Your analogy is 😆 but I'm glad you feel that way.

Bure qualities - Uru ne bhi mention kiya hai aqua, especially how it is shown and dealt with in the show. It is harder to call out the bad qualities of an introspective character like Abir. It needs to be understood based on actions smiley1. Discussions of flaws alone cannot happen, you can only discuss the character as a whole. It's automatic. I've already mentioned why the flaw you mentioned in particular was not getting any traction. People can only discuss flaws if they consider it a flaw. Nandu, Pali and others also tried to address this.

So, not really trying to change your mind, but explain my point of view. I was also pointing it out since you said Abir doesn't see things from others' point of view, that people usually don't 😊 and Abir is better at it than most.

Actually, I like this show because Meenu is not an out and out villain. There are so many times she has me feeling for her. It must be the fabulous acting of Rupal ma'am and Shaheer. I just think her thinking is wrong, and you think Abir's thinking is wrong. We can continue to think our way, I just like explaining the reasoning (on both sides) since it clears things up for me. I actually want to go through the whole show from Meenu's perspective just to try and get into her head. Let's see if I find the time.

Again, it's just a matter of how we view things - Meenu thinks she knows what is right for everyone and everything would be best if people just followed what she says and Abir thinks people should do what is right for them and is willing to fight to get them the freedom to do that (this is hard, and a little thankless). I sympathize more with Abir because I think people should be allowed to make their own choices (and mistakes). Anything in overdose is poison, and sometimes in his zeal, he doesn't realize that some people may not want that freedom.

I'm sure there are people who sympathize more with Meenu and that's ok too. You choose to (I'm presuming here) focus on how Abir is not listening to Meenu and hurting her, and I choose to focus on all Meenu does to make Abir toe her line and thus hurting him. Neither is wrong.

Entitlement - in what sense is it mentioned here? Maybe some context would help. Is it in the sense he has the security of a home? He grew up comfortably? Rich? Family was always there for back up? All of this? Because he's a guy? Having the freedom to leave the house whenever he feels like? I would love to know more, and promise not to take offense 😆.

Re Parul-Kunal - yes Parul would have been happy with Kunal accepting her. I meant more for everyone around to realize she was not a servant. Kunal already knew and that didn't stop anyone from blaming her for the pills. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Yes, he put it in Kunal's head, but he didn't make Kunal speak. I understand he influenced Kunal, and I agree. However, I still think Kunal is an adult and made his decision. I also like that Kunal is dealing with the aftermath of his decision, and so far, balancing without offending either of them.

Agree, it's kind of the curse of the eldest kid, more so in a joint family. They shouldn't put so much pressure on him, but they do. Some of the pressure he takes on himself but that's because he wants everyone to be happy. See, once again, just a different way of seeing things - you think he acts that way because he likes the praise and I think he does because he wants others to be happy. 😆

I know it can be overwhelming to reply to everything everyone says, but discussions continue when you respond, so pick and choose from comments, but do respond 😊.

Ooooofff!! This is going to sound ironic after what you wrote in the last line but I have decided to take a break from the forum and go back into my shell again because life. You might not know this but my mental health has been in the dumps and getting sucked into fanwars is something that messes it up even more. The plan was never to indulge into a back and forth until and unless there were really interesting replies but what I had not realised while posting was how much it would trigger the masses. Title? Sure! That was supposed to be bait because my usual simple, sundar, susheel titles weren't getting any replies or even views. But what I had not realised in my half sleep daze was what hole I was digging myself into when I decided to not proofread the post, which I usually do two to three times so as to make sure it isn't controversial. Big mistake! Never doing this ever again.

FYI: still half asleep but hopefully in control of my emotions so I'll make this post my last exception to the above rule because ek galat thread ke liye maine khud ko maaf karna decide kiya hai.

Coming to why I didn't reply to the other posts is because of how they were framed. I appreciate the effort they put in those posts to patronise me and my opinions and hiding their frustrations behind their polite words but I would rather reply to people who or rather when they actually care for discussion and can respect my opinions as well. And if you don't see it, that's okay. If the authors don't see it, they really should because the way they are writing needs to be changed.

