First and foremost: A huge congratulations to you Maya on your achievement👏⭐️⭐️⭐️
Now on to the topic😕
The essence of ZKM that had us all enthralled left the building a LONG, LONG time ago. The show as it stands now, bears no resemblance to what it once was. The only constant is the incredible chemistry of our leads, which we are barely privy to nowadays, which adds insult to injury.
The concept of a wealthy, shrewd sophisticate falling for his complete opposite, is not a new one, but MehRya undertook it with such aplomb that we were all hooked. And then of course there was the modern-day twist of these polar opposites being online friends. Gosh, doesn't that bring back memories of the good old day? MS and KK friendship was the factor that kept us on our toes, knowing that no matter what was happening with them face to face, that there was this avenue that connected these two😳. One of our (my) first disappointments was when this special friendhsip fizzled into nothing..it was as if they had never made a connection at all. But we had hope...how many times did we think, okay now would be the time when they re-introduced the online chats...and time and time again we were let down.😭
And then it went completely downhill with reveal of SK being responsible for Mehek's parents' death and his descent to becoming an abusive husband in my eyes.
I couldn't believe that the same show, that had me lamenting over going on vacation and missing it for a week, instead of focusing on the time spent with my loved one, had become what it had...like many I felt so betrayed that I had vested so much time and effort😡 I had to walk away...
But the leap came, and with it the potential for a reset...I was game, and recommitted, but ST has lived up to his reputation, and since then we have been subjected to more torture upon torture... it is unbearable again with MehRya being perpetually apart, and now we have terrorist plots with violence being meted out on children and the elderly being thrown in for good measure🤢😡.
Except for the stories on this forum, the spirit of the ZKM that we all fell for is nowhere to be seen. It so tragic that a serial with such potential could be transformed so, just in the name of ratings...but what do I know😉. I just never thought I would be looking fondly back on the days when SK being a recipe thief was my biggest complaint😕
Anyway, sorry for the ramble...just needed to vent😆. Thanks for the thread that allowing me to Maya...and congrats again👏
