Baseer Ali grew up in Hyderabad and was brought up by his mother, Afshan Khan, as a single parent after his father left.
In 2017, Baseer was ranked the most desirable man in Hyderabad, surpassing some of the biggest names in the industry. He also earned a spot on the national Times Most Desirable Men list, placing higher than many established actors.
He is one of the few contestants in India who has consistently made it to the finals in nearly every major youth-based reality show he has participated in — including Splitsvilla 10, Roadies Rising, and Ace of Space 2.
Before fame found him through television, Baseer seriously considered a career in sports. He played basketball at the national level and was equally passionate about skating, swimming, and football during his school years.
Baseer’s earliest public presence wasn’t on television — it was on YouTube. He ran a channel called Habibiz, where he posted lifestyle content and connected with fans before his MTV debut.
Though widely recognized for reality shows, Baseer surprised many by joining the cast of Kundali Bhagya in 2023. He played the role of Shaurya Luthra, marking his first major step into acting on scripted television.
