Main Dhruv Ki Diwani Hoon- Chapter 36
Days go by, Dhruv has gone to Pune regarding some business work. Niharika seems to get on with her life and is happy with Rudra. Rahul is also getting on with his life..he's now started organising shows...(concerts) It's Rahul's own business field. He didn't want to join his dad in their family business and his parents didn't want to force him. So he's started organising shows. Vedika is the same old, a free bird, no work no tension. She is happy with her life. Naina and Kavita plan to get dhruv and vedika married in a few months time...and so basically everyone has moved on in life.
Vedika is up early one morning.She has a shower and then comes out. She decides to wear traditional salwar kameez. she is dressed up wearing a pink and blue colour salwar kameez. She comes downstairs. Naina and Rahul are shocked to see Vedika wearing salwar kameez. Rahul walks to her and feels her forehead.Vedika is like what are you doing.
Rahul: (looks at Naina) nahi bukaar to nahi hai.
Vedika: hello??? kya huwa??
Rahul: vedika?? tum teekh to hona...nahi mujhe lagta hai tumhe aaj araam karna chaheye..mujhe tumhari tabyat kuch teekh nahi lagrahe (looks at her up and down)
Vedika realises that Rahul is pulling her leg.
Vedika: rahul???????????????????????????? (rather frustrated)
Rahul laughs.
Rahul: ok ok sorry..ab jaldi karo..mujhe kaam par bhi jana hai...model finalise karne ke aaj last date hai
Vedika: oh ya..ok..
Vedika quickly eats something and then goes with rahul. They reach Rahu;'s work place. It's a big office which organises shows and also models products. Rahul comes in with Vedika. Vedika is sitting in Rahul's office, on his chair. She is messing around, meanwhile Rahul is in a meeting in the common room. He has a meeting with one of his clients. Rahul is showing them some models' pictures. They show no keen interest. Rahul looks worried as it is a big project. They want a model who has a traditional indian face, and indian look...a traditional women who will be the face of the year. Rahul looks worried. They give Rahul 2 days time to find such a model. They shake hands and they leave. On their way, they bump into Vedika. The clients are impressed by Vedika. They look at her traditional look and are impressed.
Vedika: (very sweet voice) sorry...
Clients just look at her and smile. Vedika smiles. Rahul comes.
Rahul: any problem??
Vedika: no bhaiya...bhaiya main hall mein jarahe hoon teekh hai...
Rahuk: haan tum chalo mein aata hoon
Vedika leaves.
Rahul: sorry about that...please come.
Clients: erm excuse me mr Rahul..who was that young lady??
Rahul: my sister..Vedika.
Clients: vedika?? (they look at each other and smile, they look at Rahul and shake his hand) mr rahul. hume vedika pasand hai..we want vedika to be the model modelling our product.
Rahul is shocked.
Rahul: what??
Clients: yes mr Rahul...your sister is indeed an indian beauty...she should be introduced into this modelling world...reali mr rahul you've got a true indian beauty at home..we would like her to model our product
Rahul: but???
Client:take your time mr rahul...think over it...vedika should be in the modelling industry she'd go realli far...but the decision is yourz..think about it and then contact us
Rahul: ok..thanks bye
They shake hands and leave. Rahul is thinking about what they said. He goes into his office and looks around. It has photos of Vedika. He stands there looking at them. There is a knock at the door.
Rahul:come in
Naina: rahul??
Rahul sees Naina,
Rahul: ma aap??
Naina: haan main..magar tum yahan kya karahe ho...hum sabh hall mein tumhara intezaar karahe hai..come on
Rahul: coming.
Rahul and Naina leave. Rahul tells Naina about what the clients said about Vedika and modelling. Naina is first shocked but then very happy. She thinks Vedika should do modelling as its an opportunity in a life time. Rahul is taken back. He says it's not for them to decide Vedika's life...Vedika can take the decisions herself and before that they should ask Dhruv and his family. Naina is taken back and says that there is no need as Vedika is still their daughter. She isn't yet married to Dhruv, and she doesn't see anything wrong in modelling. Rahul however disagrees and says that now we have no right over vedika...dhruv and his family should be left to decide. Naina is shocked. She thinks that this is stupid. She is very worried. She realises that if dhruv and his family say no then vedika will lose this golden opportunity and that vedika shouldn't lose such an opportunity as she is lucky to have received such an offer. Rahul however still disagrees and says he will talk to dhruv about it himself. They both reach the hall. There the models are practicing their catwalk. Suraj is also there he is organising the catwalk. Rahul walks upto Suraj.
