The episode is really sad.. it starts off with Dr. Rogers saying that the only way Pooja can survive is through a very dangerous and risky operation. Because the operation is very risky, they need permission from Sudhaben to perform it. Akash and Ronit explain to Sudhaben that the form says that in case anything happens during the operation, she would not hold the hospital nor the doctors responsible. Poornima assures her mom that everything is going to be alright.
Sudhaben takes an aarti thali and goes to Pooja's room. She applies tilak on her head and asks her to win over the disease and come back. Dr. Rogers comes in along with the hospital's doctor and Sudhaben applies tilak on him as well. She says it is Pooja's birthday tomorrow and she will be happy to have her back. When Dr. Rogers says that he is just a doctor and doing his job, Sudhaben replies that for her, he is not just a doctor but is God. Dr. Rogers does not know how to react to her comment. [The hospital's doctor translates the conversation for them]
The next day, Pooja is being taken to the operation theatre, where Ronit, Akash, Sudhaben, Mandy and Poornima are there. Rasikbhai's absence is conspicuous. He says that everything will be alright and he is the culprit. He says that once she had changed Ronit for good, now he wants her back. Poornima prays too and so does Mandy. Mandy says to Pooja that she will plan a big party for her tomorrow since its her birthday and that she has to attend the party😭. [Here, while Pooja is being taken, Mandy is shown speaking with her voice muted while Poornima's voice runs in the background 😆. I guess the editors were sleeping when they edited this episode😛.]
Ronit remembers some of the moments he has spend with Pooja. Akash goes home and prays to God. He remembers an incident as a child when his mom had told him about how the Lord helps us and about the Lord Ganesh statue in their house. He takes the idol of Lord Ganesh from the temple at home for good wishes to Pooja. Aakash's mom comes and sees him taking the statue and is very surprised to see this!
Meanwhile, Maya Gujral arrives at the hospital and asks Sudhaben for Ronit. Ronit doesn't speak nicely to his mother - Sudhaben reminds him that he is talking to his mother. He goes at one side and talks to his mother. Maya Gujral is angry with Ronit for still being in the hospital while Aakash's mom is angry with him for removing the idol from the temple. Both the scenes are shown alternatively, where Ronit tells his mother that Pooja means a lot to him and Aakash explains that she is his friend. The moms at both end try to explain that it is too much what they are doing - Ronit warns his mother of dire consequences if she interrupts while Akash's mom tells him that this is not friendship, it is something else. Maya Gujral tells Ronit that she will never leave Ronit with Pooja. Both moms leave and then inevitable happens. Ronit and Akash both say 'Pooja, I love you'. Mar gaye. Jo nahin hona chahiye tha wahi hua - ab? Ab kya hoga?
Akash takes the idol of Lord Ganesh and arrives at the hospital and wonders about the health of Pooja. Sudhaben says that she is still inside the operation theatre. Akash puts the idol there and prays to the lord. Inside, Dr. Rogers is shown performing the operation. He comes out of the OT where everyone is waiting for him. Dr. Rogers informs everyone that they would be able to celebrate her birthday 👏. Eyes sparkle, smiles return on faces and everyone is very happy 😃. Ronit could not believe it and thanks both of the doctors 👍🏼. Sudhaben, Akash, Poornima and Mandy all say thanks to Dr. Rogers. Everyone is very happy and ask the doctor when they could meet her. He replies that after around twelve hours - but he has something more to say - 'There is a slight chance that Pooja might be paralysed' - says Dr Rogers. The hospital doctor explains and says that 'Pooja might not be able to ever walk again'. Bombed! Eyes become dull, smiles vanishes and everyone is shocked .
June 16th, 2006
Sudhaben bursts out at Dr. Rogers and tells him that she had really trusted him and he said everything will be alright. Doctor tells her that he has done his level best and the rest lies on destiny. Poornima, Mandy and Sudhaben are all in tears. Mandy tells Sudhaben that the thought of Pooja being crippled throught her life is scary. Ronit gets angry and interrupts her and asks how can she even think like that. He tells Sudhaben not to worry and says that he is here. He reminds them that the doctor had said that there is only a 30 percent chance that she can be paralysed. He further adds that everyone knows how strong Pooja is and God forbid, in case something happens to her, she will fight it out. She has always fought tough things and has always won. Akash too consoles Sudhaben.
