June 22nd, 2006 -- Kushan and Annie join in

Poojaji, this is not proper manners.. someone who is instrumental in saving your life does not deserve this. I guess someone should give Pooja a tight slap and make her realise that how Ronit is at the moment and how much he feels for her 😔. Akash is at home writing in his diary when his mom asks about Pooja again. Akash says that he has not been able to talk to Pooja yet. He knows he is lying but does not want to break his mom's heart. The doorbell rings and Ronit comes to his house.

He tells Akash that Pooja keeps on misunderstanding him and he is feeling bad about the whole thing. He doesn't understand why she is not willing to see how much he loves her. Ronit says that he cannot stay with such feelings and feels miserable. Akash agrees that Ronit has changed for good and sees the love in his eyes. He promises Ronit that he will make sure that Pooja will be his. No matter what he has to do for that, he promises him. And you know what? Guess who is at the door when Akash is saying this.. Apni Pooji 😛. Pooja listens to this and has a hint of tears in her eyes.

God knows what she is thinking - but we can hope that this time she is not misunderstanding anything. Well, it would be good if Pooja understands Ronit fast. Anyways, what is Pooja thinking now? Any guesses?

Akash-Pooja friends and so are Kushan-Mandy

Pooja is surprised to see Rasikbhai back. Rasikbhai is happy seeing Pooja. Sudhaben tells him that Akash and Ronit have been invited for dinner tonight. Rasikbhai is glad to know that and praises both of them for the efforts they put in when Pooja was not well. Mandy is upset about what has happened between Pooja and her. She thinks that Pooja should call her to say sorry and why does she have to go everytime and say sorry first to Pooja. Dosti mein choti-si darar😛

Kushan calls up Mandy's place and wants to talk to her mom. Mandy picks up the phone and is surprised to hear Kushan on the other end. Kushan tells her that he wants to change his behaviour. He makes up a story and says that his father has expired and he has realised that all that he did earlier was not very correct. He wants to change and asks for support from Mandy. Mandy is not sure but she cannot say no somehow and accepts Kushan's invitation of going out to a restaurant to have a cup of coffee with him.

Sudhaben calls up Ronit on his cellphone and asks him about the time they are coming home for dinner. Ronit is surprised as he does not know anything about this. He passes the phone to Akash and he speaks with Sudhaben. She asks him 'When are you both coming home for dinner'? Akash refuses and says that today they have some urgent work and cannot come. Akash's mom hears this and asks Akash to go - Akash agrees and tells Sudhaben that he and Ronit will soon be there. They both go to Pooja's house. Ronit gives a bouquet to Poornima and congratulates her. Pooja and Ronit aankh bhi theek se nahin mila rahey thay. Sudhaben asks them to have food and then they can relax and talk.

At the restaurant, Kushan thanks Mandy and says that he is happy that she trusted him. Mandy refuses and says that it'll take time for her to change her views about him and trust him because of his past. Kushan plays dirty and acts as if he really wants to change and has already changed somewhat. Sample this, he orders cow's milk at the restuarant. He eventually succeeds in making Mandy believe him with his stupid stories. Aur apni Mandy kaisi hai aap sab jaantey hai - she is so bholi usey toh koi bhi kuch bhi keh sakta hai aur woh maan leti hai. BTW, the less said about Kushan's eyes, the better.😆😆😆

At Pooja's home, Akash, Ronit and Rasikbhai sit for dinner. Again, no one is speaking. Sudhaben asks them if they didn't like the food - Akash says it is good while Ronit says it is not good, it is very good. And he is having Gujarati Thali for the first time. Rasikbhai thanks both of them again and tells them that because of them he has started to trust humanity again. Touching 😊. He asks Pooja and Poornima to join in. Pooja is almost forced to sit besides Ronit to have food. After having dinner, Akash and Ronit leave from there.

On her parents say, Pooja goes to drop Akash and Ronit. Ronit moves ahead and says that he will get the car. Pooja asks Akash about his mom to which he replies 'She is fine'. Pooja asks Akash to say something - Akash says 'Pooja has already told him so much that he has nothing to say now'. He tells Pooja that she may be right in what she said, but even he was right in what he told her. Akash tells her that he has always wished good for her. Pooja apologises saying that she might have over reacted. She tells Akash that Ronit has done really bad for her. Akash tells her that she is talking about the earlier Ronit. After Pooja's accident, Ronit has changed completely and he has been a witness to it. Akash tells her that Ronit loves her very much. Surprisingly, not much reactions on Pooja's face. Pooja asks Akash if they can be friends again and offers her hand. Akash shakes hands with her and accepts the friendship again. Ronit is sitting in his car and sees this. He smiles and seems to be happy that Akash and Pooja have patched up. Akash and Ronit leave from there.

Kushan comes to drop Mandy as she is late for her home. While Pooja is standing down thinking that she has got one of her friends back and now she wants to go to Mandy and talk with her, she sees a car coming in. Mandy comes out of the car and like a girl in love, rests her hands on the open window of the car and talks to Kushan. Pooja sees Mandy and wonders where she had been all this time and who has come to drop her at this moment. Kushan has probably seen Pooja and acts in front of her. Asks Mandy to come closer giving a look to someone who is watching far away as if he is kissing someone. Pooja sees this and wonders what has happened to Mandy. Episode ends.

