Fans vs. Favorites Survivor: Micronesia cast revealed!

As previously announced, Survivor 16 will be introduce yet another new twist: rather than rely on a played-out All-Star season (who could top the Romber hook-up, really?), CBS is introducing fans vs. favourites.

Ten of the biggest self-confessed fans of the hit reality show will face-off against 10 of their heroes when the new season kicks off Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. ET.

Dying to know who made the cut?

New Players:

Michael Bortone, 34: a writer/actor from Los Angeles
Tracy Hughes-Wolf, 43: a commercial builder from Virginia
Joel Anderson, 32: a firefighter from Arizona
Kathleen Sleckman, 45: a golf course vendor from Illinois
Erik Reichenback, 22: an ice cream scooper from Michigan
Mary Sartain, 29: a small buisness owner from California
Chet Welch, 48: a beauty pageant coach from Pennsylvania
Natalie Bolton, 32: a personal trainer from California
Jason Siska, 22: a student teacher from Illinois
Alexis Jones, 24: a motivational speaker from Beverly Hills

Returning Players:

Cirie Fields, 37: Panama (winner, Aras)
Jonathan Penner, 45: Cook Islands (winner, Yul)
Amanda Kimmel, 23: China (winner, Todd)
James Clememnt, 30: China
Ozzy Lusth, 26: Cook Islands
Yau-Man Chan, 55: Fiji (winner, Earl)
Eliza Orlins, 25: Vanuatu (winner, Chris)
Jon Dalton (Jonny Fairplay), 33: Pearl Islands (winner, Sandra)
Parvati Shallow, 25: Cook Islands
Ami Cusack, 34: Vanuatu

No contestants from Palau or Guatemala will be participating. The thought process behind this was in part due to the fact that Stephanie LaGrossa and Bobby Jon Drinkard participated in both seasons, and according to Entertainment Weekly, Tom Westman, the winner of Palau was asked to participate and declined. He was the only previous winner invited back.

Unfortunately Coby Archa and Gary Hogeboom, two memorable characters respectively from Palau and Guatemala reportedly weren't asked.

Jonny Fairplay, who notoriously faked his grandmother's death to win the visit from home challenge in Pearl Islands, is the earliest contestant to return to the game.
