Makers Male lead and supporting characters/Parallel lead ko elevate karna chahte hai since everyone hates them but they are positive characters with achai so isliye female lead ke character ko aise ajeeb scenes de rahe hain. This generation is literally running on Abhira's shoulders. She is fan favourite of everyone (except few people)

Whatever Ruhi wants she gets it. She wanted Armaan even after marriage with Rohit, with out her doing anything Rohit left , Vidya and Dadi’s hate for Abhira is leading to her wedding with Armaan. She wants to fire Abhira but Armaan is doing it for her with out her lifting a finger.

I think in that moment he understood that more insults are loading on Ab because of the Stage mishap and also Kaveri have been mistreating her continuously so he just did whatever came up quickly in his brain and that is to remove her from the venue.