Rahul: everything ok?
Suraj: hey rahul...haan sabh teekh hai...bas ab main model kaun hogi yeh tumhe decide karna hai
Rahul: (looking at some pictures) ya hmm give me a few minutes...main in photographs ko dekhlon phir batata hoon tumhe ke main model kaun hogi.
Suraj: sure take your time....(to the models) right girls one last time ok...
Models go back in and start the catwalk again. Vedika is there too. she thinks the show will be a hit. She sees Rahul and walks upto him.
Vedika: kya karahe ho?
Rahul: football khel raha hoon khelogi??
Vedika: rahul??
Rahul: photos dekh raha hoon aur kya??
Vedika: vo to mujhe bhi dekh raha hai..magar kyun??
Rahul: main model hasn't yet been finalised isliye...
Vedika: hmmm main madat karon??
Rahul: sure go ahead..
Vedika takes a look at the photos. she keeps making all these strange looking expressions as she goes along the pictures. Rahul laughs at it.
Vedika: bhaiya is mein koi abhi photo nahi hai
Rahul: i no but we have to chose one from here...we've not got that much time and all the other models have been finalised for the abroad shows. Sabh shows ki tyaari ho chukhe hai..magar yahan mumbai ke show ke koi tyaari nahi huwe....pata nahi ab kya hoga...
Vedika: don't worry bhaiya koi na koi model mil he jayegi..
Rahul: yeah hope so
Naina comes.
Naina: mil he jayegi kya matlab?? tum kyun ne karleti??
Vedika and Rahul are shocked.
Vedika: main??
Rahul: mom....
Naina: oh come on rahul...please ok..don't be stubborn...(to vedika) vedika beta tumhari liye ek offer aya hai
Rahul is like oh no...
Vedika: offer kaisa offer??
Naina: modelling ka
Vedika: kya??????????? (looks at Rahul) modelling ka??
Naina: haan...dekho vedika rahul ke shows dunya bhar mein mashoor hai...rahul jis kisi bhi model ko main lead finalise karde..uski raaton raat kismat badal jati hai...aur jab rahul aur models kiliye yeh sabh kar sakhta hai to apne behan kiliye kyun nahi?? haan??
Vedika: vo to teekh hai mama..magar..
Naina: magar kya beta?? kya tumhe bhi yeh lagta hai ke modelling ka yeh offer tumhe reject kardena chaheye
Vedika: mama vo baat nahi hai..magar dhruv..(naina interrupts)
Naina: (angry) dhruv kya vedika??? (she talks very loud) what is wrong with you vedika...ab tumhare career ka faisla dhruv karega...??? dekho vedika..bachpan se likar aaj thak maine ya tumhare papa ne tum par humara koi bhi decision thopa nahi hai..we have never forced you to take any decision in life..neither have we ever taken a decision for you...beta tumhari zindagi ka faisla tum karogi..dhruv nahi...(vedika is shocked) is ka matlab ke agar dhruv ne na karde to tum modelling nahi karogi???
Vedika: mama vo baat nahi hai...
Naina: to aur kya baat hai vedika..i don't understand..tum...tum aise to nahi thi..tumhari zindagi ka har faisla tumne khudh liya hai..aur aaj tum..aaj tum chate ho ke ab dhruv tumhari zindagi ka faisla kare??
Vedika: mama aap galat samajh rahe hai...(signs) mama aap chate haina ke main modelling karon...(naina knods her head) to teekh hai main tyaar hoon...bhai ke show kiliye main modelling zaroor karongi..ok??
Rahul is shocked. Naina is very happy and hugs Vedika. Vedika looks at Rahul and gives him an assuring look. Naina is very happy. She gives a wicked smile.
