At the center of our solar system is the sun, aka Suraj. So too at the center of the current drama unfolding on YHM is Ashok's chota bhai Sunny, the self-appointed director of the ensuing drama.š¤
From the moment Suraj arrived in Delhi he's been nothing but trouble and nasty towards everyone he's encountered except his klan of kamineys, and is bad news all around. For the past six years Ashok had plenty of opportunities to take Raman down but failed miserably. He's been taking cues from chota lambu, desperate to find any way that will ruin Raman. Since Ishu publicly exposed Sunny's shady scandal and Raman remained President of DEA, the outraged and outrageous Lambu brothers have been on a targeted mission to destroy Raman and Ishita and couldn't care less who's sacrificed in the process to achieve their agenda. Everyone who is remotely on their radar are now being drawn with or without their consent into kaminey web of deceit.
Param, a banished damadh of the Bhalla family has an axe to grind with Raman and Ishita. That he got a trashing from Raman still irks him but that he tried to molest his bhabhi is not? He made his first move by giving Simmi an ultimatum to move in with him or meet him in divorce court, after getting Ashok's blessings and deep pockets to back him up. Param's first strike is to distract Raman while they plot to ruin his business and rip the family apart. Param is a sly dog, he's going to play it cool and turn the tables on them while setting traps, if they don't stay alert to his tricks.
Ashok knows Raman's weakness is his love of family, so he's reluctant to let go of his two trump cards still under his roof even if Suraj has an issue with it...Raman's beloved son Adi and his mother Shagun. Raman has proven he'd step in to protect Shagun for Adi's sake.
Shagun confronted Ashok about Suraj taunting her which he deflected by defending his brother then she reiterated her loyalty to Ashok...which is likely to be put to the test. An impulsive and anxious Shagun is like stirring a hornet's nest, we got a glimpse of the mess she could create when she covered up Adi's accident. She is miffed at Ashok for failing to defend her to his brother. Ashok is not considering this angle and it could cost him dearly were Shagun to alert Raman or Mihir about the breakfast conversation where plotting Param and the Lambu Khannas had their pow-wow about strategy for targeting the Bhallas. This could also be her chance to win Mihir over.
Shagun could be the volunteer/unexpected spy for the Bhallas and score some brownie points with the family for the sake of Ruhi. She has her pride at stake as well, so she's not going to let go of Ashok so easily. There is an internal war within the kaminey mansion between Shagun and Suraj. Shagun had an issue with Ashok for not protecting her when Tyagi grabbed her hand. Will she have a role to play in trapping Param and exposing him to Simmi?
** Idea**š² Shagun sets Param up to expose him to Simmi, as a kaminey insider Param may not suspect Shagun of being on the Bhalla side. Will Param blow the whistle on Simmi's backstabbing too? If Param is exposed sooner than the Khannas have a plan in place to take on Raman, that could topple Ashok and Suraj's plans against the Bhallas in a big way. They will stoop as low as they can go to get Raman this time...nothing is off limits, not any member of the Bhalla and Iyer families...and they will do it by hook or by crook.
Somewhere along the way, Shagun could get booted out of Ashok's life if she fails to play her cards right. Chota lambu has targeted Shagun from the get go to oust her from Ashok's life. Why he detested her at first sight is a mystery?š
Ashok has his eyes set on Mihika, she has talked to Mihir about it but Raman and Ishu are in the dark about his creepy advances. He spun a story and Shagun bought when she voiced her suspicions of his wandering eyes directed at Mihika.
The Kaminey klan will launch an attack from every possible angle. If Bala still goes to Ashok's mansion to tutor Adi, he could pick up a few clues for Raman. Let's hope he doesn't get paid off by the enemy camp just to make some extra money to give Mihika a gift at her wedding.š¤
Romi showed us he can get into a criminal's head when he set up the sting on Suraj. He would be a valuable source for Raman. The Bhalla brothers can be a powerful team and let Ishu get back to fixing the pearly whites and lend a hand with Mihir/Mihika's wedding and taking care of Ruhi and the other Bhallas.
Who is related to whom and how: (I did a chart showing the cross connections ...the warring parties, but doesn't load right here).š
Raman is Ashok's nemesis. Raman is in a platonic relationship with his Ishitaš - they care for Ruhiš, but attention now on saving Simmi from Paramš.
Shagun is Raman's ex-wife and Adi is their son but they live with Ashok š¤- Mihir is Shagun's brother but loyal to his Raman bhai/jiju.
Mihika is Ishita's first cousin, engaged to Mihir but works for Raman's business rival Ashokš and doesn't know Shagun is Mihir's sister yetš².
Simmi is Raman's sister, married to Param who is Ashok's henchman, now a mole in Bhalla house.š¤Ŗ
Romi is interested in Sarika, who works for Ishita but was molested by Param
Bala is Ishu's jiju and tutor's Raman and Shagun's son Adiš
Adi is Shagun and Raman's son who lives with Shagun under Ashok's roof
Ashok is Raman's business rival, is engaged to Shagun and falling all over Mihika and older brother of Surajš³
Suraj is Ashok's younger brother, came to town with a bad attitude but had a bone to pick with Ishita and Raman, warns Ashok that Shagun and Adi are using him, he angling to get rid of Shagun and Adi from Ashok's life.š
There will be plots aplenty and innocent parties will get hurt if they are not alert to what's coming their way. Bhallas have to stay a few steps ahead to upstage Khanna and Khurana in their kaminey khel.š¤
My chunk of beef: I have an issue with the action/behavior...no matter who did it. The way Ishu explained when Param showed up was not a welcome surprise nor was it respectful to announce to them after the smug Param was already on their doorstep "I invited him apni marzi se". The senior Bhallas and Raman deserved to know her plans before the vile man showed up at their door the next morning. While she's chatting with Raman in their room, Mr. & Mrs. Bhallas are still in the dark about what's going on. That's not good in my book.šš¼ After all Bhallaji is the head of the family and it's his home.š³
