red bangles arrayed in it.
She took out the saree from the box and glanced at it with tears brimming her eyes.
This red saree evokes memories of the time when she first wore a saree given by nani on their fake wedding night. She wasn't married to him back then but that night made her trust him with her dignity.
Aaj tum maharani ji ko bahut yaad kar rahi hogi. Aaj agar wo yahan hoti toh apni beti ko uske pehle karwa chauth pe kya kuch nahi deti. Mein maharani ji ko toh yahan nahi laa sakta lekin agar ek uphaar tumhaare chehre par muskaan laata hai toh aise 100 uphaar nyochaavar hai tum par.
Mein maharani ji, Bhaiji aur maharaj ji ki kami toh puri nahi kar sakta lekin tumhe ek vachan deta hun ki tumhe mein khushiyon ki kami kabhi bhi nahi hone dunga........ Saif Dhruv as he placed tender kisses on her head & cheeks, intertwining his fingers with hers.
Kal jab tum ye Laal saree aur churiyan pehenogi tab ek baar meri dulhan lagogi.
Dhanyawaad Dr. Dhruv. Ye saree aur churiyan bahut khoobsoorat hai. She said placing her head on his chest, as he engulfed her in side hug.
What was her man made up of ? How Dhruv never failed to understand her silence and feelings without her being vocal about it always filled her with awe. It was the heart to heart & soul to soul connection. She once again realised how madly she was in love with him & how she'd do anything for him. He meant the sun, moon, stars, earth & universe to her. She could never thank her Kanha ji for giving her Dhruv.......she thought to herself as they both sat in each others embrace, finding comfort & peace in each others presence.
