Batata Paav and Batata Pawa are two different things.

Batata paav is batata wada sandwich in baps/cobs/rolls with red chutney (garlic one), green chutney (corriander/cilantro) and amli/imli/tamarind chutney.

Batata pawa is pawa (rice flakes) and potatoes. If you like onions then chop them and saute in cooking oil using rai (mustard seed) and jeera (cumin) plus limdo (green curry patta). add small pieces of potatoes and cook slowly so that base of pot does not burn. add salt to taste, haldi (turmeric powder), crushed green chillies to taste. when potatoes are cooked, add the pawa and lemon juice. Garnish with cilantro. Stir and simmer for a minute or two. (note: wash the pawa. To do this soak pawa for a minute and then drain in collander). I think if you look up in google, it will give you receipe.

@amrita. How many types of pawa you get in USA. Here we have 3 types (nylon/thin, medium and thick). we use medium
