DD the roots of caste system is so strong gone so deep down into the earth, it is really difficult to uproot it. Even if we are ready to accept it openly for others, when it comes to your own family, it affects really. It is really difficult to accept it with open arms. Its not the caste but it is the values followed by 2 different backgrounds which will be poles apart.

5. A DIFFERENT STORY

Jai- shukar hain, chutkara mila aj nani se. kya khaogi?

Anika- bol toh aise rahe ho jaise tum meri taste jaante nahi.

Jai- confirm karna chahta tha mein. Kahi nani ne koi jadu tona to nahi kar diya.

Anika- kya keh rahe ho.

Jai- sahi toh bol raha hoon ani, jab se yaha aayi ho u really sound weird. Pehle se hi aisi thi ya phir bindiya ne kiya koi sitam? I mean how strange it is, pehle khud baccho ko apnaya, bada kiya, aur shaadi ho gayi toh sab bhoola bhi diya.

Anika- isme kya ajeeb hain? Yeh toh aaj bhi hota hain. Bas log ise chupakar rakhte hain duniya se.

Jai- phew chalo order aa gayi.

Anika- so khana kaisa hain?

Jai- tumne banaya hain? Mujhe maloom nahi tha ki tum yaha part-time job karti ho chef ka.

Anika- courtesy ke liye pucha jai. Ab but obvious mere saath yaha meri nani ke ghar aaye ho toh guest hi huye na humaare.

Jai shockingly asks her- matlab?

Anika- oh god look at your face man. Iss kadar shock me ho jaise tumhe terrorist bol diya ho. Accha pay main karungi haan aj.

Bill please.

The waiter comes with a bill that has a message scribbled on the tissue.

"WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

Anika looks at jai.

Jai- am sorry ani, I thought..

Anika- tumne yeh socha bhi kaise jai? Yaar maine tujhe dost ke ilawah aur kuch nahi samjha. Please jai. I know we know each other since childhood. Humari tastes similar hain, profession ek hain, likes dislikes sab ek jaise hain infact we are duplicates. But don't you think aisi relation mein differences bhi matter karte hain?

Jai- its good na atleast typical miyaan biwi jaise hum jhagdenge toh nahi. Atleast ma pa jaise toh nahi.

Anika- u don't get it. Kisi bhi relation me balance hona bahot important Hain. And this works only when something between the two is different. Am sorry jai but no.

Anika leaves from there while jai is absorbed in his own world.

*flashback starts*

Anika and jai as kids.

They are playing cricket in the balcony.

A sound interrupts in their game.

Jai- its ma and pa.

Anika notices jai's sad face and asks him to come at her place.

Anika's mom- aa jao beta, baitho main toh awaz lagaane hi wali thi. Accha hain jo pados me rehte ho. Bas khana abhi lag jayega.

After lunch

Anika- jai, am your friend na?

Jai- no, you are my best friend.

They both hug each other.

In college

Anika- yeh ullu yaha kya kar raha hain?

Anika- hey.

Jai- aa baith peeche.

Anika- kahi jana hain?

Jai- yeah my treat.

Anika- kyun? Ab kya liya? Bike kit oh de chuke tum.

Jai- surprise hain.

At a caf

Jai- two cappuccino and cheese pizza. Please quick.

Anika- ab toh batao kya hua h?

Jai- order toh aane de.

Anika- seedha seedha kehte bhook lagi hain. Jhoot bolne ki kya jarurat.

Jai- whatever..

Their order comes.

Anika (stirring the coffee)- ab toh bolo.

Jai- kya?

Anika- kis baat ki treat? Aur ab tang na karo warna chal doongi seedha baahir.

Jai- not bad, journalism ka asar hi sahi. Urdu seekhna shuru kar diya. Ma pa ka divorce ho gya.

Anika spills the coffee out of her mouth.- what?

Jai- isme kya hairaani. Acchi baat hain meri jaan chuti uss nark se.

Anika- so now?

Jai- nothing much. Am shifting my base.

Anika glares at him- aur jaoge kaha?

Jai- please yaar baccha nahi hoon. Kabir ki room h na.

Anika- reh paoge akele?

Jai- koi doubt h tumhe?

After few years.

TEZ KHABAR office

Anika chalte chalte kisi se takraati hain.

Anika- am so sorry.. tum?? Mera peecha toh nahi kar rahe?

Jai- tum kya miss universe ho jo tumhara peecha karta phirunga. Yeh

khud ko importance dena band kar do tum. Job ke liye aaya hoon yaha.

Anika- yaha news bikti hain tumhari models ki bikni nahi.

Jai- o madam, photography shauk hain mera but you dunno journalism

kiya hain maine correspondence se that too with merit.

*flashback ends*

jai- kaise bataaon ani tumhara hi peecha karta aya hoon main. I thought jaise bachpan me tumhari ek hug se mera darr durr ho jaata tha waise zindagi bhar hoga. Par mujhe kya pata tha tumhari choices mujhse itni alag hain. Maine aj tak kabhi pray nahi kiya. But today I really wish ki tum apna decision change karo.

A sweet update. Loving Anika more n more. This update changed my impression of Jai. 😊

arraey yaar, ithni sad story for Jai? Poor boy had to digest so much as a child. I so feel like let me pray with him so that Anika changes her mind. but yes, in reality it is difficult to get a steady relationship with a boy from disturbed background as he will be relating very move of their life with his past.
