Maybe the message for this generation is that young love is stupid, and no matter how intense or pure it is, it doesn't work in indian joint families. It's better to do arranged marriage like the OG Akshara and Naitik did and that is a better relationship. Ak-Nav relation does give OG rishta vibes, and Abhi-Arohi were more suited to each other from the beginning. Maybe on this basis, the next-gen will be given advice to go the arranged marriage route instead of love.

Also to look out for the red flags before marriage...somebody who is so obsessed on getting married after a few meetings can't have a normal.personality ..after claiming love , move on so easily n decide to marry the sister..then break up and again flip..again almost break up before the marriage due to some misunderstanding ..

Joint family is not the problem but a family like birlas is. Frm the beginning they had this entitled attitude , looked down upon everyone , never approved of akshu from their heart , never valued her as a member of the family, always blame her for everything that goes wrong and protect their own ..there wasn't any balance from Day 1.

Yeah, I agree, but I also feel like Ak should have voiced her opinions from the beginning. She didn't want to marry Abhi, no problem, but why was she so supportive of Abhi-Arohi stuff? She should have told abhi to just leave her entire family alone.

As for the birlas, the goenkas weren't much better during naira's time, infact I think they were worse in some ways. And in a way that is pretty common in itv when you have a love marriage, cause the family hasn't decided on the bride.

I think a good plotline would be to continue having Navshu be a couple and then have Ak die off in a few years and Nav raise Abhir and their legacy daughter. I really don't see Ak or Abhi be good parents. Nav's children can then have healthy relationships and focus on arranged marriage again like the first gen did.

There is something called "working out through the problems" which never happened between abhira ..no effort from either side , they just give up on each other easily after the tall promises. Is this immaturity or stupid writing? If they were a single unit , they could have worked out the family and mummy issues as well.

If akshu said no to his proposal he cud have waited , convinced his mother , try to get through akshu and keep trying but not agree to marry arohi. Arohi shouldn't have dreamt of a guy who is eyeing her sister...akshu should have followed her heart but she was always a weak character....everyone leads her on and she blindly follows..apna dimag uska rent par hota hai hamesha

Yeah, I guess working through the problems doesn't generate TRP. Abhi has always been incredibly impatient as well. If he understands that Ak loves him, why not wait for things to calm down and then ask her again? I don't have much of an issue with the beginning though cause they didn't know each other super well, but after all of that, they should have had some smaller issues to deal with for at least 6-7 months, before initiating a huge separation. So I do blame the writers for this.