Kushan is successful in achieving what he wanted to. Mandy is shown in poor form and a girl who is so bholi that almost anyone can make a fool out of her. Akash has patched with Pooja but Pooja is still not talking to Ronit. I guess she will start talking soon. The worse part next week will be the problems between Pooja and Mandy. It seems the writers of YMLH have run out of ideas and are resorting to almost what happens in every other serial 😆. Hope they bring some originality as earlier and make us enjoy watching this serial. Else, this will become like every other serial coming on air. What do you guys have to say?

June 27th, 2006 -- Brief Update

As we saw last time that Kushan is almost successful in making Mandy believe him. He calls up Annie to give the good news and that she's done the right thing in calling him back. Pooja meets Mandy after Kushan drops her at her house. She asks Mandy where was she at such an hour and who had dropped her. Mandy doesn't answer anything. Pooja holds her hand and asks her that from when is all this going on and demands answer from her. Pooja tells Mandy that why is she not telling to her best friend. Mandy pulls Pooja's hand from her body and tells her that she wonders whether Pooja is her best friend. Pooja is shocked.

First here are some comments: Ronit was really good in the acting department today. Ekta Kapoor, if you need a lead actor for your next K-creation, here is an actor you should keep out for 😆. My prediction is (going by the dialogue and what happens in the show) that if Ronit and Pooja are bound to get married sometime soon (which is where the show seems to be heading with all the family drama, marriage and love talk by Ronit) then Ronit will surely leave his house and marry Pooja in a K3G style (you know, where SRK comes to Kajol's house and marries her on the spot) and the story will go on in the 'Saathiya' path where Ronit and Pooja will still go to college (because the main story, hopefully, is still about Pooja's dream) while trying to make ends meet in their married life. Just a prediction! 😛

June 28th, 2006

The episode starts with Sudhaben, Rasik and Pooja arriving at the 'Gujral villa'. From a scene similar to the film 'Taal', the security guard outside the house assumes Rasik is there to apply for the position of a security guard. After clearing up matters, he lets the three go inside. Ronit meanwhile finishes signing the papers (looking very good too in a red shirt and black jacket- looks like the directors finally got him new clothes to wear😆) and is asked to sign a few more papers, but says no more business for today. He is elated at going home and seeing Pooja and her family.

Back at the villa [😆], Rasik asks about the children and Maya tells them Ronit had some business and Reema is away at Delhi for a wedding. Inder [Ronit's Dad] asks Rasikbhai what he does for a living. He tells Maya and him that he has a clothing shop. Inder says 'Oh you're in the garment business'. Inder gets a call and excuses himself from there. Rasik gets up, and offers the engagement/wedding card to Maya. She first just stares at him and asks him what that is. He says it's an invitation. Maya is 'oh' and gets up to get her checkbook. She asks Rasik how much he wants and he gets confused and says we are just inviting you, and we expect nothing else. Maya says its a wedding, so you are most likely expecting a gift. Pooja intervenes and tells Maya to be quiet and says she is very poor etc. Pooja tells Maya she wishes she could give her a little humanity because she has none. Sudha, Rasik and Pooja leave from there. At the same time, an overly-excited Ronit arrives, with a bunch of gifts in his hands, and sees the three come out. He asks Rasik why he's leaving without having seeing him and says we will all have lunch together. Rasik says his stomach is full already [from Maya's words] Ronit wonders what has happened and Pooja gives Ronit a face and says your mother told us enough, so go ask her. They leave and Ronit looks depressed.

Maya complains to Inder about how rude Pooja's family was to her and Inder tells her not to worry, and that they are gone. Ronit comes in and says some words to Maya [great acting by Ronit here👏] about how one is supposed to act in front of guests etc. He tells his dad that he expected this from 'mom' but not him. Ronit continues by saying he knows that 'in business, everyone lies' so he must have thought that its okay to lie to his son.

Milind comes to meet Poornima and the two share some cute moments 😳. He shows her the ring he bought for their engagement. Rasik, Sudha & Pooja arrive at the same time with long faces. Poornima and Milind look worried. Milind tries to cheer them up by showing the ring and also asks Rasik to speak to his father regarding the banquet hall and catering. Rasik says he will do whatever he can and if he can't, then he hopes they will forgive him. He goes into his room, and closes the door right in front of Pooja. Mandy calls Pooja (probably to clear their misunderstandings) but Pooja says she can't talk now and hangs up. Mandy gets a bit upset, thinking Pooja is still upset about their fight. Mandy is like fine and thinks that she has other friends [oh no, Kushan! 😈] that she can talk to.

Maya is with Annie, who congratulates her on her behavior with the Mehtas. She says the 'chawl' people may not have enough in terms of money, but their 'izzat' is everything to them, which Maya put down when they came to her house. Maya says that is all great and dandy, but she is worried about Ronit - what if Ronit leaves the house? Annie consoles her, saying Ronit would have left the day he rejected the engagement, but did not. However, Annie adds that she is afraid Ronit may bow down to Pooja and her family.

