Rules for Indian Idol 6 Members

Friends, Please take sometime to read out these rules before start posting in this section.

All non musical topics will require a consent or approval from the II Dev team before being opened. Any such topic if found opened without the permission of the Dev team will be trashed immediately without any notice to the member. Non adherence to the rule can lead to warning as well. (This doesnt include discussing performances or style of performance of contestants - When discussing the contestants singing members can also discuss about their performance/style which is not related to music but part of the performance they gave on stage)
Please be reminded reminded not to turn any discussion thread into a personal chat room, we are here for fun and for that reason we allow a bit of random chit chat on topics to bring humor to the forum. As long as its not taken overboard random chat is fine on topics, but if the section turns to a chat room, we may have to bring an end to the random chat in topics.
It has been seen that at times, the same article or interview gets posted many a times in a day by different members. So, before you post an article, check the last couple of pages to make sure it has not been posted before. Please avoid redundancy. Such articles will be trashed by the Dev Team without any notice.
Please do not open threads to voice issues on the section functioning or any issue which you find is not right. Neither you will start such issues in discussion topics,discussion topics are meant for discussion only you will not be allowed to voice issues in such threads against the forum or dev team as well. If you have any such issue, kindly contact the Dev Team and get it sorted out. Such threads or replies will not be entertained and trashed immediately.
Please avoid making posts that is abusive, derogatory, insulting or sarcastic enough to affect the sentiment of another member. Such posts will be dealt with very strictly. Also for such posts members are being asked to use report button and not create a scene on the open forum. Members doing that will also be dealt sticktly. No topic can be such that only some particular set of members can post. Every member has the right to post in any topic they want to just that the post should adhere the rules of IF.
Do not spam Birthday, welcome or goodbye threads. Such Topics are allowed but just for the purpose of it only.

Do not quote the long posts. It makes the pages look messy. Quote only the portion you want to comment on.

Please do not post articles that are not music related. For filmy articles, there is a Bollywood section. Let's stick only to the musical part. 
While discussing the episodes, please stick to the singing and performance of the participants. Please be reminded to post in your replies in a way that members or contestants don't get hurt or offended. Do not even make comments that can instigate a fight. Anyone found not following this rule will be dealt with very strictly.
Do NOT attack the judges, show directors, participants or fellow members. You can comment on their comments or expressions, but DO NOT get personal. 
If any of you find any thread or post not to your liking DO NOT retaliate here or start a fight. Make use of the 'REPORT' button and let us know. We are here to solve the issues, please allow us to do so.
Profanity is a strict 'NO NO'  in this section, we do not wish to see any harsh, insulting, abusive or slang words used here. ANYONE using profane or abusive language here will face strict action from the Dev Team. 
Do not start threads inquiring about show updates or videos. Updaters have been already selected who will do the job regularly. Show updates or videos will surely get posted. So, please have a little patience. Such threads will be trashed without any notice. 
DO NOT post videos of the shows sourced from other forums. Videos of the shows will be posted ONLY by the selected videobies. Others please do not do it. 
There is a "help desk" thread as sticky. Please post your questions there, if you have any show related ones. Someone will surely reply to you. Here is the link: II4 Suggestions/Help Desk   For technical problems members can get in touch with any Dev Team member through PM.
Fan clubs are not allowed here. There is a section dedicated to Fan clubs. Should you want to open a fan club , please do so, but NOT here, open it at the following section :  Celebrity Fan Clubs.
Personal pictures/videos of contestants/Judges/Members are not allowed from sites like orkut/hi5/facebook. Pictures/Videos on such sites are there personal collection and they shouldn't be posted on public forums.
Do not open threads degrading the show Indian Idol, Constructive Criticism is fine regarding the show or contestants but insulting/attacking will not be tolerated.Comparison of Indian Idol with other shows are not allowed, neither comparison between Contestants will be allowed.
Please be reminded that if you do not have more to say on Pics/Videos/Articles Posts, press the "Thank You" Button rather than replying with "Thank You", "TFS", "Thanks for Sharing" or any other such replies that comes under this category which is also considered as spamming.
Please do not bring regionlism issues into discussions, also please keep in mind that you are not allowed to bring in age, gender of members to discussions.

1. When the show enters to Piano Round and Gala Rounds, there will be elimination every week - Please be reminded that if you get info about the eliminations in advance before members watched or read the update always write Topic Title as "Spoiler - today's elimination", not all members want to know who is eliminated before they watch the episode and we should respect it as well, so its better that we do not write in topic title who is eliminated, in that way those who wishes not to know can always ignore such topics.
   

All members are requested to read the rules and follow it. Non adherence can result in getting a warning.