Just then, Pooja is brought out of the operation theatre. Mandy sees her and recollects some earlier days spend together. Aur yahaan par, aur ek nayi baat humhey jaan-ney mili. Mandy aur Pooja ka birthday ek hi din hai 👏. Mandy remembers last year when she and Pooja cut the cake together and wishes that Pooja will be back again fine and perfect on their birthday. Ronit remembers some times spent with Pooja where he teases her for being a typical saggitarian and teases her while Akash comes in and saves her and says some good things about her sun sign. Both of them keep thinking about her.
Akash prays to God and so does Ronit. Ronit sees Pooja and tells her that he will make sure nothing happens to her and that is a promise, Ronit Gujral ka wada 😆. Maya Gujral is very worried, which causes her to lose the chess game she is playing with her friend. Annie comes in and realizes what Mrs. Gujral is thinking about. Maya Gujral thinks that she underestimated her opponent [Pooja] and thought that middle class girl would be weak. But, she was wrong. Pooja was much stonger than she could imagine. Annie says that if she would do as she thought of, things would be pretty okay. Her mom who was sitting there said, ek pyada [pawn, in chess] gaya toh kya hua, aapkey pass queen toh hai - referring to Annie. Mrs. Gujral thinks that she will try using the 'queen' option as well 😈.
At the hospital, Reema is back [finally!😛]. She has come to know about how her mom falsely made up the thing about Assam just to take them away from Pooja. She meets Akash and asks her about Pooja. Akash tells her that her condition was very bad and she had to be operated. Reema is sad. Akash continues and says that the operation went fine and she is much better. But... but the doctor has said that there is a thirty percent chance that Pooja's body might be paralysed. Reema is shocked 😲.
Ronit goes to the temple and talks to Shivji. The talks between him and the Lord are shown as in any other Hindi movie. Ronit says here that he will make sure that the Lord changes his decision about Pooja and make sure that she is alright and she comes to know how much he loves her. Back at the hospital, the doctors re-examine Pooja and remove her oxygen mask. Sudhaben keeps on wondering what is happening. After some time, Pooja opens her eyes. Hey...!! She did it finally 😃.
Congratulations, Mehta family. And all the people who wanted her back. But wait, what's this? She opened her eyes but did not speak anything. Sudhaben points this out to doctor. Dr. Rogers moves his hand across Pooja's eyes but she does nothing. Kya aankhen chali gayi 😕? I don't think so. Must be something else. Memory loss. No, please! If she looses her memory, I'm going to stop writing. Then, what else?! 😕 Keep guessing till Monday! 😛
OMG.. I hope its not like Hindi movies where she gets paralysed and then Ronit's tear falls on her face and she gets all better!! 😛😆😆

Dr. Rogers finishes examining Pooja and turns around to Sudhaben and says "Congratulations, the worst is over 😃" Sudhaben, Mandy, Poornima, Reema and Aakash are all very excited. The hospital doctor says that Pooja will wake up soon. Aakash wonders where Ronit is and goes out to look for him. He finds Ronit in a mandir just as he is about to faint from praying so much. Aakash tells Ronit the good news and they both get excited and rush to the hospital. Aakash says to Ronit, "now Pooja has both of us, you and me😊" [bechara.. he doesn't know that Ronit loves her too😛"
Both Aakash and Ronit come back to the hospital just as Dr. Rogers is leaving. They thank him once again and Dr. Rogers says "Thank you for finding me and convincing me to do this operation. I must go back now otherwise my wife will declare me mental😛" They thank him again and say goodbye to the doctor. As Dr. Rogers is leaving, he turns around and says "Phir Milenge" 👏 Ronit and Aakash go back to Pooja's room but think in their heads that they have to get ready so they can propose to her. The hospital doctor tells Sudhaben that only one person can stay with Pooja as she needs rest. They all agree to let Mandy stay with her since its their birthday. Reema offers to drop Sudhaben and Poornima home.
