Yes its true that we are again allowing members to put Banner Signatures but with a Twist.
Well as we all know that all the members are not on high-speed internet and many of us visit the site through Dial-up especially people in India (though DSL and Cable internet is picking up) so sometimes Video Avatars and Banner signatures (which is normally 150kb or even more) really makes the site slow to open and takes a lot of bandwidth.
So now for people who have limited monthly data transfer allowed or slower net speed its now easier for them too browse India Forums due to the new feature.
Confused 😕? What is it?
Now the individual member have the option whether he wants to see the Video Banner and banner signatures.
You will notice a new option "Show Video Avatars + Banner Signatures" in your Profile Settings under Forum Prefences which is set to No by default but if you like you can always enable it.
Please Note: The signature file should not break the formatting of the page and nor should be very large. Moderators if you come across such a signature please send a PM to the user immediately.
