PART 2He was keenly staring at her
chanduji. He felt calmer. The wind coming on his face through the window and the glow of the night sky helped him to collect himself.
He had a lot to do after all !"Tum yahaan ho.. aur hum tumhe niche dhund rahe the" Chakor chirped coming into the room.
Suraj turned sharply at that. For a moment Chakor was taken aback. "What's wrong with him?" She wondered.
"Accha chhodo wo sab,tum yun achanak party se chale kyun aaye? Chalo humare sath, sab tumhare baare mei puchh rahe hein". She held his hand and turned to go expecting him to come along but when he didn't budge,she slowly looked back to their joined hands and then to his face.
Chakor was never this scared in her whole life,not even when she thought she married the wrong guy. But she was scared now, looking at Suraj staring back at her, with stone eyes and cold expression which she couldn't quite decipher.
"Kya hua Suraj? Sab theek hei na?"
He wanted to laugh out loud(sarcastically ofcrse!).
"Kuchh theek nahi hein" his answered in his brain.
"Sab theek hone Wala hei Chakor" his mouth replied. She flinched unknowingly at his tone.
"Hum parson Mumbai ja rahe hein chakor". "Humesha ke liye" he added after a pause.
Chakor felt her world crashing down. He was leaving her? Why?
"Mumbai? Ye achanak Mumbai kyun jaana hei tumhe? Aur humesha ke liye? Ye kaisi utataang batein kar rahe ho. Dekho Suraj hume aisi majak bilkul pasand nahi hein"
She could feel her eyes welling up and her voice cracking a bit. She wished it to be one of his god-damn-jokes but it it wasn't. Her husband was leaving her forever and why? She didn't have an ounce of idea about that. Wow!! What a celebration for her Marathon win!!
"Hum koi majak nahi kar rahe hein Chakor. Humara naya factory jo abhi Mumbai mei set up hua hei usme kuchh problems aa rahe hein,toh hume jaana padega. Hum wahin se sab kaam sambhalenge ab" he said not meeting her eyes.
Whom he thought he could fool? Her? If there was only one person who knew him inside out then it has to be her. She could clearly see he was lying.
"Jhut bolna band karo Suraj. Jab tak tum hume sachhai nahi bataoge hum tumhe kahin nahi jaane denge. Samjhe tum?" Her voice trembled and tears made their way out of her eyes.
Yet again he was the reason for her tears. He thought sadly.
"Hum sachh hi Keh rahe hein. Aur tumhe itna farak kyun pad raha hei? Tumhe toh woh mil raha hei jo tumhe humesha se chahiye tha, azaadi. Humse." He added.
Now what does that mean? Couldn't he see her state? Does he still think that she wants him out of her life?
Suraj Rajvanshi is the dumbest person on earth."Kal hi lawyer divorce papers leke aane Wala hei. Ek baar hum dono sign karlein phir hum tum humesha ke liye azaad ho jaogi" he forced a bitter smile.
That was the last straw. Chakor covered the distance between them in merely 3 steps and BANG!!
Suraj held his hand across his cheek shocked. Before he could further react anything she pulled him towards herself, shaking him violently by his collar. "Who do you think you are? Masihaa ho tum jo hume azaadi dilaoge? Kaya Humne maangi thi tumse ye so-called azaadi jo tum itne meherbaan ho rahe ho hum par? Tumhari himmat bhi kaise hui hume divorce dene k baare mei sochne ki? Pagal ho gaye ho?" She spat angrily. Her eyes red with anger and tears.
"Haan ho gaye hein pagal,suna tumne? Hum pagal ho gaye hein" he shouted freeing himself from her hold. "Aur tumhare liye accha yahi hoga ki tum humse dur raho". His voice dangerously low. He turned his back towards her.
That was when she realized it. Her eyes went wide and a lump formed in her throat.
"Hum samajh gaye Suraj. Tum humse isliye dur Jana chhte ho kyunki tum aaj bhi Imli se pyaar karte ho. Hei na?"
Of course!! she thought. How had she even thought that he might love HER? He has always loved imli and always will. She has no place in his heart or life. She tried a lot to stop crying and show this man that she was okay. But she just couldn't. She couldn't pretend like it didn't hurt her when it did like hell! She felt like thousands of pins were simultaneously being pricked in her heart.
Suraj turned to face her bewildered.