Pooja opens the door and assumes it is Milind, but when she looks up, it is Ronit. She tries to close the door, but Ronit pushes it open and says 'I cannot undo what happened, but I can try to make up for it' Pooja says your mother said enough and tries to close the door again, but Ronit opens it again. He goes up to Rasik and drops down at his feet. He apologizes for his mother and father's actions etc. Rasik pulls Ronit up, and asks him that he cannot do anything. Rasik continues saying they are 'simple people' and that if anyone else sees Ronit here, it could start rumors and goes back into his room. Ronit then tells Pooja 'I don't know about anyone else, but I promise that my parents will come here themselves and ask your parents for forgiveness in 24 hours. If this does not happen, you will never see my face again' [😲!!!!] Pooja is really shocked at his words [probably the last few ones😛] and the episode ends.


Final comments: Okay, Maya will never bow down to anyone, so we can forget about her coming and asking for forgiveness. Now, here is the interesting part - Ronit promises to never show his face to Pooja, but Pooja might soon realize that she loves Ronit and cannot live without him [making Bikram Roy's prediction way back true] and she'll admit her love etc. Now, where does this leave Akash? I have no clue, maybe he will get depressed and drunk like Devdas or something 😛.. or maybe his and Reema's love story will start😳. Let me know what you all think.

Inder Gujral goes to Mehta House

Pooja is moving in her house at night. She sees everyone sleeping but somehow she can't sleep. She keeps thinking about what had happened with her and her parents at Ronit's place. Ronit comes to her mind often and she wonders why does she think about him so much. Just then, the telephone rings and guess kaun phone karta hai? Nope. It's not Ronit. It's his mom, Maya Gujral. She starts with Pooja again and asks about the whereabouts of Ronit. Maya then proceeds with her usual stuff about chotey aur middle class log and all that. Pooja is annoyed and asks her not to call back again. Maya is frustrated and angry. Frustrated, since she thinks Pooja is very strong and she is not able to do much and angry because Ronit does not listen to her anymore. Inder Gujral comes in and tells Maya that he spent all his life running after work and money and never realised that how much Reema and Ronit have growing up. He was feeling bad about it and thinks that he will now stay closer to them and would care about their wishes as well. He asks Maya about going to Mehta house - Maya refuses. It seems Inder was willing to go.

Annie keeps on thinking what makes Pooja tick. She wonders what she will do next to make sure Ronit forgets Pooja. Just then, Kushan arrives and tells her that all his moves are falling in place and soon he will be able to do what he wants. He tells Annie that Mandy is in love with him and can do anything for him now. Annie is surprised and does not believe that she can do anything. Kushan offers to prove and calls up Mandy on a speaker phone. He acts as if he is not well and keeps on coughing. Mandy picks up the phone and is worried about Kushan and tells him that she will come and see him. Kushan tells her that he doesn't mind but Pooja might - Mandy says she will come anyways. Annie is listening to this and is convinced.

Ronit is not really happy about his parent's behaviour. 24 hours have passed and Ronit's parents have not gone to Mehta House. Ronit tells his parents that he wants to leave his house. Maya tells him not to take such a step but Ronit is admanant. Inder Gujral, sensing the situation tells Ronit that he is willing to go and ask for forgiveness from Rasikbhai and Pooja. Ronit is ecstatic. He is very happy that his dad has understood his feelings and is willing to do anything for his happiness. Inder Gujral goes to Rasikbhai's house. Rasikbhai welcomes him while he asks for water. Rasikbhai tells Poornima to get tea for him and asks Inder if he would like to have something with tea. He says 'Maafi' - if they can give it. He continues and says that he is ashamed about what Maya said to them and she did not understand their feelings. He is here to say sorry for that.

Akash has come to Ronit's house and Ronit is happy and tells him that his dad has gone to Pooja's house. Akash asks for a treat and Ronit agrees. Inder Gujral comes in. Ronit goes and meets him and asks him what happened. Inder Gujral describes what happened and the scenes are shown to us then. After he says sorry, he goes on to tell in a sarcastic way how zameen par rengney waaley kidey bhi bhaari pad jaatey hai and no one can underestimate them. He offers Rs. 50 lac as a scholarship to Pooja to persue her dreams. He tells her that with that money she can go the best film making school in Hollywood. Everyone at Mehta house is shocked. Then, Pooja says that she would like to go to Hollywood, but with her own money and refuses to accept it. Even, Rasikbhai is not willing to accept such a huge amount. Ronit realises what his dad has done. He tried to show them the power of money. Ronit is very disappointed and makes it clear to his parents. Then comes the climax - Ronit says that he wants to leave his house. Apna ghar, apney parents aur paisey - sab kuch chodna chahta hai woh. His parents are shocked.

What next? Will Ronit leave his house? If he does, where would he go - Akash ke ghar par? What would Pooja do? And Akash? What about his promise to Ronit? Will he still try and convince Pooja? What about Mandy? Will Kushan be able to do as he has thought about? Dirty tricks, undying love and bond of friendship - all these in the coming episodes. Keep watching and writing.
