I loved the glimpse you have given here into an insecure, vulnerable Raman - the way Ishita' shyness and hesitance which are owing to her own securities with herself and the very notion of disappointing him she might inadvertently be bringing back his own demons - lovely, simply lovely there Anu, a masterstroke...if only we could have seen something like this on the show but instead we are being subjected to torture 😭

Wanna see how you take this forward and I doubt this will remain a TS, if you manage to keep it so, it will be something - something tells me this is on its way to becoming an SS - even if not a very long one - maybe another 1 or 2 parts to go, but a SS nonetheless 😳 and trust me if that happens I will be one happy customer 😃

I boxed myself between wanting them to talk and the romantic setting...so it took me a while to resolve that...

Aani & Sai, I managed to complete the story in 3 parts...😉

If I extended it further, I don't know how long will I take to write another part and I was afraid that no one will be left to read it...😛

Saanson ko saanson mein dhalne do zara dheemi si dhadkan ko badhne do zara

lamhon ki guzarish hai yeh paas aa jaayen

He pulled her towards him ,gathered her in his arms and took her right hand in his left. He brought his forehead towards her and touched her head with his .

She wore her hair loose,long and wavy tumbled past her shoulders. She was ethereal in white.She wore gold jhumki's on her ears, and her eyes...

When he looked up her eyes,he found them staring at him with shy vulnerability, he almost couldn't take it. He wanted her so much.

"Dance with me",he said quietly into her ear.

aankhon mein humko utarne do zara baahon mein humko pighalne do zara

lamhon ki guzarish hai ye paas aa jaayen

hum.. hum tum.. tum.. hum tum..

With his right hand on her waist and her's on his chest,they swayed to the music.She moved fluidly against him,like she belonged in his arms.

He played with the ring,his ring on her hand, brought her hand towards his lips and kissed her knuckles.He leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead.

salvatein kahin karwatein kahin phail jaaye kaajal bhi tera

nazron mein ho guzarta hua khwabon ka koi kafila

With a shy smile,she moved away out of his reach, he immediately returned her back to the fold,with her back to his front. He held her tight from the back with his hands around her waist.He kissed the back of her head,moved her hair around her ear,with little pecks reached to her neck and nuzzled into it.

chhoo lo badan magar is tarah jaise sureela saaz ho

andhere chhupe tere zulf mein kholo ke raat azaad ho

aanchal ko seene se dhalne do zara shabnam ki boondein phisalne do zara

She couldn't hold back any longer, she turned towards him and waited, waited for his kiss. With nothing happening she opened her eyes to find him staring at her. Somewhere she knew that he was waiting for her to take the initiative.Without a second thought she reached for his lips.

Their kiss,their first kiss...As if it was all the encouragement he needed, He cupped the back of her head and kissed her deeply.They began exploring each other and when they were out of air they pulled out and stared at each other catching their breath.

"Say Yes", He coaxed. She nodded without a word.

He left her for a sec,moved towards the bed,pulled the pink roses and arranged those petals on the bed. And when he came back to her, she was waiting. He picked her up gently placed her on the bed. She opened her arms, inviting him into them and he went.

The rain drops cascaded down the window pane in the bedroom.

The morning sun was trying hard to enter the room through the windows. There was no trace that there was rain yesterday.The sky was so clear .

He knew before he opened his eyes, that he was alone. He opened his eyes and on not finding her sat up hurriedly and and searched for her. She was no where to be found.

"Damn" he thought and went looking for her.

In the kitchen his mother informed him, that Ishita left early in the morning for an emergency. And asked him whether he needed something. He denied.

He slowly went back to his room.

"May be she really had an emergency," he tried to convince himself.But something was not sitting right with him. "Why did she have to leave today of all the days"He cursed.

He wanted her in his arms, when he woke up. With a sigh he went to his room and began his day.

Ishita was sitting in her office lost in thought.

She was guilty. She faked an emergency and escaped home. But the real reason she left so early was ,she couldn't face him.

After last night ,the most memorable one of her existence she shouldn't be feeling this way but she was nervous and apprehensive. She was not ready for his reaction .

She was worried as to what she will see in his face.

"What if he is disappointed. What if I didn't match up. Oh God, Iam such a fool. I don't know why I keep doing this to myself "She cursed.

Around twelve noon, while she was still lost in her thoughts, she heard a knock on her door. Preoccupied, she said "Come in".

It was Raman. He came inside and closed the door.

She was shocked to see him here, she stood up and began talking urgently.

" What are you doing here, I mean is everyone ok..." She fumbled.

He came and stood near her . Looking into her eyes he asked calmly "What are you doing here."

"I had an emergency in the morning and then I need to review the notes given by my assistance and..." She blabbered.

"Ishita , stop lying. What is bothering you? I thought after last night we are past all this, but still here we are..." He sighed.

At the mention of last night ,she became really shy and without looking at him mumbled "It's nothing, You are just imagining things."

