AANCHAL KHURANA
Place: E-46, Saket Nagar, Indore
Tidbit: Her family runs a bakery. No one had anything to do with music. Then Aanchal came along, blessed with a voice that was as sweet as the icing on chocolate cake, baked by her grandfather. She has given up her MBA course for ASVOI.
IRA SHARMA
Place: 343, 103-Scheme, Keshar Bagh Road, Indore
Tidbit: No one in Ira's family has learnt music. Thanks to her father, who spotted her musical talent. She began learning Hindustani Classical Music. Now, she is working hard to make her father's dream come true. Looks like she's on the road already as Aadesh Shrivastava has promised to make her sing one of his compositions.
KARISHMA KINI
Place: 2, Tukaram Niketan, Bhagat Road, Mahim, Mumbai-16
Tidbit: She had come to Indore to attend a cousin's wedding when she saw the audition promos for ASVOI on Star Plus. She decided to try her luck and succeeded. Aadesh Shrivastava was so impressed with her, when she sang 'Baghban' on stage, that he came up on stage to bless her. Karishma has been learning classical music and her parents who are clueless about music, have been learning from her.
ANIRUDH BHOLA
Place: 453, Napier Town, Gorakhpur, Jabalpur MP
Tidbit: Lady Luck was on Anirudh's shoulder on the day of the audition, which is probably why he made it into the show. According to the judges, his performance had many errors but what sailed him through to the studio round was his natural talent. Abhijeet said that he had to be reprimanded a lot to come into form. Today, Anirudh is working very hard to win the hearts of the jury.
SUPRIYA PATHAK
Place: G2 - 206, Gulmohur Marg, Bharat Nagar, Bhopal MP
Tidbit: A BA Music student, she is a huge fan of music from the Golden Era. Each and every member of her family has been supportive of her interest in music. They all gathered at the audition and watched her performance with moist eyes. She realizes that she has a lot of expectations to live upto, a lot of dreams to make true.
SANCHARI BOSE
Place: 3-B, Janaki Nagar, Baldev Marg, Jabalpur
Tidbit: This 4' 11" wonder, with large innocent eyes, walked up on stage during her audition & left the judges speechless. She sang "Hawa Hawai" without blinking her long lashes or shaking her head. When asked how she could sing such a mastibhara gaana without shaking her head, she said, 'Sar hilane se, sur hil jaate hai.' Nothing matters to her except music.
