"Shauri..." A voice came across from the entrance door of the room as he looked up and only one word left his mouth.
" maaa..."
Shaurya stood up from mehek's side as Svetlana, shruti and his mother enterred inside.
" Dekho didi aapka honhaar beta kya kar rha hai" Svetlana said in disgust.
" I never thought that your taste will be so cheap and middle class" shruti snickered in jealousy.
Shaurya was about to retort when he heard a sneeze. Turning around he found mehek cocooning herself due to cold and thus indifferent to the 3 pairs of eyes on him, pulled a duvet out from his closet and covered her with it.
All three in the room looked with awe at the care he was showering sleeping mehek with.
" dekha didi...in dono ke beech kuch toh chal raha hai"
" shauri ye sab kya hai" his mother asked neutrally because being a woman of intelligence, arriving at conclusion without hearing from all sides would be a dumb decision to make.
" Nothing maa, we won the contract for catering at rajneesh mehra's daughter's marriage thus all chefs were celebrating and she got drunk by mistake, I had to handle her and I brought her here by mistake and then you know what happened, she ran in and sabbotaged my room, got herself wet and so I had to lend her my shirt and then she fell asleep due to alcohol". He finished looking at mehek sleeping like a baby and thus a soft smile found its way to his twisted face. Karuna was in awe with Shaurya 's weird behaviour, Svetlana snorted and shruti left in anger.
3 hours later at 5 PM
She woke up with a terrible headache and leaned her head against the headboard only to have goosebumps across her neck when a warm breath fanned her neck. Tilting her head to the side, she found SHAURYA KHANNA SLEEPING in a weird and uncomfortable position, while being seated by her side.
" why is Shaurya sleeping like that?

Shaurya~~~~~~" she shouted as she literally jumped off the bed.
She bit her tongue for shouting and checked to see if he was disturbed or not. He did wriggle a little but other than that he was very much out.
Sighing in relief, she looked around to find that it was his room indeed.
Feeling a little bit dizzy she sat at the corner of bed but suddenly felt a shiver due to cold air hitting against her legs. Looking down she found her legs to be bare and then noticed that she was wearing a shirt only.
" kyaaa..." She shouted in surprise as Shaurya finally woke up from his slumber. Rubbing his eyes, he found her standing with her back against him and called her.
" mehek"
When she turned around, her eyes were big as saucers and lines of worry were etched across her face as she was trying to stretch the shirt to cover her legs in vain.
His eyes widened as he quickly got up and reached her in an instant.
" trust me mehek...I did nothing wrong with you...What happened in Agra was my stubbornness but I will never ever dream of hurting y..." his incessant rambling came to a stop as a soft finger was kept against his lips.
" shhh...kitna bolte ho khadoos Kumar " she shushed him and then taking his hands in hers continued " Forget about the past, I forgave you long ago and what is with the explanations...huh?".
" but..."
" zip up...let me speak, I TRUST YOU, I know that you won't do any harm to any women in this world, good or bad so don't fret and tell exactly what soup I landed in this time around " she laughed.
He relaxed as his shoulders let loose and taking her hands he made her sit on the bed.
" You don't know that what exactly you have done?" he replied shaking his head.
" what did I do?" She asked meekly.
" You got drunk at the restaurant and jumped on me like a lioness in front of all" he laughed looking at her.
" whatt..." She shouted in disbelief as he continued " After that I bought you here because your family would have killed me for sure seeing you in this state, clinging to me".
" Shauryaa..." She stammered as he butted in.
" keep quiet lady...after that you jumped on my bed like a maniac saying that I am a softy just like this mattress " he winked at her.
She blushed as her head bowed down.
" liar" she muttered.
" I am not lying...then I had to handle you and you broke my heart" he announced with hurt evident in his voice.
" what did I say?" She asked a bit shaken.
" you said that you hate me and will never forgive me, that a cheap man like me ain't even worth you friendship..."
" Impossible" she cut in as she stood up.
" main aisa keh hi nhi sakti"
" but Tumne ye sab kah..."
"Nahi, there is no way in hell that I would have said that I hate you" she retorted annoyed.
" you think I am lying" he retorted angrily.
" yes you are...I can never hate you"
" but you said that"
" I didn't "
" May be your inner malice bound by restrictions of respect and admiration for me was left free under influence of alcohol and..."
" I don't bear any malice against you...damnit" she shouted frustrated.