Regarding Abir and his entitlement and his relationship with Meenu, I would like to suggest a 3page thread which was the equivalent of unpopular opinion and blowing up of my brain from thoughts when I was a newly active member on the forum: (Same warning as in the last reply applies here too) https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/topic/5143094

See ya on the AT whenever you pop in. That's enough interaction for me on the forum. Remember people: Aapke mansik santulan ki zimmedaari aapki apni hai! And that should always be your 1st priority. Ok bye!

daya.... wow dear... what an amazing posts and the words u use to describe ur views is awesome.... im just in awe to read all those... mind blowing...

after many answered many questions, i would like to post some thing...

so according to TM, abir should trust family when everyone says mehul is not good for him or for family and his obesession or stubborness spoiled everything... so for me if a kid raised with their both parents for some years (as we sen 4-5 years) will remember them and miss them... as a child we remember good things more than bad, but in abir case baba who always said good things only,so believing him and attached to him is normal, even i agree with abir's fight with family because he knows his mother can control anyone including parul and naanu too... best example is kunal and mishti rishta... so he cant trust RJV and it happened because naanu lied warna situations are differed...

its really out of context but i would like put it here, when mishti is with SINGHANIA"S and her parents abonded by family she stayed with others than her parents but when she felt alone and being neglected she called her parents and cried, said to them that she is was missing them... so in my view humare parents kitne bhi ache ya bure we miss them and we starve for them, esply when u think ur parents are right and others can be wrong... so abir has right to against his family decision and asking questions...

even in early epi of our show we seen mishti carving for naman, because she left hopes on SINGHANIA's and her mother, as she knows her mother will never come back because she has choosen her new husband and that life but she really dont know why her father left her and why everyone want to protect her from naman...

so when mishti seen her father blackmailing her BM who means world to mishti she doubted her father because of BM and BP love for her and then GD of mishnal where our meenu madam put her life secret infront of her , where naman is muderer of his family member, but mishti never questioned BP-BM as she understood the reason why all are protective of her... here BP-BM made that trust to mishti so for mishti it became easy to accept truth and decision of BP-BM and everyone...

but same doesnt go with abir as he knows meenu's manipulations and her influence of family... again naanu and parul comes to picture but naanu cant go against meenu is a known fact to abir and even naanu clearly said i will feel bad that u will search for ur father but i wont stop u with kasam and all and asked meenu to give address but naanu dont know meenu's actual intention giving it to abir...

abir can trust parul but he knows parul cant go against meenu as it is clear to him in kuku wedding day... so parul ko seriously nahi lega...

coming to meenu saying ,he is bad so i kept him away and all the words after that, i just want to ask 1 question, meenu has her men always behind mehul but why cant she never knew mehul is in rajkot on mishnal GD, kuku GD. kuku shaadi and if i remember on ketki's wedding too...

mehul went to mumbai from rajkot and him being in hospital is trap for meenu as mehul and other person(jagat bhai) convo on dasara... so meenu failed in keeping mehul away from abir, mehul trapped abir in mumbai only on visarjan day but he called abir when they are in rajkot, from where mehul got abir number if meenu claims that she kept mehul away and he is bad person...

so finally i want to say, we crave for our parents even if they are good or bad, we still go against everyone who showered their love as we believe parents can never leave their children what ever may be the circumstances... but if parents like mehul and naman are in society who use their children for money making then children should know the truth at one point or the other... because everyone are not same, some needs answers for their questions...

coming abir leaving middle in every discussions... my take is, he will stay in a convo when the other person listens and not prove their point, even if its meenu or mishti...

he dont want it to be a debate and proving I AM RIGHT, he just want meenu or mishti to listen to him and he even want them to agree with him , if not completely but partially (which actually some times both mishti and meenu are right in some cases)

the best example for partially listening to him is kuhu and abir convo when abir knows about pills fisaco and convo in courtyard of RJV where kuhu partially agrees and does what abir said, even kunal allows abir to leave mishti in resort but when time comes he says what he want to say and explains his fault... (here also kunal first agreed with abir and then made him listen to him)

so abir listens and understands when convo's wont convert into debate and many times we will leave convo's in middle when we dont want to extend it and say mean words to others if convo's extend..

kuch jyada hi likh diya... i dont know even i made sense or not...
