Translation :
(Sita's friends sing to her :)
Upon the Lotus-eyed Ram, who is your chosen beloved,
Place the garland of Victory. Oh Sita, garland him with Victory.
Raghuvar Ram is before you. Dont waste this precious moment.
Oh Sita, place the garland of Victory on Shri Ram.
Why are your feet adorned with such bashfulness
That they hesitate to take you to Shri Ram ?
Why can you not lift a garland made with flowers,
when your beloved Ram has lifted the mighty Shiv-dhanush ?
This Jayamaalaa is a symbol of victory.
Place it on Ram and conquor his heart.
Oh Sita, place the garland of Victory on Shri Ram.
(Sita says to her friends :)
The treasure of my eyes (Shri Ram) stands in front of me
My eyes need to believe what they really are seeing.
I have waited for this sweet moment for ages.
I need a moment to realise that this is really happening !
Friends to Sita:)
Then Oh Sita, dispell your doubts, and dont delay.
Place the garland of Victory on Shri Ram.
(Narrator:)
Her heart threaded amongst the flowers of the garland,
Sita proceeds to the arena to meet Shri Ram.
Lakshmi goes towards Shri Vishnu
just as the chakor bird enamoured by the moon goes towards it.
The auspicious moment of the garlanding has come.
Let us sing auspicious songs with joy.
Let us behold the divine couple of Shri Ram and Sita,
and let our lives be blessed.
May our lives be fulfilled by this divine moment.