Aakash runs home and is very happy. He tells his mother the good news about Pooja's health and goes to get ready. Ronit comes home and tells Maya Gujral the good news and rushes to his room to get ready. He reveals a diamond necklace that he has bought for Pooja's birthday. Both shave, change and sing songs like "I love you Pooooojjjaaaaaaaaaaa"😆😆 As Aakash is leaving, his mother stops him and gives him a chain. She says, "Your father gave me this chain before proposing to me. You must take this chain now to propose to Pooja" Aakash happily takes it and goes back to the hospital. Maya Gujral stops Ronit and says that a poor girl like Pooja can never relate to their family. Ronit replies, "Watch mom, someday, the same Pooja will be the 'shaan' of this house"😛 [YESS.. GOO RONIT!!! 👍🏼]
Both Aakash and Ronit imagine going to Pooja and proposing to her. Aakash has some problems with the elevator so Ronit reaches her room first. As he reaches, he hears Pooja and Mandy talking. Pooja has just remembered the reason she fainted and says to Mandy that whenever she starts liking Ronit, he does something to break her trust. This time, Pooja thought that she might even be in love with him, but she was wrong. "I HATE RONIT!😡" Ronit hears this and completely breaks down! 😭

'I hate Ronit' - says Pooja. Ronit overhears this and is very sad. Mandy feels that someone is outside the room listening to Pooja and her. She goes out to check and finds no one. Ronit goes away from there. He is sad, almost in tears. He runs away in the hospital corridor, bangs with a nurse and falls down. He gets up again, and bangs again with Akash. Apna Akash was coming with ekdum josh aur chehre par haasi liye huey aur Ronit bhai ne takkar maar di. Ronit hugs Akash and tells him that 'He loves Pooja'. Akash ka toh ekdum dil hi toot gaya. He controls his emotions though and listens to Ronit. Ronit tells him that he loves Pooja very much but is very sad to hear that she hates him. Ronit says that he loves her so much that if she can't be his, he would prefer to die. Akash consoles him and tell him not to think like that. Ronit asks Akash for help. Tragedy & dilemma for Akash. He tells Akash that if he is a true friend, he will help him get Pooja. He requests Akash to help him achieve his love and he would tell Pooja about how much Ronit loves her. Ronit asks Akash to give him a promise that he would help him and Pooja unite. With the necklace he got for Pooja still in his hands, Akash hugs and promises Ronit. Akash is in tears as well. 😭
Back at Akash's home, his mom prays to god and asks Bhagwan to help his son be successful in his love. She thinks that till date, Akash has lost more than he has got and she would be really happy if he gets Pooja, the one whom he loves. Akash comes in then. His mom asks him about what happened - Akash tells that Pooja accepted the necklace, but she said that she needs time to think since this has come as a shock to her. Akash's mom is fine with it and tells Akash that she thinks Pooja will say yes to him eventually and asks him to cheer up and enjoy. Akash feels bad to have lied to his mom.
It is Pooja's and Mandy's birthday. KS, Reema and Mandy are the first visitors. KS gets a bouquet and some gift for Mandy. Milind comes in too with a bouquet of orchids. Pooja asks for Akash. Reema tries to call Ronit, but he doesn't pick up. Later, Sudhaben, Grandpa, Pooja's younger brother (finally he made an entry - after so many episodes - chalo koi baat nahin, bahen ki yaad toh aayi 😛) and Mandy's mom come in. Pooja asks for Rasikbhai - Sudhaben replies that he was not feeling well and hence he has not come. [Well, we are surprised too with his absence. Maybe, because he is busy shooting something else. I hope they don't change him as well.] Sudhaben Pooja ki aarti utarti hai aur usey aashirwaad deti hai. Pooja asks about the idol of Lord Ganesh - Sudhaben replies that it is Akash who's got this for Pooja from his house temple and she continues saying that Akash has done so much for her. Mandy gets a cake and asks Pooja to cut it. Pooja asks her to wait for Akash.
At Ronit's home, he is very sad and cannot stop thinking about Pooja. Maya Gujral comes in looking for him when Rosie says he is not at home. Mrs. Gujral sees Pooja's photos with Ronit all over a wall and is very angry. She pulls the photos and tears them all. Annie comes in at that moment. [FYI, she has listened to us all and changed her hairstyle.😛] She tells Maya not to get excited and is surprised to see her helpless like this. Annie suggests that it is high time she thought and took some decisions soon. Going by the looks of Maya, it sees she will take one soon, maybe in the next episode.
Ronit and Akash meet up at on the rocks besides a sea. Ronit pours his heart out and tells Akash that he has changed. He has, for the first time realised what true love is. He can see happiness and light everywhere in love and feels very sad to learn that the person whom he loves more than anything in this world hates him. He cannot bear this and thinks he cannot live if Pooja disagrees and ignores him. Akash tells him that he understands [c'mon, we know what he must be going thru']. Akash tells him that he will make sure that Pooja gets to know the new Ronit now. He will go and tell Pooja that Ronit has changed for real and how much he loves her. He asks him to come to the hospital as it is Pooja's birthday. Ronit refuses saying he does not want to spoil Pooja's mood on her birthday and asks Akash to go instead.
