8. REALIZATIONS
*Flashback starts*
For the next 15 days in office.
Durga- dada yeh chaterjee nahi aaye kya aj bhi? Who kaam tha inn papers ka.
Dada- sun ne me aya sahib barish me bheege toh jwar se peedit hai babua tab se.
A man shouts from other table-
Arre barish ke jwar se ya prem rog se?
Durga become uncomfortable. Yes this was the talk of the town now.
Succumbing to her pangs of anxiety durga found out anmol's address and headed to his home.
Anmol's house
Lady- dewar ji koi aurat aayi hain daftar se. ji aaiye na.
Anmol- ji bhabhi. Bhej de
Durga- ji yeh phal unke liye.
Anmol- arre durga tum?
Bhabhi- main chai le aati hoon.
Durga- kaisi tabiyat hain aap ki? Main jaanti hoon uss din jo hua theek nahi tha.
Anmol- jo bhi ho main aj bhi apni baat par kaayam hoon. Balki aj kuch aur poochna chahta hoon - shaadi karogi mujhse?
Durga is about to answer when bhabhi comes with tea.
After having tea
Durga- dhanyabaad bhabhi. Mujhe chalna chahiye ab.
Bhabhi- aap itni durr se aayi koi kaam se hi ayi hogi na?
Durga- haan me toh bhul hi gayi. Ye kuch file hain mr.chaterjee. bas ek baar dekh lijiyega.
Bhabhi smirks. Durga leaves.
Anmol takes the files inside. He opens the top one and finds a handwritten note.
"daftar ke baad, paas wale ilaake wale kali maa ke mandir pe intezaar karungi. Agar jawaab chahiye toh aa jaye."
Anmol resumes his work next day. Durga leaves and anmol follows after 15 min.
At the temple
Anmol- kya kehna hai durga? Main jaanta hoon mana hi karogi.
Durga- mana karna hota toh aapke ghar kabhi nahi aati.
Anmol- toh tumhe manzoor hain?
Durga- meri kuch sharte h.
Anmol- bolo
Durga- pehli yeh ki shaadi ke baad bhi main naukri karungi. Dusri yeh ki meri har mahine ki aadhi tankhwah matlab dhai hazaar maayke jayegi. Teesri yeh chahe samaj humaare sambandh ko sehemati de ya na de hum yeh rishta puri shraddha se nibhayenge.
Anmol- haan mujhe yeh teeno shartein manzoor hain.
Durga- par aapka parivar?
Anmol- maa baba to nahi hain sirf bhabhi aur dada hain. Unki chinta na karo. Main unhe sambhaal loonga.
At anmol's house
Anmol- ab jab aapne baatein sun hi li thi toh mere kuch kehne se kaun sa sach jhoot hone wala hai.
Anmol's brother- naukri tumhe rozgaar ke liye kahi thi rang ralliyan manane ko nahi.
Anmol- iss rishte se burayi kya hai? Umar me mujhse choti hain, naukri karti hai, ghar baithe muft ki roti nahi todegi.
Bhabhi- koi mauka mat chodna mujhe taana dene se. dekh le aap ye izzat h meri iss ghar mein. Ab kamane wali murgi mil gayi toh mera haal toh kutta bhi nahi puchega.
Anmol- bhabhi baat aisi nahi hain.
Anmol's brother- kitna kamaati hain?
Anmol- dhai hazaar har maah.
Bhabhi- aapne apni pehli shaadi ka bataya toh hain na usse?
Anmol- haan bhabhi bataya hain. Ye bhi kaisi uski maut huyi aur main kis kadar tanha ho gaya tha.
Bhabhi- ek kaam kare kal usse le aaye ghar kal.
*flashback ends*
Anika- W*F. Matlab anmol ne sabko double cross kiya. How cheap.
Jai- who knows shayad uska intention accha ho. I mean owing to what conditions durga had posed, anmol ki kya uss zamaane ki koi family durga ko accept nahi karti.
Anika- yeah, but pehli shaadi.. who kyun chipayi?
Jai- anyways, listen we have to go to a party. Kabir ke ghar. He's home.
Anika- ohh par kis khushi mein?
Jai- uska birthday hain. Chalo its gonna be fun. Sab college ke dost mil rahe hain. Kinda reunion??
Anika- okay, I'll be ready.
In the evening
Kabir's home
Kabir- whoa, thank god tum dono aa gaye. I was least expecting you both. See all are here danny, susan, ria, suyash... please make yourselves comfortable. Main dusre guests ko attend karta hoon tab tak.
Anika(whispers)- yeh susan kyun aayi hai?
Jai- puri batch aayi hain ani aur wo toh kabir ki best friend hain.
Anika- best or special?
Jai- gosh!! Don't temme u hate her even today??
Anika- u know me jai, ek baar dushman toh..
Jai- saari umar dushman. You are very loyal actually.
Anika- its good for health.
Jai-kya? Dushmani?
Anika- no, loyalty. Jao bula rahi hain tumhari special friend.
Jai greets susan.anika is very uncomfortable with the proximity they share.
Susan- dance jai?
Jai- oh sure why not...
He hands over his phone to anika.
Anika goes to have drink.
Jai's phone rings.
Anika- hi.. roy... Kaise ho?
Roy- ani. M fine. Mujhe ye batao tum dono ka baa rahe ho? Iss gende ne jaan kha rakhi hain. Naa tum resign karti aur naa yeh sab hota. Jai kaha hain?
Anika- maahol ko purani yaadon se garam kar raha hain..
Roy- koi crush???
Anika- hmmm. Par baat kya hain?
Roy- pata nahi iss ullu ke patthe ne kya kaha hain boss se ki usne tum dono ko permission toh de di par ab meri jaan kha raha hain.
Anika-daal me kuch kaala hain.
Roy- chalo bye n jai ko bata mujhe phone kare.
Anika- yup.
Anika stares at the dance floor.
