Becoming a father for the first time was an emotional experience for Dhruv like everyone else. The special treatment he provided Tara throughout her pregnancy had made him even more calmer and matured as a father. A smile still forms in his face when he remembered her pregnancy days. She used to become cranky sometimes and certain smells especially the smell of her favorite “Sheetal pey” she once drank with her sud sud yantra used to make her nauseous. She used to feel lonely if he was late from hospital and he had to listen to whatever she had to say after returning back.
Small things like doing the baby's shopping together would make the mum-to-be and his day. He avoided all the food that Tara wasn't allowed to take during her pregnancy just to make her realize that no matter what he is always with her.
He was more frightened than Tara about the birth but he hid his fear & accompanied her during labour. He kissed her forehead as they entered in to the labour room assuring that he is here for her, to share all her pains and to welcome the most precious gift of their life-their kid.
He was literally in tears when Dr. Komal handed him Dhara - their baby girl after 30 minutes of continuous praying and waiting. First, he was so afraid of holding this tiny person, but within a moment all his fear was vanished and he held the baby close to his chest. For a moment he couldn't believe this is their baby, a token of their love. The love that broke all the barriers and stood strong truly samay sadi se pare.
He went near to her and she extended her hands. He could see the little droplets of tears which were shining in the corner of her eyes. He held her one hand and they both held their Dhara together. Thank You' was what he could utter. Both of them were in tears and he promised himself that he would be a perfect daddy and share the duties with Tara.
Tara and Dhruv realized it pretty soon after bringing Dhara' home that their life has been changed forever. They were mum and dad. The job of parenthood' seemed pretty much challenging to them. Every day they used to learn new things starting from changing nappies to preparing milk for the baby.
He used to make Tara comfortable when she nursed baby Dhara’. When she used to cry at the middle of the night Dhruv used to get up quickly to help out Tara with those 3.00 am feeding.
Dhara is now 3 months old and it was midnight when she started to cry. Dhruv got up quickly and took her in his arms.
Seems like my baby is hungry'- he uttered. Tara woke up by then and he handed her Dhara.'
Tara noticed that Dhruv was lost in his own thoughts while feeding. She patted the back of the baby and she soon fell asleep as her tummy was full.
She carefully kept her in the baby cot and went to Dhruv with slow steps.
Kya soch rahe hai Chikitsak Dr. Dhruv? Neend nahi aa rahi aapko ?
Wo samay ja chuka hai jab mein sirf tumhara chikitsak Doctor Dhruv hua karta tha. I will now be forever treated as Dhara’s Papa' understood Mommy dear?
He couldn't control his giggle and hugged her tight.
You know Tara tumne mujhe zindagi ka sabse khoobsurat uphaar diya hai humari choti Rajkumari dhara ke roop mein. - he uttered while brushing his fingers through her hair.
Aapko pata hai Doctor dhruv Kanha ji ne humein sab kuch diya hai. Aap jitne acche pati hai usse abhi jyada acche pita hai. Humein laga thaa him itni badi jimmedari kaise uthayenge lekin aapke prem aur saath ne sab kuch saral kar diya humare liye. - Tara said while being in his gentle embrace.
Tara broke the hug and went near to the cupboard. She brought a box wrapped in a beautiful teddy bear printed wrapping paper and gave it to Dhruv.

Dhruv was surprised as he was not expecting a gift at this time of the night. He opened it and found a coffee mug which reads I love you Papa.'
Ye humari aur Dhara ki taraf se ek chota sa tohfa hai Dhara ke papa ke liye taaki hum ye jata sake ki hum dono hi aapse kitna prem karte hai. Aap pura din vyavsat rehte hai aspataal mein aur ghar aane ke baad hamari sahayata karte hai Dhara ki dekhbhal mein. Humne dekha hai aap kayi baar apni subah ki coffe bhi peena bhul jaate hai toh socha aapke liye ye uphaar le aaye.
Dhruv giggled even more and hugged Tara once again. Thank you Tara Aur choti Rajkumari apne papa ke baarein mein itna sochne ke liye.' Ye mug mujhe meri life ke dono bacchon ki yaad dilaata rahega humesha.
Do bacche ? Tara asked.
Tum bhi toh bacchi hi ho tara. Ek dum baby face hi toh hai tumhara. Dhruv retorted while pulling her cheeks.
Tara started to playfully argue with Dhruv over his choti bacchi remarks which disturbed baby Dhara’s sleep and she started crying making her parents realize They are now Mommy and Papa '
