YHM deserves a standing ovation 👏👏👏. A standing ovation for reinforcing the fact that no matter how many bedtime stories Ishima might narrate to Ruhi, she belongs as much to Raman, as she does to Ishita. If biological relationships are anything to go by, Ruhi belongs more so to Raman, than to Ishita (not that, that is a bone of contention).
Loved, loved, loved the way Raman grabbed hold of her shoulders (reminded me of some major Desi Mills & Boon stuff) and made her see sense, that he is her father and no matter what happens, he is never, ever going to let go of Ruhi...let her be separated from them. I was getting SICK and TIRED of Ishita behaving like a majboor single parent, who did her job well...
There, Ishita..You aren't Hercules anymore. You've got Raman who's going to make the ends of the earth meet, just to keep his daughter close, with him. I am so impressed with how the CVs have brought Raman back into the limelight, and aren't content with portraying Ishita as Mother India anymore...lovely...
And what nailed the IshRa scene for me? They finally hugged...hugged like real, like they meant it in every fiber of their being, like they are in this shit together, like they will see it through together, like they have finally realized how much they need each other...and how one couldn't do without the other...even if its Ruhi ke liye..
Raman is no more the unwilling participant in Ishita's grand sacrifice-based-shoddy plans. He is back in form, and fully intends to take charge. Raman-Mihika scene is a testimony to the genuine affection and ease of conversation these two share offscreen. It was so endearing, his teaching Mihika some Punjabi tricks of throwing caution in the air, and giving the world a damn and just caring about Mihir- the guy she madly loves and doing some serious damage control by at least opening her mouth.
No more moping, no more feeling guilty, no more sympathizing. I couldn't stop grinning when IshRa started quabbling over mundane stuff like household chores..Yes..that's what real husbands and wives are made of..a lot of mushy, gushy mundane crap couched in lots and lots of teasing, eye contact, accidental' touching and coy hints..
Mihir isn't too impressed with Mihika's Idli Sambhar Vada? No surprise there!
Did Ashok look like an utter buffoon barging into Mihir's house and pretending his oxygen supply's been cut, with his bro being in the hospital? Yes!
Did Mihir scare the shit out of Ashok, more than Raman could during the Mihik-Ashok scandal? Totally! At least Ashok had the sense to shut his trap and not go on about what a great master player he is. I am loving Mihir day by day...I am seeing shades of him I'd never expected to see during the whole tenure of YHM. Awesome job! Now that we all know Suraj isn't going to leave earthly life so soon, I'm not sorry Mihir lashed out at Suraj the way he did. That jackass had it coming since day one.
Yes, Raman and Mihir should'nt have fought like hooligans right in the school premises atleast. Yes, Raman should've kept a lid on his short fuse. And oh yes, he doesn't generally think about the consequences of his irascible temper. But if he were to be meek and submissive, and thoughtful and watchful, calm and composed, calculating each and every word he spoke, would we so crazy over him? I doubt.
Shaggy is back to her cheap, manipulative, abla naari tactics. So am not surprised there. But am disappointed she forgot to mention she was the one marrying Ashok for money, and didn't give two hoots that he was a sleeping feind..I am disappointed she didn't mention that she had raised her hand at Ruhi, in full public view, with her would-be-in-laws (Suraj) scaring the shit out of poor Ruhi...
and I guess she also forgot to mention she'd have to first beg, borrow steal to take care of her humongous make-up routines and designer sarees and five-inch stilettos, before she can think of providing decently for Adi and Ruhi...and ensuring they don't end up on the streets..
Had she done that, the Judge would have got some perspective.
What stands out in my mind? Raman Kumar Bhalla, the guy who wouldn't think once before acting, but also the guy who'd lay his life for the one he loves. I am looking forward to the vengeful, bullish Raman who's going to beat the crap out of his ex-wife and show her where she stands! Go for it Raman..make Shaggy see stars in broad daylight!
Btw, can they do something about Neel's hair??? I don't care how big a lawyer he is, all I could focus on while he was dishing out legal jargons was his damn unruly hair!
Precap - When will Ruhi go back to being a child again?