At the hospital, more visitors in the form of the St. Martin's principal, Miss Resham and some students pour in. Principal wishes Pooja and asks her to cut the cake. Pooja and Mandy do so and everyone sings 'Happy Birthday' for them👏. Akash comes in there as well. Pooja tells him that she knows how much he's done for her and offers him the largest piece of cake. Akash tells her that one more person deserves this large piece and that is Ronit. Pooja is shocked to listen this.
Ab kya hoga? Will Ronit come in and talk to Pooja? Will Pooja ever listen anything about Ronit now? How will Akash make sure that Pooja starts liking Ronit again? A tragedy of events today. Akash shows that he has a golden heart. He sacrifices his love for his friendship. How much he values his friendship? Would some of you would have done the same thing? What is more important to you.. Love or friendship?

June 21st, 2006 - Pooja recovers and comes home
Akash tries to tell Pooja how much Ronit was instrumental as well in the recovery of Pooja. Pooja does not like to talk about Ronit and makes it clear with Akash. Everyone is really happy about Pooja's recovery. They show some recovery process where Pooja tries to stand by herself and walk a bit as well. Ronit does not gather enough courage to come face to face with Pooja as he does not want to disappoint her. He comes with Akash once to the hospital with flowers, but does not come in Pooja's room and he asks Akash to give her the flowers. Akash carries two bouquets but Pooja takes Ronit's bouquet without knowing who got it for her. Pooja loves Ronit's bouqet 😆 and Aakash simply carries his small bouqet in his hands. Today, Pooja ke parivar ke sab log dikhayi detay hein. Pooja's elder sister, her husband [Jignesh], Pooja's younger brother, Sudhaben, Rasikbhai, Poornima and Milind.
At the hospital, St. Martin's Principal and Resham discuss Pooja's situation. The principal is happy that Pooja has recovered but still thinks this happened because of Ronit. Resham too agrees that Ronit might be at fault, but what he has done through out Pooja's recovery is commendable. She tells the principal that someone staying at the hospital until one gets cured is a very nice deed. She thinks that Ronit should be given another chance because he wants to improve. Resham also reminds how Pooja and Ronit's show was a hit that saved St. Martin's reputation. Bus, yahi baat humaray principal ko choo gayi 😛. Aapko malum hai na, if anyone talks about the prestige of St. Martin's, the Principle gets very enthusiastic 😛. Principal says that he would reconsider his decision of suspending Ronit.
Everyone gears for Pooja's homecoming. Akash calls Ronit and tells him about this and says that Pooja's family has organized a puja at her place. Ronit says he knows but does not want to come since he does not want to see Pooja unhappy by meeting the person whom she hates the most in the world. This is love as well. We all know how Akash has sacrificed his love, laiken Ronit nay bhi kuch kam nahin kiya hai... he is not meeting Pooja only because she might get unhappy and he's not even trying to tell her how much he did for her when she was not well - Actually, dekha jaaye toh yeh bhi ek tarah ki kurbani hai 👏.
Akash goes along with Reema to the puja at Pooja's place. Reems asks Akash about her dress but Akash ignores her and is more interested in Pooja. During the Pooja, Akash gives Pooja a letter and asks her to read it for the sake of their friendship. Even after the Pooja is over, when Reema offers aarti to Akash, he asks Pooja to read the letter for sure. Reema over hears this and is confused. [I feel sorry for Reema at this point.. she has a very innocent look on her face] Akash tells Ronit that he has written a letter on Ronit's behalf and given it to Pooja.
At Ronit's house, Maya Gujral asks Ronit to stay at home in the evening for an important decision. She is sitting with Annie's mom and reads a newspaper where an article about a merger between Maya's company and Annie's father's company is mentioned. Maya tells Annie's mom that she would love if their friendship turns into a relationship and thinks that Annie and Ronit should be engaged [eventhough they are really young 😛]. Annie's mom is thrilled with the idea and says to talk to their children. Maya says she will talk to Ronit.. Annie overhears the entire conversation and is happy 😈.
Pooja reads the letter which Akash gave her. The letter says it is written by Ronit and he has made a confession to Pooja that he loves her. It was she who was responsible for changing his character to such an extent and he loves her a lot and cannot live without her. Pooja is shocked aur uskey haathon se woh letter gir jaata hai.
Pooja's homecoming, Ronit still not meeting Pooja, Akash trying to convince Pooja about how Ronit has actually changed and Reema noticing something different in Akash - Kaafi kuch hua aaj. Don't forget to tune into my daily updates and write down your views 😛.