"Dimaag kharab ho gaya hei tumhara? Tumhe lagta hein hum aaj bhi Imli se pyaar karte hein jabki humne kabhi usse pyaar Kiya hi nahi. Hum maante hein ke hume uski bohat fikar thi, ab bhi hei, lekin Sirf ek dost k naate. Ab jab hume pata chal Chuka hei ke pyaar Kise kete hein toh hum ye yakeen k saath Keh sakte hein ke hume imli se kabhi bhi pyaar nahi tha. Na tab, na ab." Suraj finished in a breath.
Listening this Chakor was somewhat relieved. But her question was still unanswered. "Toh phir kya wajah hei Suraj? Koi aur hei kya tumhari zindagi mein?" She shuddered at the thought.
Suraj angrily pulled her by her shoulders. "Humari zindagi mei Sirf ek hi ladki hei aur wo ho tum" she felt goosebumps all over her body.
Suraj moved back from her nd smiled sadly.
"Khusi nahi ho rahi tumhe apne dushman ko aise dekh kar? Hume aise tadapte hue dekh kar tumhe sukoon nahi mil raha?"
"Dushman?" Chakor asked astonished. "Tum humare dushman nahi ho Suraj" Chakor stated shaking her head vehemently.
"Toh phir hum tumhare liye kya hein Chakor?" He asked softly gazing into her eyes. "Tum humesha se chahti thi na ke hume saza mile, dekho hume humari sazaa mil rahi hein. Kyunki hume usse pyaar ho gaya hei jo kabhi humari nahi ho sakti. Aur wo ladki tum ho Chakor.
Sirf tum."
Chakor suddenly stopped crying due to the revelation. Her breath hitched in her throat and eyes locked with his.
"Paagalon ki tarah pyaar karte hein tumse Chakor. I love you more than I love myself." He said looking into her eyes and she could feel the truth in his eyes.
"Ek wo waqt tha Chakor jab hum tumhari aankhon mein sirf aanshu dekhna chahte the. Aur ab hum usse jaan se maar dalna chahte hein jiski wajah se tumhari aankhon mein aanshu aaye."
A tremor ran throughout her body at his words.
"Hum tumhare chehre pe sirf khusi dekhna chahte hein Chakor ur uske liye hume tumse dur jaana hoga. Tum hamare sath kabhi Khush nahi rahogi
kyunki tum humari nahi ho Chakor " A drop of tear came out of his eye. Suraj knew he was on the verge of breaking down.
Chakor felt miserable seeing his state. She gently cupped his face and looked in his eyes. "
Hum sirf tumhare hein Suraj,sirf tumhare" chakor stated slowly giving him time to process her words."Humne kabhi tumhe ye jataaya nahi hein lekin iss pure duniya mein hum sabse jyaada bharosa tum par karte hein..pata hei kyun? Kyunki hum tumse bohat pyaar karte Suraj, bohat jyaada. Itna, ke hume pata hei tumhare bina humari saasein hi tham jaayegi...humari dil ki dhadkan hi ruk jaayegi agar tum humse dur chale gaye toh". She was sobbing now hardly able to control her emotions. He pressed his hands on hers which were resting on his cheeks and closed his eyes to let her words sink in.
After what felt like eternity,he opened his eyes and distanced himself from her.
"Ek baar phir sochlo Chakor. If you want me I will give you all of myself but I will expect the same from you. I can't and I won't share you with anyone. You will be mine,only mine. Every second,every minute,every hour of everyday. I am not an easy person to be with but once you choose to be with me, I wouldn't allow you to leave me...ever". By the time he finished, she shivered involuntarily. The passion in his eyes scared her. She knew his love would be consuming but she wanted to drown in it. Her love was no less either. With determined steps, she covered the distance.
"I love you with all my being and I promise...I wouldn't leave you even if you want me to,ever."
His eyes became dark as she saw the desire that flashed in them,which matched it's own. He pulled her by a hand on her waist and cupped her face. As if on cue, she ran his hands up his body. When his lips met hers, she felt heaven. This felt so good in real than in her dream.
Her first kiss with the man she loves with all her heart. He pulled her closer and her hands found their way in his hair. All their emotions,the longing, the desire and the love, all were poured into the kiss.
They pulled back when they felt the need of oxygen. Chakor blushed a scarlet realizing what had transpired. He smiled kissing her forehead.
They knew they would have to cross many hurdles but they also knew they will stand by each other's side.
Life is not a fairytale after all!!But together they would win every challenge life will throw at them.
