Dildar does lack self confidence and assertiveness bcoz he has been in that environment for years. His voice has always been silenced & dominated by Bebe & Babita, he doesn't have equality with them. Even Virat doesn't heed him much. He lives in his own bubble.

P.s about Jayesh -what to even say, instead of comforting his daughter he taunts her but I wasn't expecting Ammu to retaliate at that time bcoz she was half dead when he was jeering at her.

We really shouldn't be surprised or be too disappointed. They have always been clear with us on their direction of the show.
