DHIRENDRA RAISINGHANIYA (Vikram Gokhale)
He heads one of the largest and successful corporate houses, with varied interests in textiles, auto industries,
retail, telecommunications and construction. But what drives him is the
print media, especially because of the power, credibility and the
control it gives him. With a shrewd business mind, he uses his
newspaper 'Dainik Darpan' to make or break people, grant favours and
in?return extract his pound of flesh. While he is ruthless in business,
he is also a generous philanthropist and a kind father. However, his
stern outlook extends to all and he will not hesitate to use or
manipulate even his own family to suit his personal agenda.
VASUDHA RAISINGHANIYA (Smriti Irani)
She
is the eldest, is closest to her father. Vasudha is Dhirendra
Raisinghaniya's most loving daughter and his backbone in the business.
She is an integral part of his life, reminding him to take his morning
pill and organizing his daily appointments. Whether it's engagements or
signing important documents, Dhirendra Raisinghaniya depends on and
trusts only Vasudha. She readily performs her duties without
complaining and with an enviable energy, diligence and sincerity. The
fact that Vasudha is Dhirendra Raisinghaniya's illegitimate daughter
whom he acknowledged and accepted, has won him immense respect in her
eyes and for Vasudha, he is larger than life.
Chief Reporter SUSHANT SHARMA (Sushant Singh)
Chief
Reporter Sushant is the star journalist of 'Dainik Darpan', and is
known for his unbiased investigation and unshakable integrity. As part
of his job, he has cultivated a wide network of contacts
and has sources in politics, industry, crime and other fields. Sushant
is also a maverick and a rebel who is afraid of nothing and no one. He
is in love with Vasudha and she too adores him. Dhirendra Raisinghaniya
is aware of this relationship but has never questioned Sushant or
Vasudha and neither of them have had the courage to discuss it with him
since they don't want to face his disapproval.
PANDEY (Aanjjan Srivastava)
He
works for Danik Darpan & always keeps in resignation in his pocket.
After stealing file containing prof against Sinha from Sushant's cabin
he gives his resignation to Dhirendra who doesnot approve it &
tears it into pieces.
VEDIKA RAISINGHANIYA (Achint Kaur)
She
is almost the same age as Vasudha, but completely different. While
Vasudha is demure, Vedika is an alcoholic, unsteadily tottering from
hangover to hangover and boyfriend to boyfriend. She is her father's
worst critic and never misses a chance to hurt him by her blunt
statements. The reason behind her bitter and cold behaviour is the fact
that Dhirendra Raisinghaniya did not allow her to marry the man she
loved. In her naivety, she believes her father when he says that men
want to marry her only for the opportunity to get access to him, his
money and his power and not for what she is. She is shocked when she
finds out what Dhirendra did to Shalini & her father Pratap.
VEDANT RAISINGHANIYA (Karan Mehra)
The
only son of Dhirendra Raisinghaniya, Vedant is fun loving. He is
trapped in a fake case. Later on his innosence is proved & realises
that his father cares only of his status & not family. Vasudha is
Vedant's best friend with whom he shares his talk about his
girlfriends. At times, he feels bad Vasudha doesnot share talks about
her & Sushant's with him but with Dhariya.
SHREYA RAISINGHANIYA (Mihika Verma)
Vasudha is like a mother to Shreya who is innocent, intelligent, knows
her mind well but is also bit gullible. She is her dad's pet and like
all young and rich girls she is ultra glam and fun loving.
SINHA (Govind G. Namdeo)
Sinha is a powerful politician whose relationship with Dhirendra
Raisinghaniya goes back a long way. They share a mutual symbiotic
relationship as both have been instrumental in each other's success.
Sinha believes in leaving no stone unturned to attain power and fortify
his position. Both Sinha and Dhirendra have one common opponent:
Sushant.
VIRENDAR RAISINGHANIYA (Mohan Bhandari)
Virendar Raisinghaniya is Dhirendra's younger brother. He has two sons,
Rudraksh and Dhairya. Though he is affectionate, loving, gregarious and
cheerful, Virendar secretly nurses a bitter grudge against Dhirendra
who, he believes, cheated him of his rightful share in their father's
property. Virendar is biding his time and waiting for Dhirendra's fall
so he can eventually take over the business empire.
RUDRAKSH RAISINGHANIYA (Chetan Hansraj)
Rudraksh is an impatient young man who cannot tolerate the injustice
meted out to his father and family. He is always raring to get even
with Dhirendra Raisinghaniya but Virendar reins him in and tells him to
wait for the right time. Rudraksh hates Vasudha as she is Dhirendra's
shield.
DHAIRYA RAISINGHANIYA (Anand D. Suryavanshi)
Dhairya is a patient, soft spoken, gentle young man who is the complete
opposite of his elder brother Rudraksh. He stays out of the complicated
machinations that his father and brother get involved in and holds
Dhirendra and Vasudha Raisinghaniya in high esteem. In fact, Vasudha
and he are good friends.
DEVYANI (Ashwini Kalsekar)
She works in Dhirendra's newspaper
Dainik Darpan. Dhirendra used her when he needed her & then never
look back at her after reaching hieghts of success. Devyani is waiting
for that day when she can take revenge from Dhirendra for whatever he
did to her.
UTTARA (Aparna Mehta)
Sushant's
mother who knows what Dhirendra Raisinghaniya & Sinha did to
Shalini & her father Pratap.She blackmailes Dhirendra to get
Sushant & Vasudha get married or she will reveal his real face in
front of Vasudha.
PRATAP MALHOTRA
Shalini's father who was a victim
of a scandle which was plot against him by Dhirendra & Sinha. He
use to run an organisation names Sangini who use to fight against
injustice. He was accused of suppying girls under his organization. He
was not able to tolerate this & one night he commited sucide.
SHALINI MALHOTRA (Zarina Waheb)
Vasudha's mother who use to help her father in runnning an organisation
named Sangini along with teaching small kids. She use to write poetries
also. She is raped by Dhirendra Raisinghaniya & loses her mental
balance. Uttara took good care of her for 30 years. Has an accident
with Shreya's car & lands at Dhirendra's place.
VIKRAM AGARKAR (Anoop Soni)
Special investigation officer, Vikram Agarkar is basically an
upright, honest and no-nonsense kind of an inspector who investigates attack on Dhirendra Raisinghania.
ADITYA BHARDWAJ (Sameer Kocchar)
An industrialist who is also into social work.
Aditya is a long-lost college friend of Vasudha (Smriti) and they meet at a Seva
Ashram of which Aditya is a trustee. He starts taking an interest in her life & helps her get over her problems. He motivates her to face setbacks in life
and is like a shoulder for her to cry on. He is fun-loving as well as friendly guy who loves to flirt as well.
SANDHYA (Parivaa Pranati)
Sandhya, the love interest of Vedant who
is a simple middle class, marathi girl. She works at the
Raisinghania textile mills and is highly idealistic and strong headed -
just like her father who's the union leader at the Raisinghania textile
mill. She has been brought up by her father alone. She has her own set
of principles that she lives by. In Vedant's hour of need, when he
starts facing immense problems in business, she comes out to be the
only source of support that he has and thus a bond is created
between the two, which gradually become stronger.
SIDDHART (Sajit Bedi)
Siddhart, a big business tycoon plays the love interest for Shreya,
who meets her when she runs away from home due to the recent roller
coaster of events that happen in the Raisinghania family.