" So you are saying that I am lying" he shouted back.
" yes...yes...you are I can never say that I hate you".
" why can you never say that I hate you"
" How can I hate you when I love you god damn it" she shouted back frustrated, annoyed and irritated.
He smirked.
The sudden silence and the smirk on his lips made her think that exactly what had she shouted.
' I love you God...'
" holy cow" mehek muttered in disbelief as she put a hand on her mouth.
" what did you say?" He prodded cheekily coming closer as she stepped back.
" nothing" she answered looked everywhere but at him.
" nope...you said that you.."
" I didn't say a thing"
" that you..." he continued as her back struck the wall and he caged her.
" move Shaurya... Koi AA jayega"
" aane do" he replied indifferent.
" you said that you love me" he smiled.
" as friends " she retorted skillfully.
" as friends" he repeated raising his brows.
" haan...I love all my friends that's why I said that I can never hate a friend" she finished.
" you want me to believe it" he whispered coming closer.
" this is the truth" she replied stammering getting dizzy at his proximity.
" I don't believe it" he replied huskily taking her chin making her stare into his eyes.
" Believe it then" she replied meekily loosing her senses in his deep eyes.
He started dipping down his head and as his lips were mere mm away from hers, a cough made them back to reality.
" ahmmm...ahhmmm" karuna acted like coughing trying to hide her smile as Shaurya quickly moved away from mehek.
" maa...aap...vo...main...hum..." He stammered.
" I will come later...you continue" she replied controlling her laughter.
" Nhi aunty" mehek shouted glaring at Shaurya.
" mehek beta...you sure...you don't want me to leave...I mean it looked like you two were...you know" she replied meaningfully as her hands did that embarrassed gesture ( jab hum apne dono haathon SE vo gesture karte hain na...chumme wala).
Mehek blushed and Shaurya ruffled his hair in embarrassment.
" uhmm...maa what's in your hands" he tried to divert the topic.
" haan...I bought clothes for mehek, we can't send her back in your shirt now, can we?" She replied smiling.
" I am going out" he replied trying to survive further embarrassment and left.
Karuna also left as mehek enterred the bathroom.
She was given a saree, something she never wore.
" siyappa hai ye toh" she murmured trying to wrap it around herself but in vain.
" mehek...all OK" a husky voice called from outside.
" nhi...I mean haan" she replied trying to wrap the saree again.
20 minutes later there was no improvement as she stood in the blouse with few loose folds of saree around her lower waist.
" kya hua...why are you taking so much time" he shouted irritated.
" shut up...what will you understand huh...you don't have to wear sarees" she shouted annoyed.
" you don't know how to wear a saree" he laughed from outside.
" tumhe toh badi aati hai jaise " she retorted.
" pehn ni toh nhi par pehnani zaroor aati hai" he replied cheekily.
" Hawww...kitni ldkiyon ki saree bandhi hai" she shouted huffing and puffing.
He was laughing hard outside as he could already guess her cute expressions.
" zyaada ki nhi bas 2 ki"
No reply came from her side as he leaned against the bath door.
" meri dono maa ki" he finished sighing.
" Shaurya...I am so sorry " she replied hitting herself for being jealous of his mothers.
' Jealous'
' ye kahan SE aaya'.
" You can be the third girl if you want Ms sharma" he said in a playful voice.
" Thanks but no thanx Mr.khanna, you just relay the instructions "
" okk" he replied laughing as he instructed her and after 5 minutes she came outside looking absolutely serene in pink chiffon saree.
He could not tear his gaze away as his eyes were wondering at all the wrong places like her bare belly.
" chalein" she announced meekly with her eyes lowered aware of his gaze on her.
" yup" he replied as both left the room and started descending the stairs.
While descending, his eyes were on her only...her big doe eyes, her chubby cheeks, her pink luscious lips.
She could feel his eyes on her as she turned towards him.
Their eyes got locked and thus she missed a step and would have gotten her teeth in tatters, had it not been for Shaurya who quickly balanced her.
Clutching onto his coat with her eyes closed, she looked even more delectable.
Shruti and Svetlana saw this from the hall.
Svetlana could not leave such a golden chance to tease his daughter in law.
" quite impressive huh...chutni wali girne SE pehle Shaurya ki baahon mein samaa jaati hai...hamesha" she snickered as shruti made a fed up face.
Finally making her stand and taking her hand in his they left for her house.