"Am I? Ok...not here. Iam taking you out for lunch and then you and I are having the talk" He ordered.

She didn't deny him, somehow she knew the time has come to lay out her fears in the open.She only wished that she wont make him more angry.

They sat at her fav Italian restaurant, isolated from others towards the corner.They both ordered and he was looking up at her,expecting her to continue from where they took off.

She sighed and began to speak.

"It's silly actually. It's even hard for me to admit but I was insecure, I guess. Whenever we thought of taking our relationship forward, I was afraid that I would disappoint you... "

At his blank face, she continued "You know Shagun... I mean you are with her before and now...look at me... I mean Iam no Shagun..."

She immediately shut her mouth with her hands and thought to herself "Oh God, What am I blabbering".

Finally he understood what was bothering her. He leaned forward took her hands in his and made her look at him.

" Trust me when I say this. I don't even remember my life with Shagun properly anymore. Whatever few good memories were there, she took it all with her, when she walked away on me leaving behind the bad ones. And thanks to you, I don't have to hold on to them anylonger."

"Ironic really, these past days the way you moved away from me actually brought back those memories to the front"

"After all we have been through,how could you even thing that...You are all that I ever need. Whenever you compare yourself with Shagun, you are insulting us."

Tears pooled in her eyes and the drops that fell cleansed her aching heart. "Iam sorry " She replied slowly.

"Promise me , that after today you will not at all think of her and whenever you feel uncomfortable I want you to come to me. Anything and anytime " He instructed.

Wiping her tears she nodded with a smile. He cupped her face and banged her head with his. "Let's eat " He whispered and moved back.

Their food arrived and with a renewed sereneness between them, they began to eat.

"Waise, You are so worried about my past. I tell you, the way you jumped on me last night, the nerdy Raman Bhalla wouldn't have been able to control you."

She choked on her food and looked to see if anyone was near. "Me jumping on you, In your dreams Mr.Bhalla"

"Oh, I don't know ...who was the one who initiated the kiss " He smirked.

"Besharam..."She blushed.And they were back to their comfort zone.

He paid the bill and when they were about to leave, he pulled her back and informed her.

"I want my wife home early,Can you accommodate that " He asked.

She nodded shyly and moved forward. "See you in the evening "He whispered.

She came back again looked to see if anyone was around and cupping his left cheek with her hand, kissed him on the other with an murmured "I love you" in his ear.

Epilogue

The morning sun was shining bright for the second day in a row.

She sensed she was being watched. Slowly she opened her eyes to see him staring at her with his hands gently caressing her arms.

"Feeling dozy, Are we", She asked snuggling deep into her pillows, with a smile and twinkle in her eyes.

"No, feeling loved " He answered sincerely. She blushed on hearing that.

"You know , I could stay here forever. You are the most beautiful person I know, inside and out... Thank you for coming to my life" He spoke.

As soon as the words were out, she pulled him into her arms and nestled into him.

"Ditto " She whispered.

With a kiss on her forehead, he gathered her close.

In the kitchen of the Bhalla house, Simmi and Mihika were arguing on something and Vandu who sat on a chair with steamed idlis on her plate was playing the referee.

"Yesterday " Simmi shouted for the nth time.

"No, the day before" Mihika spoke back equally loud, as if she was exhausted with the argument.

" See, I saw the look on their faces the other day, they both couldn't have waited this long. So it would have been that night only", Mihika continued.

"I don't know what you saw, but Iam sure it would be yesterday night. I can't explain to you but there was some change in them...& I knew Iam right", Simmi countered.

They are both in deep argument and that was how Ishita saw them when she entered the Kitchen.

Ishita looked at them both and asked "Why are you shouting?"

"Ok, tell us ...Did you do it? " Simmi came near her.

For a sec Ishita was taken aback, and she shrieked "What?!? "

"You know what, Did you do it or not...Akka please answer ?" Mihika too came near her.

Ishita filled her coffee in the mug and went and sat near Vandita...

"Chi...you people, Go get life" Ishita scolded them.

"Akka, izzat ka sawal hai...Please bolo na..." Mihika pleaded. Simmi too sat to the other side of Ishita and stressed. Vandita was looking at the whole scene amused.

"Chi... Chi... You guys, Ok... Yes we did it...Happy now" Ishita replied exasperated.

"Thank god, One problem solved...& Now when" Simmi asked as if her life depended on it.

"What, when & where now...Iam not answering anything more " Ishita was about to leave the table..

Mihika stopped her and continued "Akka,one last answer...Is it yesterday night or the day before...Plz Akka answer us..."

Ishita finally understood what they were arguing about , she sat in her chair and with a shy smile answered "Both days..."

Vandita who was enjoying all this till now with out a word,spoke up .

"So, that is the reason you shouldn't mess with the experts...One can take me shopping and the other to the restaurant. Iam free all day, So you decide among yourselves as to who wants to go first " She winked.
