From what i remember, he said that his father had actually played the saxophone for that song, but he never got the credit for it. Angered by this, ID promised himself that he would get back by becoming famous one day and make his father proud.

Naturally, his fathers name will not be mentioned anywhere for that song, since as ID mentioned he never got credit for the song. Who know's what is the actual truth? The world is ful of lies, why blame only Id for it, just because he speaks straight? I find this absurd.

As far as I am concerned, we are discussing him because he ia mentor of SRGMP, he is the tue mentor in every sense, since he works hard with his students and also fights for them when necessary. Gharanas are made for a purpose and it is very mentor's duty to support people of their gharana unlike Himesh, who was the cause for the ouster of his students in favour of mauli.

It is true for every era. If we dissect each single musician or singer then we will find so many such truths. Then as the years pass they become legends and command respect and then have the audacity to say that in their time everyone respected other unlike today's youngsters. Ofcourse fans will defend those legends.
I don't deny that there have been instances and occurrences in the past where music industry has have their pitfalls but in the present day rat race with so much viable media attention .... people often have resorted to cheap tactics, stunts and publicities. No one can deny that ... every other day on every other news channel, we see a whole lot of slandering going on and on ... especially in the film and music industry. Things have only gotten worse, more murkier and more worse ... that's the bottomline.
Blame it on media for exposing them. The truth is mindset is still the same which was existent in the 40s and 50s and so on. Jealousy, competition, backstabbing all were and still are part and parcel of Music industry.

And Mauli was not part of the round where she was eliminated.
Some of your arguments are so contradictory. On one end, you say he should support his contestant instead of Mauli. And when he does support Jyoti and says her elimination is unfair, then you jump on him for being disrespectful to the judge. Ek baat ko pakdo yaar. Flip-flopping kaise chalegi.

i mean ID was so quick to take off like a rocket when she actually impressed the first time. he's also so quick to come up with his dialogues putting his contestants down. so what gives here? did he really like mauli or what? i mean, all of a sudden "uskee boltee band ho gayee" or did he actually find that good singing? either way, something to be said about him

Accha and how does VS comment? Mauli, you know that I like you a lot but this time.....It looks like they don't want to offend Mauli. If Mauli was out then we would have seen her in Bhrahmastra round courtesy VS.
It is not ID but the "legends" who keep her in the show because audience ne jyaada taali maari.

would appreciate your not characterizing member's positions based on your limited understanding/ logic. and it is very limited If you are digging something from the past, provide a context. dont just go making wild statements for the heck of it. When you make personal type statements, you sure do open it up. i have no problem with either
incidentally, nothing contradictory in what i have ever said. i detest his style, or rather lack of it. not the kind of behavior one needs to show-case. not a good role model to kids. do we want to encourage people walking off, throwing tantrums, passing cheap comments? i had that issue earlier with rawal and have more of it with ID. tell me, do you understand the difference between classy ways of showing disagreement and his kind of behavior?
