Nausheen Ali Sardar to replace Prachi

It seems like just yesterday when we reported that Prachi Desai put in her papers at Balaji Telefilms. But now it all seems to be happening and fast. Her last shoot as Bani is scheduled for April 3 but there still isn't a peep out of the go-getting Ekta Kapoor as to who will be stepping into Desai's shoes.

Well, we finally have the names of three of short listed candidates! As reported by Mumbai Mirror, the three girls in the race to achieve Bani's credentials are Nausheen Ali Sardar (Kkusum ofKkusum), Pallavi Kulkarni (Karishma of Kehta Hai Dil) and Gurdeep Kohli (Dr Juhi of Sanjivni).

Says a source, "All three are equally talented. While Nausheen Ali has patched up with Ekta after she did the special episode of Kuch Is Tarah, Gurdeep and Balaji have been keen to work together since a long time. Above all, Pallavi who is thin and tall like Prachi resembles the original Bani to some extent."

Prachi is currently shooting for Ritesh Siddhwani and Farhan Akhtar's film Rock On but will be shooting her final scene on April 3. The new actress who will be playing Bani will be selected later on this week. Until then we're just going to have to keep guessing.
